No they do not screw up your game, there built in so go ahead and cheat all you want.
I don't actually know what the side effect of using the built in cheats are, but this is a denpa game and it does track if you've used any of the cheat codes in your save.
If you're like me and would really rather not find out what happens with that, you can use saveeditonline.com to do te same thing as rosebud. Just upload your save, do ctrl+f, and search for _love and set each variable over 100.
It's more like a game with pornographic elements than a porn game. As far as the animations, there is no excuse, he just wants the game to be made in a way where the player doesn't just automatically miss entire elements. I mean where is the logic in trying to find an excuse not to do animations and then doing animations anyway. There is actually a valid reason for this method, there are going to be multiple scenes where paying attention to the text is extremely important because it will clue you in on what choices to make or not make in order to get everything. For example, the Rin events, where there is in fact a choice the player can make that WILL lead to being locked out of AT LEAST one Rin event. If you are too distracted by the animations or otherwise makes the choice to do what Rin asks you not to because you skipped the text, you get locked out. The only other ways to avoid it besides reading the text are sheer dumb luck in guessing what not to do or some out of game research, which people on this forum tend to be bad at in my experience since things that have been answered constantly get asked repeatedly in other threads I follow. That Rin event is only one of several that will have conditions that will lock you out if you aren't paying attention. This is so that choices you make in the game actually have an impact, something that is exceedingly rare in independent games, especially adult oriented ones.

A lot, there are quite a few people on this forum with the misunderstanding that this forum is only for porn games, which I honestly don't blame them for given the ratio of porn games to non porn games.
I haven't yet and we are, what, 10 releases in? I'm too interested in the story.
You're also kind of right, though you really should give yourself a little more credit. It's more than solid, it really is an amazing project so far.

Man, I'm feeling really bad for Chika rn. With all of the other girls that the mc is involved with rn, they all seem to at least see that he's a douchebag and accept that and him to some extent. And I think, they'd also be somewhat open to accepting that he's involved with (or trying to get involved with) the other girls as well, or at least are resigned to it.
Chika, though... She kind of seems like she really sees him as this genuinely nice, if a bit perverted, person. He's pretty chill as a teacher and doesn't judge her just based on looks, helps her out with her family situation and her sister likes him already. Hell, he genuinely seems to be trying to help her best friend who has real people issues and stays there despite the girl basically insulting him all the time. As far as she's concerned, their relationship practically looks like some wholesome route in an SoL VN. So whenever he hangs out with other girls, or Yumi insinuates some things about him, she just trusts and defends him. Which is ironic because Yumi's probably the one he actually legitimately wronged the most among all of them.
The fallout from when Chika finds out is not gonna be pretty. I kinda feel like it'll rival badhomie stuff. Good writing, damn.

I wish people would realize that there is a porn for the sake of porn, and porn as a part of the whole package. Oftentimes it's not even the main focus, like in this case. I would honestly be willing to bet that Selebus could all just make it fade to black and nobody would bat an eye. The thing people in this forum thread are part of kinda transcended your average fap material a long time ago.
Eh, I'd only partially agree with that. I most certainly still want the porn to be there. I don't think it could just be made to fade to black like that and keep my interest for more than a month or two more (or at least, not at this stage in the story yet), not unless it's like near the end and the ending parts simply don't have or need them. It's just that sometimes people don't just want the porn part. It's a lot more satisfying when backed up with something else, in this case, really good characters and writing. In other cases, it's the gameplay or smth which makes the porn part feel more... rewarding, I suppose?

I had the same thoughts, we're looking at the beginning of a VERY dark time for Chika if things don't turn around real fast. She may go straight to becoming the most mentally broken girl in the game if this keeps on the path it is treading. She already started in a much worse position to be in to find out Sensei's true nature thanks to how naive she is.
