You know I'm genuinely confused why the first thing i see on a lesbian game comment section is some peoples asking for a "Male Protagonist" WHEN IT IS A SHOW ABOUT FEMALE MC AND IT IS A LESBIAN GAME FANFIC.
Another thing that I've been meaning to do for a while, but never gotten around to
(although this time because it could come off as overly cunty); My short answer to this is that it's just the tip of the Basic Guy's Porn Tastes flowchart. They want: A Male MC added; To fuck [specific female character who isn't appropriate in the story - usually incest]; To fuck every female character; To have a harem; To remove the NTR; To remove the Gay content; To remove the Female MC; To remove any scene where a female character even talks to a guy that's not MC. Complaints mostly come up in that order, but it's been a while since I've browsed here significantly, so I might be missing a step.
They generally don't consider that other people have tastes different to them or have different plans for their story/game/whatever (in fact I've seen them tell people to change their game just because the market for their changes is bigger and the female MC is a waste of time, even in a story with a lot of shared scenes and asset/image reuse...). They also probably don't even realise they're doing this, but it's a pretty consistent trend, when I've looked back at posting histories. They're also... frankly kinda dumb (hence why they ask for stupid changes like putting a random guy in) and there is more of them, so there's less barriers to speaking up and more people who might talk about it.
I do have
some minor sympathies for them, as frankly, there's an absolute slew of complete dogshit cash-grab games aimed at the Basic Guy. So, because oddities stand out, it can seem like all [gay, furry, female, etc]-centric games are amazing, because you found the
one released that week with decent production values, after wading through 30 shitty AI generated cash grabs aimed at you, and ignoring out-of-hand a handful of crappy ones made for alternative markets. I've also seen the odd exception that proves the rule - e.g. people wanting a female version of Max in Max The Elf, because that actually draws closer to being for "basic guys" in that genre, but is also closer for female protag fans.
That said... I can't really say I care. I go through the forum pretty regularly and can't just filter out [male protag] because I also like gender swap stuff. If I had their tastes, I'd be happy as a pig in shit. The biggest games all seem to cater to them pretty directly (most likes/popularity/most Patreon earnings) and even ones with female protagonists seem to cater to them (if they can get over the cooties they get from having to play
as a girl for a bit). Pretty much every male protag game without the gay or transformation tags, and a solid 1/2 to 2/3 of the female and futa ones, are squarely aimed at them. The odd passion project that somehow squeaks through just doesn't really make up for the deficit; Maybe that passion does make up for a lot, but it's nothing like having a decent budget.
anyway that's the end of my ramble about that topic this year.
Magical Girl Luna appears to be pure lesbian (I haven't finished the game, so I can't be 100% sure, but so far I haven't seen any required scenes with guys), although it appears that no actual sex occurs onscreen
IIRC, basically yes. The only exception I remember is one enemy which is actually a tentacle one (
it's the one inside the bear) and possibly some of the bad-end-dungeon ones (haven't tested them all - mostly animated objects though). The tentacles and a couple of other enemies (e.g. the Nurse boss) do come kinda close, but yeah, the lack of "actual sex" is one of the few things that saddens me about the game.
