Well atleast Ima now in the game so i will enjoy first. few questions before start!! Is this game overall more of a cheerful slice-of-life style, or does it lean towards a dark tone filled with depression and sadness? Did the protagonist really travel through time, or is it some kind of... brainwashing or dream? (If it doesn't involve spoilers.) bruh... recently read some romance novels with bad endings, and I really need something to cure me. Especially since LIL updates almost every month or every couple of months. It feels like the creator of this game must either love it deeply or be a full-time developer. Compared to the painfully slow update pace of other similar visual novels, LIL truly a fresh air!
And since I only decide to play the KoiKatsu style novels, not much opinions i guess

The game is oppressively serious and dark. There are many wonderful slice of life moments, but the meat and bones is a dark journey. I don't think saying anything about plot is a good idea given the nature of this VN. Needless to say, years later, we have thousands of posts still trying to parse the story fully up to this point. Give it a shot, see if it clicks, and if not, no worries. For those of us that this game gets its claws into, though, its unlike anything else out there. For those that don't click with it, then its no big deal to move on. Best I can say is this:

Don't go into this like an H game. Go into this expecting a story with sex in it, and any time you're given an option to make a choice, it isn't like a normal H game; its an indictment upon you and H games as whole.

Good luck on your journey! And if its not for you, no worries. If it DOES click though...we'll see you again soon...

everything
If you're truly starting, I recommend you also install both the hints mod and the save mod, though they're optional.
About the game, if you want some healing, this isn't for you. Like, seriously, it really isn't. Or maybe it is? It heavily features sad and uplifting tones, but it also mixes healing and depression with them sometimes. Occassionally all of them at the same time. Again, though, I really wouldn't recommend it if you only want healing like some SoL manga do. But maybe you should? I'd say give it a try and if you can't, then don't force yourself.
Yeah, LiL updates fairly consistently, ten updates, mostly monthly, per year at least. About, the creator, well, let's just say Selebus definitely the game. Period.

Thanks, man! I’ve started playing for a bit now, and I’m really into the overall vibe and writing. No worries—I’m fully committed to diving into it. (Though, I did accidentally stumble across some pretty creepy screenshots while scrolling the thread, but hey, still within my tolerance!) Lately, I’ve been playing a lot of super lighthearted and comedic harem games in this genre, so this feels like a refreshing change of pace.

Also, I gotta say, your response time is insane! On other posts, I’d probably wait like 10 hours for a single reply. Super impressed and grateful for that! I’ll definitely stick around and chat with everyone here.

(By the way, did the creator’s Patreon shut down? Is F95 the only place to interact with he now? I really respect devs who pour their heart into their games.)

Honestly, the type of game I’m looking for right now is exactly one with interesting and thought-provoking story, filled with well-developed, multi-dimensional characters. I’m kind of tired of those shorter games that are mostly just H-content—played way too many of those and started to feel a bit burned out. Even if the story’s core is dark, I hope it gives me a sense of fulfillment and leaves me with no regrets about the experience.

Since I’m usually busy with school and work, I’ll probably only have about 1-2 hours to play in the evenings after getting home. Considering how long this game has been in development and the fact that it updates almost every month, it seems like it’ll keep me occupied for a good while;)

Well, its literally multiple million words long, so its a heck of a read, that's for sure. As for the creator, he got into a beef with this website, so he's gone from here, and the game doesn't show live updates anymore. His Patreon got nuked a long while back for various reasons, so if you want to see the official release, its on Subscribestar. He's a turbo douche, but he is a good writer and very devoted to his work. Here, we separate the art from the artist. Very few here like him as a person, but most, if not all of us, respect his artistry.

oh my, may i ask what he did? The last time I saw a strained relationship between F95 players and a developer was with the creator of Twisted World. He originally spent two years seriously working on the game(and is very good), the content had progressed to version 0.7. But despite protests from most players, they launched a Twisted World remake to rake in easy money on several subscription platforms. A year later, the remake is still stuck at version 0.15, plagued with issues like deceptive updates and negative feedback about the whole reset.

When I downloaded LIL, I skimmed through the first few pages of the post and noticed how actively the creator interacts with players. I thought he’d be really friendly within the fanbase… oops

He used to be chill and helpful. But then things got weird. Money changes people. Hatred of piracy, attempting to get the game taken off the site through nonsense means and going against TOS. Creating DRM to wipe people's saves and generally being a massive dick. Its a long story, but basically it comes down to a massive ego and hatred for those that actually play his game. I wouldn't worry about it, but there's lots of posts about it and folks here who know better than I do.

Basically, however big you think an ego can be, you're wrong; it can be bigger. Ultimately, it seems to have hamstrung his overall growth and monetary potential, but either way, we try to ignore the asshole and embrace the artist ;p

EDIT: Which reminds me: if you plan on doing anything with the "Care Packages," please read about the DRM on them carefully on the first page post. It WILL wipe your saves if you mess up, and it absolutely is NOT worth the content.

That refreshing change of pace is about to hit you as bad as Ezio from AC2 went from a carefree boy to having most of his family killed in the first act of the game. If you can handle that whiplash, you might get hopelessly addicted to the game.

lmao, mere hours into finding the thread and you found some of the biggest drama. The dev got themselves banned from here, the game has been promotion banned so they don't get most of the audience searching the updates queue finding and supporting the subscribestar that Selebus uses because the content of the game got too 'spicy' for Patreon to handle (and it's only gotten 'worse' from there)

If you ever like the game enough to download the care packages, don't install them into the game. The dev's final act to get the game shadowbanned was adding save deleting DRM to the game if it detects pirated care packages. If you like the game enough to go down the rabbit hole, you should merely read the scripts of the downloaded files, then look at the pictures / videos if relevant.

care packages and bonus animations can be full of spoilers, they assume you were fully up to date at their points of release

Thanks, bro! I tried installing the guide and the black style mod, then started waiting for the game to launch god... I think I’ll just reinstall the game instead.

oh shit are they ban for the Loli issue? i thought high school girls are not loli anymore
They never got an outright answer to what got it banned, but Sel gussed it was a scene where the MC may have sexually assaulted a drunk passed out high schooler. And there is definitely a scene people say is worse now.

That said there are a few (5000 year old) 'wizards' in the game and content is planned for them, maybe within a year. There's also a scene where a shota was molested by an adult female.

No, they tried to get the game banned for the Loli issue, but it wasn't a thing. They pissed the mods off by being a dick about the forum rules. It isn't about the content in the game. Its about harassing the forum and being a dick. And the final straw was the DRM erasing peoples saves. You could try using the thread search function to search for "Selebus" and "banned" or other related terms, and there's lots of posts about it. The game's content isn't the issue. The creator is the issue, sadly. Hence my previous comments about separating artist from art.

Ah, I see... Well, no worries, thanks for always answering my questions with such enthusiasm, it really made my gaming experience much better! Even though English isn’t my first language, I’ve really enjoyed interacting with you all. I’m planning to finish my paper and then continue playing. I’ve noticed that after using mtool to launch the game, it’s much faster now—only takes about a minute to start, though it still feels a bit slow.

So, if I just play normally without downloading any extra installation packages, my save files should be safe, right? Also, I’ve seen some people mention that the game requires a lot of saving. Does this game really have overly complex branching paths that require constant saving? Is there a chance that a single wrong choice could lead to an irreversible bad ending?

So there is actually femdom content...but considering that it is an adult woman sexually assaulting a boy, it seems to be far different from what is acceptable to the public...At the current stage of my game, I feel that the MC is pretty good so far.
Did he violate the girl out of his own will? Probably wouldn't be surprised in other related visual novels, but considering this is a high school teacher and some teenage girls...
? ? ? Kinda shock....

A single wrong choice could affect the ending, for sure, but we're years from a final product, so there's no way to know yet for sure. I wouldn't worry about it too much for now.

There is a LOT of non-consensual acts in this game, so definitely be aware of that going forward. As for who is in control of whom when such acts occur, that is still up for debate. But I don't want to spoil anything else.

well......do you think the main character of this game is more of a person with kind and correct values, or someone whose thoughts are heavily influenced by desire? What is their sense of morality like? I hope MC won’t ignore the player’s choices and hurt other female characters (hopefully)

I was a bit shocked earlier, but I think it’s time to explore it seriously. So, DRM is not something that necessarily has to be downloaded and used, right? Do those extra contents affect the main storyline of the game in any way?
