Making animations would actually be faster than capturing 30+ expressions for every sex scene and individually queueing all of them in. They aren’t the standard because:

A) They absolutely detract from reading for the average player.
B) I don’t want people playing for the sole purpose of jerking off.
C) I like still images better.

Don’t understand why this still a point of contention for some people when, even with that in mind, there are still over 100 fucking animations right now and more being added every other update.

I totally don't understand your logic in this case.
What animation have to do with distract player attention from the story or reading? Where does this supposition or feeling come from?
For me personally the determinant of a good game are three things: good and intresting story, good (decent) renders and animation and if the game includes all three at once then I can say that the game is really very good for me.
Of course if the game has a really very good story and nice looking renders and all the sex scenes are animated in it, then I can even find such a game as perfect. And believe that I have played a lot of different games in the adult category and it never even crossed my mind that animated scenes in game distracts me from the story told in it.

Of course it's still your game and I'm not trying to change your concept in any way.

I admit that I tried your game once a long time ago and I don't like the fact that we can't choose a name for the MC ourselves and on top of that he is called "Sensei" and after long time out of curiosity I tried play your game today once again and I see that this is not changed and MC is still called "Sensei" (and I still don't like that I can't call it what I want ) but apart from that I have no major reservations about your game, the story is interesting, the game have a lot of content and overal it is a decent game so I can say that you doing very good job, probably if I could choose a name for the MC yourself at the beginning of the game and all the sex scenes were animated I could even say that the game is very good.

Right at the beginning it says:

Is it even possible to have a happy game with twisted evil fuck MC? I now realize that when I read it for the first time, I didn't know that the word happy will be used for those scenes, where I'd choose any other word except this one. So that makes me a bit unsure. But still no, he's bad, but not that much bad.

No, if Patreon didn't have that stupid rule, we would most definitely be seeing more than what we are now with Chinami. It isn't in my head, that's just who player Sensei is, he will take what he can get no matter who he is getting it from. He is an equal opportunity POS.

It depends. If it was something age-appropriate (and I obviously use that loosely), like she would be curious about something sexual, he'd explain it, and there would be maybe some touching, but not more, ... that I believe Sensei could do. But more than that? No. I vote for "it's in your head" option.

I read about this possibility but this is not the same because for most of game all girls default still call MC as Sensei and I always preffer games when I can name MC as I wish from the beggining.

And unfortunately I'm not yet at the stage when I can choose what a girl should call me, because I'm still playing and collecting relationship points, so I'll probably only get later to the events where I can choose it.

Movement draws attention, that's how it distracts players. There's also the issue that it would attract more of the 'jerk off' kind of attention that Selebus does not want, which further distracts the player because they get more involved in sexual pleasure than the story.

Normally, yes, I would agree. It's kind of like the anime over manga argument, for which I am on the anime side, oh boy is that fun when it starts. People like to watch the moving pictures more than the static ones, that's just how the mind normally works.

In this game, however, animation of everything is both unnecessary and a detriment and, like Selebus, I am totally against it.

We already have people getting stuck on puzzles because they lack information they missed in previous events, the last thing this game needs is to exacerbate that with 'oooh, pretty motion.'

There are over 100 animated sex scenes last time I checked. That number could've surpassed the 200 if I checked again.

There are scenes with sex that you should focus on the story.
Then there are sex scenes that you use to grind certain points, aka, you can ignore the text.

So for me to say that only part of the scenes are animated to make the player focus more on the story is just total bullshit because in my opinion one and the other do not interfere with each other in any way.

I also agree about how this game came to be. I seriously doubt so many people would've found it to begin with if not for the promise of some hot sticky sex as reward.
Us finding out the writing is top tier came after that, and thank god. Now Sel has a livelihood doing what he loves, and we get dem writing, and even sex animations as the cherry on top!

I am actually quite relaxed. As for the players who download it only to jerk off, they're the ones who downloaded it, so they and they alone are to blame if this game isn't what they want. They have plenty of other games to turn to and chose one of the few that doesn't focus on porn.

You were right according to Selebus, over 100.

The people asking constantly is why I suggested Selebus contact the mods to see if they could add a moderator note to the OP about the stance on H content and animations being that they are both more limited than in an H game because they are not meant to be the focus.

Selebus is getting frustrated with constantly seeing it, you can tell by his wording when he responded. Frustration of any kind is a bad thing, even with a dev as devoted to his vision as Selebus.

Actually, I found this game simply because it went into the latest updates list and looked interesting based on the banner art at the time, which is what each entry in the latest updates list uses as a sort of thumbnail, oh boy was I right and oh boy did I not expect what I found. That's probably the case for literally everyone considering how this game is written.

What you suggest is the way the Koikatsu thread is handled, it doesn't work, unfortunately. The same questions get asked several times a day. That's why I suggested a moderator note, those stick out from the other parts of the OP. Then all we have to do when someone inevitably ignores the OP is tell them to read it. Three simple words would be better than a full explanation.

1. Not really, it specifically says exactly what the player has to look forward to. Chika derives the pleasure in the form of what happens in the scene, but is the bad homie player's misfortune.

2. Technically not, if the player reloads to a point before Chinami gets porked, just to use the context we were in at the time of the comment you're replying to, it would be like our own reset, like it never happened. That's the way I'm treating my restart from scratch, as if I never did anything to hurt Rin.

As for not doing her events, it would have to be patched anyway because of Patreon, so the choice is in downloading or not downloading the patch to enable it. That would put her entirely in the player's hands with all the implications that come with her content.

The choice is yours, fellow players, will you corrupt this poor innocent girl with no knowledge of the sexual kind and a severe medical issue or will you leave her alone? That is, if the game doesn't make your decision for you, after all, we are not in control, now are we?

Think of it like this, only player Sensei and Maya are aware the reset even happened and nobody else knows anything from before the reset. Since reloding the save resets in a way that even Maya and player Sensei are affected by, nothing before reloading ever happened.

Yeah, she's not totally emotionless, she's trying to hide them. It becomes a bit more obvious in a certain scene with a certain object later in the game when she sees it. You'll know when you see it. EDIT: Wait, that was a shot from the scene I was referencing.

You could always right click to open the menu and then hit either Main Girls, Side Girls, or Event Tracker to pull up the event tracker as well. Though there really should be Event Tracker and Girls in the 4th and 5th spots going from left to right on the bottom of the screen when not paused.

Just checked out this game (heard about it via Harem Collector cross promo). Really like it so far, and I especially like that there (at least so far) appears to be no time limit so I can just explore content instead of having to follow a walkthru religiously in order to avoid missing everything.

I pretty much like the whole cast but I'm praying there's a scene eventually with Maki + Makato, those two are fantastic.
