I still think Solomon is the dad, at this point of the story and the supposed government/military involvement i suspect the dna results being faked (is this even possible ...?), Carrington confirmed that Colleen is the sister of the MC or was Carrington just playing him? I feel similar lost about this point like the MC

Brooo, Rockford is very obviously underselling his own achievements / unable to recognize them. He is the only one who perceives it like that, everyone else considers him a top top lawyer including his coworkers and look up to his integrity.
He apparently rocked this case publicy (even tho he doesnt see it like that) which quickened up his career but thats just a case of being at the right spot at the right time which you will need even when you earned it.
I think the crux is Rockford not being able to aknowledge how much he shines with talent because of his inferiority complex relating to his upbringing. Im kinda of surprised that he fooled you into believing this bs?
He's incredibly talented and has the face, values and backstory to be a good politican.
I doubt strongly the senator pulled these strings, imo the senator didnt paved the path for rockford to success, he just gave him the possibility to achieve success. It was more like a test, giving Rockford the capabilities and watching if he's "worthy" of it (from carringtons perspective, he will probably love the detached path MC lol).
No the blonde didnt appeared before is apparently like the right hand (wo)man of carrington and therefore involved in the "talent-programm" they have lol, i doubt rockford would be the only one which talent they are assessing and valueing for their goals. So she probably watched Rockfords career with interest for quite some time as its kinda her job.[/SPOILER]

This would be kinda a shitty game wouldnt it? Building someone up to become senator just to mentally destroy him immediatly afterwards doesnt seem like the best approach.
Even less if it would be so easy for him to get Rockfords gratitude/loyality with being honest and open about it.
I feel like Carrington is way closer to the orcs than just being the head of this one commitee and wouldnt be suprised if he was the one who even created the unit and gave them their missions in the past and it may still be like that with Andras' new unit.
I dont believe the bs that carrington cares about the relatives of these guys just because they were supposed to have big military achievements. Imo it goes deeper and Carrington has no interest in any of that, esp his involvement, becoming public knowledge (and therefore maybe having the means to fake the dna results for national safety or whatever).
Well.. my gut reaction was that the twist at the end of Ch 4 is being set up as a bait & switch - a fake DNA test result, which, possibly combined with the Senator's offer to Rockford, are attempts to get Rockford to back off the case and Hobbs in particular [to avoid the only other alternative left for those in power - Rockford's elimination]. I believe you're right about Carrington and how deep his ties with the covert programs run. Jamison said that those in power will do anything to keep their secrets.
Then again, maybe Jamison is Rockford's father. We will only know in future chapters.
I guess chapter 5 will open with Emmeline and Rockford knocking furiously on a pharmacy door first thing in the morning, waiting for it to open so they can get the morning after pill : ) PS - The difference between Emmeline's LI path/non-LI path expressions at the end of the chapter are something to behold...
It also strikes me, depending on how well the timelines match, that a very young Rockford would have been a prime candidate for that new Orc training program, which only selected the kids of military personnel.

The thing is this is not how genetic inheritance works. I know that eyes in particular are often used in movies, TV, books, and other fictional stories to show relationships, but it doesn't mean anything. In fact, it is extremely rare for sons to get the exact (in terms of shading) eye color of their biological father. It always depends on what DNA the mother contributes. But even if the father and mother have the same eye color, it is not inevitable that the offspring will have it. The blue eye color, for example, is dominant. This means that if both parents have green eyes, the child is still more likely to have the blue eyes of the maternal grandfather.
So the fact that Rockford has blue eyes, even though his supposed father has green eyes, is nothing out of the ordinary. But, from the looks of it, it doesn't matter anyway. Solomon is apparently not the father.

The height difference makes one unforgettable to chose them. Atleast M looks good with MC, everyone except her look like children in front of MC. Them hugging MC and only reaching chest height creeps me out. Is MC just that big of a unit or he into some wierd fetish of small women.

Yeah i get it, it more rethorical questions/rant than an actual question. I wish they were little taller. I don't know what is it but something just feels wrong when LIs are that much smaller than MC

Many women likes it when the significant other is taller. Not too much, but half a head in heights. Sure, it's not that important, at least for the most, but the heights of men is for women what the cup size of women is for men. It's attractive.
