actually found this through a comment sel left on some random weird game i seen forever ago, thought his pfp looked cute and noticed he was a dev. looked at his game but at the time really did not like the 3d genre of games, left a comment stating i thought his game looked cute but the 3d aspect killed it for me. he commented back convincing me to give it a try and have been hooked ever since.
following this game closely ever since 0.2.0 now.
I wasn't a fan of 3D much myself but the Koikatsu stuff started to grow on me. Now it's basically my jam. Sel's pfp also was v cute so I guess we can judge a book game by its cover.

Question for the public, how did you discover this game? I miraculously found this site by happenstance, browsed the new games section and thought the game cover looked interesting and gave it a download. Little did I know this game would change my life (not really but you get the point).

How does one advertise a porn VN outside a porn-game pirating website?
I found a subreddit, r/lewdgames or something, while going using the Random NSFW feature. Never thought about playing horny games before, started looking up reviews, found this site, found this game highly reviewed. Am now paying a monthly stipend to feed Maya watermelon.

yeah still not a fan of daz and all that though, but i do agree that KK models have grown on me a lot as well.
though to be fair im a huge sucker for tomboys, i kinda get drawn in by anything halfway decent with one in it.

Same, not a fan of daz renders. They feel a little too unrealistic for me, not my cup of tea. Koikatsu is fine since I'm into doujins and hentai/anime so the art style works. Tomboys are definitely cute though I'm into anything well drawn or rendered.

I still have no idea how that happened. That table is literally built into the map.
Maybe it's secretly meant to be an interactable object ?

The wiki has a bunch more easter-eggy type lust names

Oh G0D, praise to the guy who made this

You can use the terminal to change anyone's nickname no matter what anyway.
Even bypasses some of the characters "no" scenarios.

The "latest updates" page here on F95. It looked like it would be good, like every other Illusion based game I find, but little did I know it would be as good as it actually is. The typical quality here doesn't exactly foster high expectations. As for advertising, pay sites like SubscribeStar, forums like this, can't do much else because normal sites are so freaking restrictive.

I personally just follow users. In this case, there was this game called Hero's Harem Guild that was featured on this site, and I really liked it. I also kept seeing Raf-Raf there, so after 2 months or so, I checked out what other games he/she was interested in cause maybe our interests overlap....in which they did after I found LiL as well :)
I found HHG the same way I did LiL, the "latest updates" page. I'm not sure if I even knew of this game before then and I haven't noticed any of the people here there, though I am about as unperceptive as they come, probably more so than Sensei himself.

As an eroge/VN addict, I am on a lifelong journey to find ones that have clever writing, well developed and loveable girls, and a deep thought-provoking story. Started hunting for stuff on here after exhausting most of my options for translated Japanese games that aligned with my preferences, and eventually found this gem after after trying many others that only deliver in 1 or 2 aspects or have barely any content.

15.0 update has been absolutely killer. Once again I'm blown away by the quality, the writing just keeps getting better and better as the world slowly hints at its true nature and Sensei gets himself into more inescapable situations. Happy to say this game popped my Patreon cherry, Selebus deserves every penny.
I wouldn't say it popped mine, it was too late for that, but it is the first to get as high an amount as it gets. I usually go for the minimum I can get away with and get the benefits for financial reasons, this one got the maximum I could give at the time for the same reasons.

Well, I found F95 when someone from one of the various pirate sites I frequent mentioned it (yar). From there, I just kept browsing games on here, usually checking the latest updates tab and eventually LiL popped up on it. I liked the look of the characters, and the description seemed interesting enough, so I gave it a try and quickly became addicted.

I think "addicted" is pretty accurate too. If you check my post history, I've only ever made a handful of posts on threads other than this one. Pretty sure over 90% of my posts have been related to LiL.

[Edit] Just counted. As of the date of this post, I've made a total of 20 posts in threads other than this one. So slightly over 95% of my posts have been about LiL. [/Edit]
I think only three other game threads combined can beat this and only because I'm usually over there as some sort of tech support, Koikatsu, AI Shoujo, and Honey Select 2. No other thread gets this much attention and certainly not by itself. Harem Hotel and The Headmaster get quite a bit and I often discuss things over there, even relatively recently started theorizing in the Harem Hotel thread, but nothing beats this game's discussion in quantity or quality of said discussion.

Definitely not, most of the Daz renders I've seen were terrible, but that might have been more of a creator issue. I have never had that problem with Illusion.

But where's the fun watching the girls nearly pass out in shock watching how happy the girls are to comply in that?

Damn, I found that if you typed certain names during name changing moments, it'll unlock happy secret dialogues, like :

And the world ended after that....

Idk about that but,

OH GOD, OH HOPE, this name should remain in the "No No" zone

I just hope that when in the indefinite future we will be able to tell Yumi a new name for Sensei she will just completely ignore alll and continues to call him whatever the fuck she wants ^^
Unless they're insults or maybe something cringy and we will force 'er to say those names.

MEGA Sasuke

Also, they already said that this world is made for us so don't feel bad about SOME decisions you made that has uhh negative outcomes~~~

Yup. If you've seen me couple of posts in the past listing all the names with unique reactions from the girls, I mentioned you can pick whatever name you want using the computer and that the way I double checked this proved I was a bad person. Specifically, I made Haruka call me her husband. I don't know why I like bullying her so much, but I do.

Man, you hit right at the forbidden weak spot of her, you're not bad, you're a sick fck

But anyways, thanks to Selebus for spending time to add some extra spice to the game's dialogue.

The funny part about that is I really could see her humoring him for just long enough to tell her a name just to say hell no and start calling him what she wants. It would probably just fuel more insults, though not necessarily meant to be hostile, more like a facade as usual.

Indeed, not every dev goes into this much detail and it is a pretty extensive amount of work to do that because there's the names, there's the code, there's the responses, all having to be typed in line by line at one point or another even if he is using some sort of single defining variable that does all of them. Even then, you still have to set up the code to recognize every single input it is supposed to, I can only imagine how much the work would multiply if he thought of every single response possible, and feed it to the code that spits out a response and that code has to be set up in a way that allows it to detect multiple different inputs and spit out a response dependent on the input or to spit out the same response for similar. Example, if one input is dad and another is daddy, it should spit out a pretty similar response, but if one of those is instead onii-chan, it should be different.

Yup, and all that is discounting the fact that he also does different renders for their reactions to different names. It's even more work since, at least the last time he did this, it's clear he's still learning the best ways to actually program these things. Here's the code for picking Kirin's name since that's the most recent one added as of this post (unless I'm having a massive brain fart and am forgetting someone):

That's 186 lines of code just to handle her different reactions to the possible names. You can see in the "Onii-chan" variations that he tried a super-cumbersome way of programming the different variations at first, then commented it out and put a much better way right below it. In all the previous name picking events, he used the more cumbersome way.

He even has variations based on events you've done with them, like changed dialogue based on if you got caught with Ayane during the beach event or not. This happens with all the girls when you choose a name for them to call you. Asking Chika to call you Rin is pretty dang different if you do it before or after the beach event, for example.
