How to explain why the game is awesome without giving any spoiler.
- The best stories are always about people, their joys and sorrows, their troubles, their ups and downs, their dreams, how they cope with what life throws at them, about relationships between people, about love, hate, friendship, rivalry. This game is probably the best in this sense, it is difficult to find such deep and lively characters in the AVNs world.
- The best stories always involve you emotionally, you can empathize with the characters, you can feel their joy, love, lust, you can hate them for being stupid (because we are all smart in hindsight cause we see the bigger picture while watching the story from the outside and know what the characters don't, right?) And in that sense, this game is an emotional rollercoaster. I can't count the number of times I, as a fan in the stadium, screamed in the monitor at the MC like he's a forward who missed the goal and wanted to give him a good slap on the head. This MC is one of my favorites.
- The plot is complex and confusing enough for AVN that I need to take notes as I play, with names of minor characters, suspects, events related to the investigation, and interesting enough that I want to bother with taking notes. Usually I don't care if I missed or forgot something, cause I certainly won't miss a pussy! But in this game I follow the plot closely - again, credit to the author.
- LIs are amazing. Of course, you can say that about any game with attractive enough characters, but they are alive here. They are not perfect, they have problems, flaws in both personality and body features but that makes them strangely wholesome and appealing.
- Many unexpected turns. Of course, after hundreds of films, TV series, books and AVN, it is difficult to surprise you with anything, all of this has already happened somewhere in one form or another. And yet, some turns were quite shocking. I did not expect THAT in THIS game.
- I know that many players don't care about music, many turn it off altogether. But here the music is selected just perfectly. And it is not the songs, only the music. But it so accurately corresponds to what is happening on the screen, it gets into the mood so much that it greatly enhances the effect of the scenes. I can't even imagine how much work it took to find and select all these tracks. Excellent!

Monk, thanks for the great show, the update was totally worth the wait!
The only thing I didn't quite understand was that Rockford sometimes starts making some decisions on his own, without the player's input, and acts on them. And it's not obvious to me whether this is a result of my previous choices or canonical character behavior. I don't want to look at the walkthrough, I think I'll figure it out after a few playthroughs. Of course, my first playthrough was THAT ONE girl's route. Thought a lot. Went to sleep confused.
