I read the whole thread before posting, albeit skimming the non-Selebus posts. It was an interesting experience and well worth doing. The most interesting thing is how Selebus would help an enormous number of people and guide them through events - how to unlock them, what they're missing, etc. We're talking quadruple digit posts just helping people. This was rather intriguing to me, for was the purpose of the unlock conditions of these events not to be obscured to some degree? I had to wonder if developers universally feel some kind of stress response when people get stuck, or maybe in the past there was greater criticism-aversion such that helping people was felt as a way to avoid the game being blamed for the situation in some way... The most tragic post of all was Selebus's declaration that he would no longer be posting. I have felt that way a number of times at various points. It is like the last gasp of idealistic, purposeful choice against the ravenous hungering of the instincts. To know the right choice but be unable to make it without essentially putting your pride on the line by announcing it to others, thereby adding consequences to failing. It's for this reason I could not begrudge any stealthy posting on an alt that came after; how are we to quell the beast inside us that demands us to read everything, to see everything, to know everything, and most of all, to vent our truth upon them like steam from an overheated eye of sauron? In summary... damnit I didnt make it before the update who cares now. goodbye
