Um. Hard to answer without getting very spoiler-y, but…
No. MC is not a nice person. Part of the power of the game is him and us looking at that and exploring why.
Where you are (the very beginning), he treats the other characters as if he’s the protagonist in a run-of-the-mill collect-them-all school harem game. Rack up those affection points. Seduce them and move on. Yeehaw.
Then he starts to realize that they are people. And that there’s something very weird happening.

She eventually reveals herself to be… quite a lot more. But enjoy the unfiltered kawaii while you can!

I struggle to write a thousand words a day. At that rate, without a break (to, say, visit Japan or take a weekend off) or needing to delete anything because I’d written myself into a dead end, it would take eight years+ to reach 3G words.
ETA: Which, in fairness, Sel has done in about half that time. Good for him!

I agree in the sense of how Akira perceives it. But it was really hard for me, the reader, to not interpret it as a simple bribe done in order to get her letter/gift/whatever that was to Niki. Thus, it would make Otoha the opposite of what you're saying, she'd simply be manipulating Akira to try to get to Niki, again. Maybe even including him in a threesome idea, since she can't get Niki by herself.
I think it would suit the story for Otoha to become close friends with Akira given that she has burned all bridges and only Nodoka remains as a friend to her. I just don't know that we are there yet in terms of genuine feelings, I hope so though. Just withholding judgement for now.

I’ve never hated Otoha, unlike many here. But I think you’re right.
It’s interesting that some of Akira’s healthiest interactions lately are with gold-star lesbians — Otoha and Osako. I think it’s liberating for him to interact with someone he knows there isn’t a chance of him bedding.
I think he had this relationship with good-homie Rin, early on. I miss the sorta wholesomeness of their early interactions.
Also, we’re probably going to hit 50k posts on this thread in the next few days. Go us.

Well, playthrough 3 has officially started. Addiction is real, I guess. Gonna go slow and just play new updates as they come out on other saves, to keep current with folks here, this time.

To be fair, it's so clever that it's almost hard to believe anyone coming up with it naturally, maybe.
Anyway, just had a random intuition. I bet Selebus is at least 60% so dead-set on having a vocal song commissioned for each heroine in their purity route because Monika was the one who sung DDLC's ending theme, 'Your Reality.' As a seasoned visual novel veteran I've heretofore avoided drawing too many comparisons between DDLC and LiL to avoid what no doubt must be an extremely tiring cliche, but I'm suddenly realizing Selebus is a pretty serious fan of DDLC to a degree belied by his 8/10 rating for it on VNDB. Might be worth exploring a bit more than I have.

yea....it's insane that the second day after waking up, MC instantly decided to become a Loli breeder without any hesitation. Normally, most people play this type of game with a similar goal in mind, but for some reason, Sensei gives me a negative vibe.
