Well, if this statement from Sel is to be believed:

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Then everyone, Wizards included, will have H-scenes prior to the Dark Route, which is set to be in Chapter 6.

What that means is we’re in for a wild rest of Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 (Fall/Autumn) where the rest of the unlewded characters finally get dicked down. It will be fascinating to see how that all comes about…

Tsuneyo is the most recent example we have in the latest update with the Sekai intervention, who forced her to accept certain feelings and desires within herself much quicker than she otherwise would have. I would have expected Tsuneyo to be one of the last characters to have a Lust tracker in the game, and yet here we are.
Of course, now that Sel introduced time-fuckery, that could mean that 31-year-old Akira ends up having a wild foursome with 45-year-old Chinami, Tsukasa, and Nao-sama. ;)

ETA: Just to be clear, I would be completely down with that.

Sorry i can't upload images but at the very beginning of the game, when ami visit us in the school office, she ask for keys.
Sensei ask about if there are a spare key under the mat. Ami says someone STOLE THE KEY and they had changed the lock.
Do we know who stole the key. Or was ami lying about it and trying to get the key from sensei so she has more control of sensei's life from the start.
This feels like a subplot that was forgotten or something that wasn't meant to go anywhere. The only two people in the cast that might have the incentive to sneak in and simultaneously know this IS the place they're looking for (at that time point) are Maya and Ayane. However, Maya already had the spare key (which is acknowledged by Ami) and Ayane already had a functioning "emergency key" (which may or may not have been acknowledged by Ami). Thus, neither of them so far really demonstrate either the need of stealing a key or any proof that the stolen key is in their possession, and neither mentioned it even once. Moreover, if the culprit was Ayane, it bears very little relevance to the story if she didn't break it to Sensei well before they went through this much; like, what's that going to add now since yall are surviving apocalypses together and fucking like rabbits everywhere already?

In the case of Maya, however, one can write a spin-off about how she originally stole the key (or given by Sensei) to either keep being sneaky, or indirectly forced Ami to change the lock so that she could ask for a spare key for easier sneaky visits in the future. I called this spin-off because I have no proof and the story functions completely normal without it. It will remain that way until somehow this trivia miraculously receives endorsement from future updates.

Another goofy alternative is Himawari stealing the key so that she can check on her dad; but again, another spin-off without evidence or relevance.

Well i doubt someone can truly help me with this (for me is so random and dont know why this happened), but when i try to load old saves the game give me an error. I tried downloading it again because i was having an error trying to save news saves that said it had "memory errors" i dont remember well.
I tried loading an old save because i forgot a happy event and wanted to do it. (sometimes some old saves load weirdly loading some random moment and others load correctly. Also idk if it was for the new download but i couldnt skip all the things i already saw)

It would fuck me very hard having to replay all the game again for all the time it would consume me (read things and replace every save i had. I have 80 pages of saves...) Luckily this time i wont have to grind it all thanks to URM but it is still a pain in the ass having to do every hellish puzzle (i have saved some but idk if i have them all).

What worries me the most is do it before next update, i know i have 2 weeks but also i have very little time to play, so i would be grateful if someone knows how to fix it or if i just give up and start again rushing all the game.

Bunch of questions to help debug the problem:
1) Is the problem with all save files or just new ones?
2) Are you using any mods? If so, could you list them?
3) There were some saves shared on this thread, do those work for you? If they do, I'd just give up on your existing saves - you might need to replay some parts but it's mostly linear anyway
4) Sanity check if the saves from the thread don't work: how did you re-install the game? Did you extract it into a fresh folder?

This same error has been reported on the Discord before. There is a temporary fix for it, as listed here:

The previous changelog also addresses this particular error, stating that it should be remedied by 0.45 (next update).

Right, i knew i forgot to add some info.
1. It is some files, a few very old load fine (sometimes. Other times it load randomly before the save was done)
2. Yes, i use the guide mod and dark mod, also i have the packages there (every patch i do the steps to disable the drm that are at the 1st page)
3. I didnt try using any saves on the thread, looking like some work and some dont. Should i try to download and try some of them?
4. I extracted it into a new folder and deleted the old one seeing that i had those problems and with this new one i didnt have them. (the memory ones)

The first pic talks about 0.43, how should i do it for the 0.44? It should be no problem search for an only update here but i dont know how this will work with the current update (just in case im talking about that i have to put 0.42 files into the 0.44 update. I may overthink it but i dont want to mess it up)

If you want I can give you a save before triggering the happy event.
Also, I've found the better place to save to avoid those errors is just as the days changes, or when an event begins, because almost all my saves that were mid-event or on other points got bricked too.

Thx, but i dont want to bother more than im already doing, if i can fix it fine if not i will just re-start and replace everything until reach that event.
(I usually save before and after one event and sometimes if it is a chain between events, also i save when there are options and when the URM tell me there are variables. I think the happy event is from 0.43, its the one after "Rain king" and before "Kyoto". Luckily if what Zuko post about being fixed by 0.45 i will wait to see if the ones i couldnt replace by the time it is released are fixed. Also i had been able to end this update so i think i could follow the next update normally)

Unless the next update ends in another cliffhanger or it blocks the way of getting the happy event, I think it can still be done after the next update. Otherwise, here's a save where the conditions for the event are met, you just have to trigger it.

You could try a slightly adjusted version of the steps in the screenshot Zuko shared:
1) Open the "Lessons in Love/game/" folder in windows explorer
2) Sort by file type
3) Move all the .rpyc files into a separate folder (as backup) - if you can't tell which files are .rpyc then google "windows how to enable file extensions in explorer"
4) Relaunch game
Basically Ren'Py games have a bunch of .rpy files that contain script/code that the game engine has to process in order to run the game. To save time in reading/processing the .rpy files over and over, the engine saves the results of its processing to .rpyc files and reuses that after the first game launch. But sometimes the .rpyc files can go out of sync with the original .rpy files. Basically this'll forcibly refresh those files

The engine has logic for detecting when files go out of sync but sometimes it gets confused so it's worth a shot

Btw if this doesn't help then I'd try a fresh install with no mods

So I had the "benefit" of playing this game from start to finish without too many interruptions in the last few weeks, so all available content is still fresh in my mind.
There's of course a lot I appreciated about it. Yet the game design has only suffered the more you play, and it feels like it's done maliciously. Why ? Does the dev hate his game's playerbase ?
I don't want to make this a full review so I'll just list here some of the worst examples in my opinion.

I saw someone earlier arguing that intentionally bad gameplay design is a form of expression in video games. I don't agree that's the case here at all. Harsh design is supposed to at least convey feelings or offer opportunity for skill expression, and most importantly, should respect the player's time.
You're not supposed to win that absurdly hard mini game in Danganronpa V3, you're supposed to lose it in order to progress. If you practice enough to win it, good for you, it's actually quite the achievement and the game rewards you with a scene, but that's it. You're not forced to do it again until you win. The grinding in Undertale's genocide route is admittedly annoying and made unpleasant to convey how awful your actions are, but at least you won't spend more than 30 to 45 minutes per area. The gameplay loop in Papers Please can be extremely stressful and convoluted, but it's made that way to convey how dystopian Arstotzka is and is regularly interrupted by main events occurring in your booth.
I don't see any of this in LiL. Clicking while pressing CTRL until something happens is boring. Trying every contact in my phone until one of them works is extremely annoying. Giving hours of my time to killing green blobs in a pixelated world conveys me nothing, we already know Sensei is fucked up inside. There's no skill involved in trying every combination of choices until you beat a boss.

This is just my assumption, but I can only interpret this as the dev being complacent at maintaining a good gameplay loop first, and taking advantage of people sinking hundred of hours in his game already to get away with whatever silly jokes he wants to put in his game.

2 things I wanna say real quick followed by a question/request.

1) For whatever reason, the split downloads are wrongly named. Mac is the pc download and vice-versa. So I've had to redownloaded multiple times, which is extremely annoying and leads to point number two.

2) The downloads aren't working for me on here. Tried the main bulk one of 12gb and it said format was damaged or unsupported and then it said the same thing on the split downloads.

That being said I also only use this site, so no subscribe-star or patre-on or any other stuff, I use this site cause it was and has been mostly reliable. So can anyone provide me with a link with a reliable source to download this game?

Too harsh for ARPG fans. Btw, I completed the sensei-quest in about an 1,5 hour without using any hints.

I don’t understand this complaint about the game - the lil is not about fap. Why approach it with the same measuring stick as 90% of other h-games? This is not the place where you have to press control to see the boobs. The author wants to tell a story and he doesn't want the reader to feel comfortable. This is not a new technique in literature, I can immediately remember "Filth" of Irvine Welsh. In it you also read about the scumbag and look at the stages of the loss of his mind. And all this is written in an extremely uncomfortable and difficult way to read. Does this make the book bad?

According to Wiki, most players stop playing after "Room with clocks". This means that everyone who remains should know why they are here.

these are all fair points, I just wonder if you played it without the mod or puzzle answers/urm, and if so, why?
