Played the update.
What I liked:
1) That Rockford met Koch without Emmeline being present. She's got enough pain from him. But I'm kinda disappointed in Malena over the whole situation: why frequent a place where you sometimes meet the asshole who raped your friend? I wouldn't set my foot there if I were in her place.
But I still want Koch to meet Valentine from Unbroken in the cage and get a career-ending concussion.
2) When Rockford finally snapped out of the whole "but I want my asshole Daddy!".
3) The Roger Smith character. That's IM's username on Reddit, so he's kinda an author avatar? A far cry from the tall, young Black guy from the first extra
.
4) The plot twist.
While I'm not interested in Em as a LI, I like her a lot as a character and a person, so to me, she actually works better as a sister: my Rockford won't have to grow too distant from her when he finally gets with Jamie. Also, while I never suspected Em to be MC's sister, I did strongly suspect Jamison to be his father early on, because c'mon, Rockford's a spitting image of him but younger. When he named Hobbs as MC's dad, I was very surprised, but my suspicions layed dormant. Now I'm very satisfied they were true after all. Also, mad respect to IM for sticking with the twist further down the road rather than simply make it a cheap cliffhanger.
5) The extra scene. I knew I couldn't trust Vega
! Also, it sorta explains why Rockford won't have sexy dreams after that: they're gonna become nightmares!
Neutral:
1) Do Armin and Aghavni ever discuss the fact that they're both Armenians in the US
?
2) Jamie (my fav; I know, I'm not original)
apparently leaving for work. Well, I didn't see anything except the offer being made, because I fell onto the "Detached" path, but from what I've learned here, I'm disappointed; but mildly so. Rockford doesn't exactly give her any reason to think that their relationship's gonna progress any time soon, being obsessed with Solomon and all, and she's not the first or even the second person he goes for help to, so her leaving is justified. And I'll make sure to blueball my Rockford for as long as Monk wishes, because I'm not interested in the other MGs long-term anyway. So, while it's unfortunate, Jamie doesn't end up losing much in my case.
What I disliked:
1) Falling onto the "Detached" Path which I'll probably have to replay the whole game to get rid of. And I have to, because it killed my Jamie run. Being a Sigma focused on the grind is nice and all, but it's an AVN after all.
