Alex, you look like a bloke on Jeremy Kyle explaining why he is refusing to take a paternity test. The kid is yours bruv.
Huh?
She clearly have a complex towards npth her sister and Ayane, but also looks up to them. At least at some point, she used to look up to Ayane.
They have known each other for a very long time, so I could see it.
Then, there's simply nothing to talk about. Thread's closed.
Look, there just aren't many things explicitly stated in this game and virtually all of our discussions revolve around reading between the lines. Even your current position on Ayane's pregnancy rest firmly on your interpretation of what's going on in this setting.
The case of Ayane's supposed pregnancy is, probably, the biggest and most obvious case of "say you're x without saying it". If your point that is nothing is real in this game or a subject of changing perception and retroactive editing, that's fine. You can't, however, say in good faith that "Ayane's pregnant/thinks she's pregnant" isn't what Selebus was going for. Her last event "Nevermind" is all about that:
Again, you can't argue reasonably, in good faith that Ayane's pregnancy isn't what Selebus was hinting at.
There really aren't enough lines to read between at this point, figuratively speaking. We need more information to be sure of what is going on, which future updates will give us.
Man, poor Ayane. Sensei really is that fucked up, huh?
Hopefully he does realize what happened and it gives him a real "Oh God" moment.
He might realize it, but I doubt 'oh god' will be what comes to his mind when he does.
I was going to complain about the lack of spoiler tags but then I realized that 95% of the posts would just be all spoiler tagged.. guess I'll come back to chat when I'm done
I would suggest it, half the time it is just theories based on presented information that people, me in particular, forget to spoiler. Usually, when it comes to public version events that have been in circulation for a while, I get a little more relaxed with my use of the spoilers because I figure most should have played the game by then at least beyond the point I reference. Otherwise I just keep any direct information out of my comments to avoid having to use the spoilers.
alex2011, I agree with you that each of those items,
taken individually, can be explained away.
Taken as a whole, considering the fact that Selebus gave us all of them during the same reset, I think the weight of evidence is very strong that Ayane was pregnant.
Strong, but not strong enough.
I just finished my week and half marathon of playing this game non-stop (which is easily the most i played out of any game from this site), and i had so much to say, but my thoughts are all in mess, again from playing this game whole freaking day. Also, it's like 1 am right now.
All i'm gonna say that this game, despite some thing i don't like, is very God god damn good. And that i've learned from playing P5 and Lessons in Love that i have a thing for smart girls with with short hair named Makoto, lol. Also, i may had have a burst of unreasonable irritation, when i realised that every girl first and second name starts with a same letter. Who does that?
I'll probably write a something like review when i'll play couple more updates, because again, this game awesome. So awesome, that if my poor ass get some money to spare, i'll probably going to support Selebus.
My english is probably sucks, so in case someone reading this - i'm sorry, lol.
P.S. - I finished all events on in game day 666... not creepy at all, nope.
Now that is dedication, I bow my head to you. As good as the game is, I don't think my body would agree to let me marathon like that.
Sensei Overnight is often described as Lessons in Love without the existential dread, and that's been a pretty accurate descriptor -- simiilar art style, similar gameplay loop, and even a very similar scenario, but it doesn't have as much content yet. Not sure how much sex is in there yet.
Changing Life looks like another attempt at a clone. At least, the scenario and visual style seem similar. I haven't tried that one yet since it's only had a couple of updates.
Clones popping up is a good sign, that means Selebus is doing something people want to emulate.
The only girls who seem to be okay with sharing are Noriko, as long as "no feelings are involved" (which there are gonna be, also she's kinda crazy), Kirin (who has a deep feeling of self-loathing and hatred towards herself) and Nodoka (who seems to have...something wrong with her, if the event "I See Everything" is anything to go bye.
It's kinda refreshing actually, most games on this site treat women as though they're ready to just hop onto whatever bandwagon the MC wants, not this game.
Yep, and I have no doubt there will be at least one incident where Noriko finds out he's with another girl and feelings are involved at some point. Nodoka seems to be caving to the pressure of expectations from her apparent high intelligence much like Makoto did, but I cannot yet confirm that. Most games treat women like that for easier access to sex scenes due to their status as porn games and their focus on the sex as the main aspect. Lessons in Love doesn't have that same focus or status, so it doesn't need to treat women like living sex dolls to be successful. It focuses on the story and making the girls more human, which has become of great benefit to the game.
And this game could have a "Pregnancy" tag -)
Tags are only for content already in the game according to multiple moderators I've seen in other threads that apparently had tags they shouldn't. IF this game gets actual pregnancy content, whether in game or in endings, it will have earned the pregnancy tag.
There are a bunch of other Koikatsu-based games if you like the anime-style graphics, but a lot of them look considerably worse than this one. I'm not sure if they're using an older version of the character dev tool or just putting a LOT less effort into the design. But School of Love: Clubs is one of the better looking ones, and has quite a bit of content.
I mean no offense to other developers when I say this, but it could also be a lack of skill. I am still learning things and I've been using Koikatsu since day one since the studio doesn't really need a translation. I hadn't played the actual game until the HF patch came out with the machine translation, but I was using the studio. It does have a bit of a learning curve and I am still learning about lighting and angles. I would show an example of my work, but all of my current work is on a project I am not giving details about at this time.
We've been told that there will, eventually, be sex scenes with every character in the game who isn't a 5000-year-old wizard.
That said, the timeline for this game is long. There's already over a million words and the game hasn't existed for two years. Selebus said that he expects to be working on this for years more. So, no, Rin isn't romanceable now. She will be in the future. But, as other people have said, this isn't a standard harem scenario, even if the girls are having their minds bent to like and trust Sensei far more and more quickly than they otherwise would. Some shit is going to go down, because this game is in part a deconstruction of harem visual novels.
And even the 5000 year old wizards MIGHT get something unofficial, never underestimate the player base of a game. I like that the game and/or developer aren't forcing the girls to like the MC in this case because it feels A LOT more natural. I've always had a dislike for how unnatural porn games tend to be with their relationships because they push the girls either toward, or in the case of the magic three letters that always start an angry mob on this site away from, the MC. While there is something pushing, it isn't just insta-slut hentai logic, there is actually something in the game world affecting them.
I noticed Chinami's lust says "BONK". Not sure when that was added but I am guessing that's just a joke. He said at one point every girl will have lust scenes, and Chinami will be added with an optional patch. Is that still the case or did patreon get the better of this game too?
If he actually did that, I would never support any of his games again. Hear me out. Sana is my favorite character and being "tricked" into liking a male in that way is very insulting (I'd argue traumatizing). I fully support gay/bi/lesbians but trans/futa is something I will never be on board with. Imagine taking a "girl" home from a bar, then finding out she was/is a man. That would be an incredibly traumatic experience for many straight people. Tricking a fanbase like that would not go over well.
I am not concerned though, as we've already seen all characters/nudes in the Patreon discord. There's no penis on any girls in the current game, so I am pretty sure this can't be the case. I mean he could claim she got it cut off, but still, it would still really piss me off and I'd immediately unpledge.
They can't act on something that hasn't happened and Patreon doesn't strike games until after offending content is in and reported. IF she gets something, it will have to be
unofficial so that it isn't traced back to him. That's the way ALL Patreon developers have to do things with those tyrants being so controlling as to even not allow separate versions or even external links. If the game is funded by Patreon, it has to conform even if it is offered elsewhere or they will strike it down.
I, too, cannot in good conscience support someone who bent the knee to Patreon and I would have to terminate my own patronage instantly and without a chance of it being reinstated, but I assure you as an, apparently fellow, patron, Selebus has not and will not seeing as he is developing what he wants and nothing less. As for the Sana part, there's a difference between trans and futa, you know that, right? This is literally the only site I have seen lump those together and it annoys me to no end. I am also pretty sure Sana is a regular girl, not a futa, not trans, and not a trap, but I'm not sure if the gravure sets are a good indicator as they may be considered non-canon and non-canon items can do whatever the developer wants with no regard to anything restricted by canon, changing genders of characters for example.
I am also not concerned, particularly because of Selebus's responses to negative feedback from players in the past, such as negative comments about the bad homie thing, negative comments about requiring audio, and so on. He has always given a 'tough luck' response and has never faltered in his stance on his game.
you forget this is a game that functions on subverting expectations and tricking the fanbase. the images there have no canon way of being introduced into the game unless selebus starts making story lines to include them, they are promotional incentives and we have not had any indication they are anything but that.
why I really want to push this theory though: I would find it hilarious if this caught on and selebus got sick of getting this asked to the point he advances sana's story line just so he can go "THERE YOU DEGENERATES SHE DOESN'T HAVE A PENIS STOP ASKING". I would also find it funny if selebus actually did this but less so.
now something I want to bring up:
anyone think Io and Yumi should become friends and buisness partners... yumi clearly has the connections to sell crap like antique tv's and furniture and IO just has a ton of it but doesn't seem to have a clue on how to market it herself.
The game does subvert expectations, but it has never done so on character appearance. So far, what we see is what we got. I would rather he takes the time he originally intended to 'reveal' her to us, by which I mean her first lust scenes.
I'm not so sure the friends part would work out given Yumi's nature and the business partners part might have the same issue not to mention what her connections actually are. She is a bit difficult to get along with and her connections have a bit of a bad implication, I believe she might have been involved in fencing goods, which means to knowingly buy and resell stolen goods, think the Thieves Guild in Skyrim. My evidence is her lack of a job until player Sensei, or is that old Sensei, helps her and her VERY large supply of TV sets. I'm not so sure Io would be okay with that considering it ccould land her in trouble as an accomplice.
Selebus never said that he would add an optional patch with lust content for Chinami, he said he wouldn't be able to stop someone else from making said patch.
He actually did say he was going to make the patch and he said it on f95, but if selebus has since changed his mind because he doesn't want to deal with it that is understandable
this also implies a noodles and net with a knife nose love route which I am highly anticipatory of
Yeah, no, Selebus can't make the patch on record, it has to be someone
unofficial or Patreon WILL kill the game without warning and without hesitation.
