what does everyone here think about interactive stories, like is it ok to recommend them here? I ask because I don't see any in the list or recommendations but I know one or two creators whose interactive stories I particularly like but I don't want to recommend stuff that is not in the spirit of the thread.

You mean something like the stuff from Hosted Games?

twine is a html engine for text games; some devs go far and beyond with it but out of the box it's essentially a webpage with text, hyperlinks leading to different text, and optionally some pictures inserted between text.

related genre: kinetic novels are books with more pictures than usual.

i wonder if there is a lesbian protag game that encompasses the vibe from this image:

Maybe not. Just like those Japanese visual novel stuff, you might see two girls French kissing on the cover, but inside the game, the two has little interaction.

An image is not necessarily related to what it looks like. Maybe a few frames later, a dick from nowhere would rush into the poor girl's pussy.

someone remind me to check the croc game on steam on november 27th. I want to see if they will change the date or it will actually get released and I don't trust myself to remember or remind myself.

also I can't find anything to play. I've played a good majority of what's on the list here, at least what my subpar labtop can handle, and none of the other sites I check are producing anything. Anyone got any recommendations for anything intresting or good to play.

Lord help me, I'm on my dating simulator bullshit again

Raided Itch.io for stuff that hasn't crossed over (probably because they're already free and none of these have sexual content, but it's whatever). Also most are horror themed but that's an unintentional coincidence. Ladies just love a monster girlfriend.
In ascending quality:

- ...the Russians are a very existentialist peoples

- The 'will they, won't they' dynamic combined with very few player inputs leave it lacking. Single love interest, single relationship dynamic regardless of player choices, only 1 main location for the entire game. Even the queer rep felt shallow at times. Oh the asexual wants to eat garlic bread? Cmon that's amateur hour shit! Do something with it! (I'm probably being too harsh since it was a gamejam, but I think they got the priorities got backwards. If development times is limited; a lot of quick but functional art and a little quality writing.)

- Starts pretty good but then it just keeps going and going and going... The characters have arcs where they learn and grow and stuff but the repetition of this get stale. It's in desperate need of being trimmed down to have 1 solid, long character arc or for the smaller arcs to have b-plots and shenanigans breaking them up and playing out like a sit-com series. If you've got more patience than me, you might like it.

- Obscenely cottagecore. Upsettingly cutesy. Offensively sweet. Also why have I not seen anyone else do turn based flirting yet??? Billion dollar idea! Unfortunately it has to be played in browser and mine keeps running out of memory and freezing before long, it might've taken the 2nd place slot otherwise.

- It is so funny to me to have 2 perfectly normal love interests and 1 that's just completely bonkers! Jade's luck powers are a fantastic gimmick, effect set-up, and good source of characterization. Her constant poutty face during group scenes is silly. It just runs clean!

- I'm surprised by how much I liked it too! Another gamejam hit. What How May I Direct Your Curse got wrong, this did the opposite and nailed it. The character artist especially got lightning in a bottle- perfect balance between being cutesy and spooky. The monster elements aren't downplayed or up-played, they're just casual facts of life for the characters and really fun to an outside audience. I wanna squeeze Cameron's stupid little wolf face! Short, sweet, works well. Delightful!

Honorable mentions of stuff I haven't gotten around to but looks cool: (looks like the gayest one yet! (y)), (another gamejam quickie), (will queer women ever recover from Lady Dimitrescu? Experts say "No".), (by the same dev studio as Our Life, Now And Forever. What the fuck??), (gamer girl? No, gay mergirl!), and (man I don't wanna put credit card info on my alt account ).

Anyone got any recommendations for anything intresting or good to play.

The only things I have that are not already on this list are things that won't fit on the list.

Hardcoded- Amazing game, metric tons of girldick. Do beware of the pillory if you don't want to interact with men at all, it's a random event thingy.

Transportal- Transformation game made by an actual trans girl. Play as a woman in the virtual world and as a "man" who slowly transforms into his game avatar in the real world. The little I played looks really sweet and hot but I think this is the sort of game I want to play finished instead of jumping back in every update. Also there is an option at the start that doesn't just block or skip hetro content but basically makes all man completely uninterested in you which is really nice.

Neon Heart- From the creators of Actual roommates. Enough said. (only one chapter so far though).

- The 'will they, won't they' dynamic combined with very few player inputs leave it lacking. Single love interest, single relationship dynamic regardless of player choices, only 1 main location for the entire game. Even the queer rep felt shallow at times. Tumbler user detected. Reminds me of the time we invited out the new emo girl from class and when someone mentioned they were bisexual she asked if they liked frogs and they just stared at her, extremely confused, for a solid minute.

Thirsty suitors is sort of but not really like that. It's a weird Scot Pilgrim inspired game where you fight against your exes and you either become friends/fwb/or possibly date? (never tried that, I hated almost all of them). Only two female "LI", one of which is annoying and the other is way to good for the mc and doesn't deserve her love or trust. It's a fine story with better and worse parts and the mechanics get a little old after a while... But what really made me dislike playing the game is that you play as someone who is, or at least was, an inexcusably bad person, and the game constantly guilt trips you over all the things she did in her past.
Overall, not a dumpster fire, but can't really recommend.

anybody heard of enaya's trilogy? i was looking through games missing protagonist tags and this appears to be a lesbian series.
the story roughly is: a lesbian turns down another, the latter refuses to move on, fails a magic seduction ritual and summons a succubus who turns almost everybody into lesbian monster girl demons, and the few remaining human women, including the first lesbian, try to survive.

i gave up on finishing the first game because of constant lack of clarity where the next destination is, and then checked the epitaph game to see what the "male protagonist" tag on it is about (maybe a typo in "monster girl" because there's only women and female protagonists at the beginning and i've found no male characters in game files), but this post says it's all lesbian sex and the game files for all three games contain only pictures of women and of women having sex with other women.
