So is new Maya dead?
no more than anyone else that has been reset. Ami didn't look worried about her own demise.

This would be New Maya's first reset, if her accidental memory saving kicks in, she'll be fine. If not... well, we'll have to wait. Things are highly irregular, we don't know where they were (timeline wise) - there could be other variables at play - including the fact that we don't know what alt maya did while Ayane and Yumi went to the roof.

Nodoka, by her own planning, should be gone though.

That's as far as I got right now.
That's very much possible, I like this idea.
One thing I was wondering is whether Sekai is just as aware of this as Ami. Or even taught her this somehow. While she acts shocked when Ami decides to kill Nodoka, she very quickly composes herself and basically alludes to this not being that big of a deal, implying that she knows the world will reset. And she is very open from the start to Akira's story that he came from a different timeline.

Also, I remember someone coming up with a theory that Ami is trying to "bring back the moon" (I think that's from the Kaori event during Ami's camping trip) basically means resurrecting Sekai, which might be an eerie mirroring of Akira trying to bring back Prime Maya. Ami would not only miss her mom but also someone she can collude with in terms of reset fuckery (something she admitted to do to create a timeline where she can get what she wants), while she is currently alone vs. Prime Maya, Akira, Ayane, Makoto and now Yumi. So far she only got Sekai-possessed Kaori on board it seems, though she was actively trying to recruit Nu Maya on her side last update, and probably Ayane as well.

I think it's more likely that he left it as an easter egg for people that are going to replay the game in the next two months without content. As they'd trigger "Amy" again, and upon doing so, Alexis would start.
That is a good point, I haven't considered that. Still odd, but this would give it a plausible explanation.
Can't wait to finally start my first replay.

Furthermore, it's much more plausible for Ami to bring back someone that was done in because of the resets, and used to be alive in them - than simply bringing back someone that died prior to any supernatural stuff.

In a way, from her point of view, Sekai should be alive. And it doesn't bode well to Maya that she showed up/and kind of needs for Sekai to die for her to be there.

I mean, I can fault Ami for a lot, but I can see her point here. Yesterday you were a happy family, the day after, you find out that your mom now died 10 years prior, your dad is now your uncle, and a random girl that shouldn't exist is playing your best friend while occupying your mom's place, and fucking the person you love.

Btw, just curious, am I the only one who generally tries to avoid getting spoiled in this thread most of the time?
Nope, definitely not. I will try to skim a post without reading it closely to see if it looks "spoilery" once there is something out there for people to talk about. If it gets to where that seems to be most of the posts, I will just stop reading until I have had a chance to play it.

Anyone know how to get past this?

I'm at the point, after long hours of play, where I broke the world, apparently. After waking up from a weird dream with Maya (Skull f*cking Miku's head scenario, very sick btw) The only two options are to Go Somewhere, or Check you phone. Checking your phone yields the message, "The World is broken." Whereas the "Go Somewhere" option takes you to your limited choice of place and nothing else happens. Rinse and Repeat.

Is there a pattern I should be clicking or do I do this for a few days to get past it? If it is the latter, that is simply stupid.

Go to the Soccer Field to unlock a Happy Event, then go to the Shrine 10 times to raise god's affection to 10. After that, a new option, "Go to School" will unlock.

Sekai seems like a great wife, terrible person but perfect for a degenerate.
well, it goes to show she was being honest in Kyoto. She really did run away with Akira and became his "faithful" wife 100%, and a mother to Ami.

I also find it interesting that she's able to recognize that her Akira is entirely different from ours because yeah, hers would have grown up. I mean, he's not fucking Ami by design, neither Sekai nor Ami can convince him of things and he's become his own person. Even Makoto seems to have been his choice, rather than Sekai's suggestion.

They both seem to default to whatever he decides, and he seems to be in a much "better" place mentally (given that he refrains from incest), and has outgrown Sekai's influence to an extent.

Edit: minor note, I found it so funny that Ami basically becomes Noriko everynight, watching from the closet :ROFLMAO: such is karma

We learned from Prime Maya already that Ami was prone to kill off any competition if she didn't get her way. I also got the impression that everyone else was very disturbed by the scenes, Miku literally getting a panic attack, with Sekai being the exception with how calm and collected she seemed, probably due to her being "in on it" to some extent.

*Apologies for the double posts* But the last couple of Are You Happy Here posts have alluded to this update and this is the fourth time we have seen the pool area. It appears in Mother's Milk, briefly in Ad Meloria, most recently in Sonny Boy and it finally appears in a Are You Happy Here post.

I don't know if I see that Ami/Sekai event the same as all of you do.

I saw it as Ami has some degree of control over how to manipulate these parallel universes, and a shared consciousness to some degree between them all. She managed to somehow bring Sensei into the one where he was her legitimate father.. well now that I'm writing it out, maybe he's always been her legitimate father (if Sekai keeps the baby no matter what when Akira doesn't run off to Kyoto with her)?

I do still believe she's capable of manipulating timelines somehow. But now I'm more confused. I feel like there's going to be some sort of meta-game going on like DDLC where Monika was aware you were in a game (which I think the last reset puzzle was intended to get across)

Basically I've just written this out to further confuse myself. Oops.

Double posting like I'm Dc345, how embarrassing.

But the meta-game thing also would make sense with the ARG going on as well. We've been told so many times that this is all just a game, after all. And we were introduced to the God of Save States. I feel like the point of the last puzzle was to just further drive home the fact that it IS a game, we need to go INTO the game files to discern these answers (literally no other way to solve them, to my knowledge).

Whether or not this is enjoyable for the player is a different conversation, but when I think of it like that, I'm much less bothered by the reset puzzles.
