Recommending Lesbian Protagonist Games List (My Version)

Not entirely. I think it is a frequent request, but is a bit different from the main Basic OmniGame Pipeline, and it does kinda depend on who they're asking to be a futa and why. At best, I think it's something that may get raised earlier on, but then shaved back off at the "remove the gay stuff" part of the tree.

It doesn't just come to people not understanding others might have different tastes, but some are also, and very unfortunately unable to differenciate fiction from reality, and think their tastes fetishes should be a reflection of what hey like or dislike in real life.

And in extension to that, feels like they should be able to self insert in the stories/games.

RWBY is a perfect example of that

I'd say kinda, but I think there's a few parts to it. Some absolutely cannot self-insert, sure, but I also see the appeal in self-inserting, especially if the world is strong. However, a lot of self-insert stories on the Basic side tend to be... just shit? Like, the story is just a vehicle for porn with recognisable characters, it's not about actually putting you in the world. It's easier to ask the strong storywriter with a quieter audience to cater to them, instead of asking the person who does cater to them to write better. But they can still get fucked for trying to pull content away from underserved audiences.

Let's be honest, there's never going to be a way to categorize the list that satisfies everyone.

Also... yeah, that's basically my thought, especially with regards to trans characters. I was thinking of striking a balance between the tediousness of putting in too much data or arguing about categories vs still having a useful tell for what's token and what's serious.

Neat! Not sure how much I can add because I have real problem of actually following through to- hell, even one ending let alone all of them. Still, I'll slap in what I can.

For column changes; "Is the Protagonist interested in men, women, or both?" is a bit odd. For example, Toro 7 lets the player pick their character's gender and sexuality right at the start and some (I wanna say The Hero's Journey?) let your character choose over the course of the game. So is the prompt going by maximum or minimum degree of options? Like, are we looking for how many orientation options it has overall or how specifically lesbian the player can make it?

It's probably overkill in these situations. As a reader/user of the list, what would you prefer to see?
You'd probably put both since you can pursue either. Other columns tell you you can play a full lesbian route.

If you fill something in and don't put in a detail, someone else is free to do it. The key parts are up front.

Yep, already had a bit of a nose through and put in some details for games that I've got experience with. Only thing I can think of that's lacking is it's not easy to tell if some of the later columns have been checked and left blank vs not checked, though a lot of that stuff can just be considered a bonus I guess.

There's probably some pieces missing or things someone might want that someone else might not. I made it fully accessible/editable and pre-populated with Cboy's existing list details (except all 2D are Anime and 3D are DAZ... since there's no delineation in OP). But I feel like this covers a lot.

Feel free to update data. This can be as good or not good as anyone updating it. I updated my own game (Erisa's Summer) as an example.
Please don't change columns or validation rules. If you want to argue a change, have it as a discussion here, please.

Just a suggestion but I would add "2d (pixel art)" for game art, and "Player Decides" for protagonist's sexuality.

I'd rather these columns show the gamut of options rather than whether you can pick them. Then you can filter on these to see if it matches your taste. Maybe I'll add a column that says whether or not you make that choice (just like on mc sex)

And thanks for the kind words. If I could get Daz scenes or writing done nearly so quickly in such little time, I'd be way further on my game by now!

Echoing others: the effort to keep this up is great! No problem with the list. There's just only so much you can do and a level of organization and filtering you can achieve without a spreadsheet/table.

I filled it with everything you've already organized and made it publicly editable so all can contribute - just as an expansion of sorts.

Yeah. Saw you mention from your latest update that brother-sister content got 2 scenes, mother-son got 3 and mother-daughter got 1 teasing scene that looks like light groping. That's a bad sign. This game doesn't yet belong on the 2 lesbian threads posted imo. However, if you can start being a bit more fair with distribution of content (meaning if the daughter is getting only light groping, the son should get equal treatment), it would fit right in on the lesbian incest thread at least. Unavoidable male scenes are despised here, however. Regardless, I wish you luck with your game. Renders look great and I look forward to playing it when there is more girl on girl content
