Is this a horror game? l saw a lot of people talking about this one a long ago but just now a finally have the time (and the courage) to play, l just think my mind is not ready for another Doki Doki... *Sigh*
At first yeah, I was like "Look, a scuffed DDLC"Is this a horror game? l saw a lot of people talking about this one a long ago but just now a finally have the time (and the courage) to play, l just think my mind is not ready for another Doki Doki... *Sigh*
It is a denpa, yes. It also contains disturbing scenes, at least one of those the actually made me feel extremely uneasy and shocked. Is this a horror game? l saw a lot of people talking about this one a long ago but just now a finally have the time (and the courage) to play, l just think my mind is not ready for another Doki Doki... *Sigh*
Makoto was ahead of her time. Too ahead.I knew Makoto was reset after bluejay, but I didn't think she had been reset that far back. Damn.
I only just updated my game for the first time in awhile....are older saves compatible with the newer game?
My current game version is 0.14.0 and I am upgrading to the latest?
Dont think there's any problem with skipping a few version so far. Result may varies but what's life without some excitement of a failed safe file. Right?![]()
The only issue you may have is a buildup of events as they will accumulate over time and make catching up take longer. This is why I limit version skipping to part 1 of the version after my current one, so I only have as many more events to do as both part 1 and part 2 of the next version combined added.Saves all the way back from the first release are compatible. 0.15.0 part 2 is currently (as of me posting this) the latest version, but I believe 0.16.0 part 1 is expected to be released tomorrow for patrons. The update-only file is if you already have 0.15.0 part 1. You'll have to download the full game (yeah, the massive 3.87 GB file) but it will work with your current saves.
So, there was, a few pages back, a lot of talk about worry regarding Ami, Ayani, and Noriko, because of their crazy. However, I'm more worried about Otoha. Why you may ask? Every girl in this game is crazy or broken in some way, or has trauma and we've seen it. Otoha is too 'normal'.
Now, I'm not worried about her doing something terrible to Sensei, or anything like that, but something lurks within her that will surface eventually, I'm sure of it. I've got my eye on you Otoha! And not just because you're ridiculously pretty!
Otoha has only just begun her journey in the game, though she has been in the background for awhile. We don't yet know if her issue is even in the same category or on the same magnitude as Ami, Ayane, or Noriko...well, we at least know she's not Noriko level, there can't be that many characters in this game on THAT level of crazy, Noriko literally belongs in an asylum at this point, she's just extremely good at hiding the full extent of her issues until she's alone with player Sensei. Because of that, Otoha does not yet pose any kind of threat, but all three of the others do, or did in the past for Ayane. Strict parenting can bring A LOT of stress and I have reason to believe that will be the cause of her issue and that her issue is that she is beginning to crack under the pressure.Yes, there was a lot of talk about Otoha's "normality" in comparison to the other girls. Obviously she just got formally introduced as a main girl so it'll be a while before we see her next events. Her backstory seems to insinuate that she's just has strict, but normal parents. Whatever Sel has in store for us will be great I'm sure.
Not much is known about the resets, but it seems to be implied that a short amount of time is rewound as are any issues gained in that time frame. I don't think it rewound to before virginities were lost in any case so far.Hold a sec...she does!
I didnt think much about that statement at the time but now...
Uh wait?
So...back to pure makoto????
How does reset work anyway? Did that re-virgin her or its just a memory thing?
Does anyone remember why Rin got flustered when Sensei mentioned about Pizza in front of Otoha? I feel like I'm forgetting something really important >_<
Beat me to it, that is hands down her best event so far and I replay it any time I open the game, even if I just opened to review something to help someone on here or refresh my memory about a discussed topic, even if I just want to listen to one of the tracks again, which I don't even have to open the game for if I remember its file name.IIRC that's the scene they kiss? Try to relive that event perhaps?
Yes, more specifically a subgenre called Denpa. Think of Doki Doki Literature Club or Higurashi. Is this a horror game? l saw a lot of people talking about this one a long ago but just now a finally have the time (and the courage) to play, l just think my mind is not ready for another Doki Doki... *Sigh*
Or it could, we'll never know until it is done.It is a denpa, yes. It also contains disturbing scenes, at least one of those the actually made me feel extremely uneasy and shocked.
It's also extremely well written and the majority of the current content is light-hearted and very funny. So at the current state, it's 90% happiness and 10% sadness, so I'd say definitely give it a try, it's fucking brilliant.
Beware though, this will go down in the future. The extent is not known, nor the planned ending but we do know that it (probably) won't end as dark as DDLC.
It can be avoided in decisions, right? l hate those games where the player can't do nothing about the MC (The one he is SUPPOSED to control). Now that I know this game scares even the weird perverts here, I'm really amazedIt is a denpa, yes. It'll probably get worse before it gets better. I'm pretty sure Selebus will complete the downright depressing and purely psycho endings first, before creating the more positive endings. But yeah, I think eventually we'll have the upbeat endings – teh "purity routes," I assumeIt can be avoided in decisions, right? l hate those games where the player can't do nothing about the MC (The one he is SUPPOSED to control). Then I recommend the lighthearted game called School / Summer Days for you!!!It can be avoided in decisions, right? l hate those games where the player can't do nothing about the MC (The one he is SUPPOSED to control). Now that I know this game scares even the weird perverts here, I'm really amazed
This game has moments where not even the MC is in control, so moments where the player lacks control exist as well since it would not make sense for the MC to not have control while the player, who is essentially the MC in game, does. The ability to avoid the Denpa elements does not exist as the Denpa elements ARE the main story. Skipping the Denpa elements would be skipping the main story, leaving only side content that would be completely without context, which really screws things up from a writing standpoint. It can be avoided in decisions, right? l hate those games where the player can't do nothing about the MC (The one he is SUPPOSED to control). Fair point, only Sel knows what the ending actually will be like. But I was more referencing to the broader roadmap and the individual purity routes + true ending that at least implies it will not totally end in tragedy. It would not make too much sense otherwise. What that true ending looks like is shrouded in mystery ofc, but it still implies a deviation from DDLC by quite a bit.Or it could, we'll never know until it is done.
Some things can be avoided, but the broader downfall and descend in sadness cannot be avoided (as of what we know so far, ofc).It can be avoided in decisions, right? l hate those games where the player can't do nothing about the MC (The one he is SUPPOSED to control). I don't think Fubata likes that idea...The girl's profile page in the game tell you their height, but why it don't tell you their weight? Just curious, nothing more, nothing less.
When you're having a Selebus moment.
Oh boy was that one...fun.
I'm not even sure Selebus knows that far ahead. At least if I were planning, I would only have it planned up to the ending I'm shooting for in the current state of development, but like I said, that's me.Fair point, only Sel knows what the ending actually will be like. To describe it a tad better, the player is not the only one in control here and some things you cannot alter at all, you literally have no choice.
But trust me, it is so fucking worth it. This game is so good for many reasons but the one that sets it completely aside from all the rest here is that it doesn't picture a bright shallow world to serve as fap material only. It pictures a deepness and complexity to the characters and their issues that are hardly found in VN/books, let alone "porn" games (forgive me Sel ^^).
It is as real as it gets, with a lot of joy and happiness, but also underlying issues and problems that you oftentimes cannot see immediately but we all struggle with regardless. And this mirror of very actual struggles is what makes the game, above everything else, believable.
God I hate VN and especially porn games here where characters act like completely braindead plot devices and nothing else. I stopped playing quite a lot because the writing and the character depth was atrocious that I could not bear reading any of that longer, despite the erotic parts.
LiL is the complete opposite, while it does contain a lot of erotic scenes that would qualify as fap material, I couldn't care less because I stuck around for the story and the characters and the writing that emotionally touches me which happens very rarely imo. And looking at the otherdegeneratesfine people here I am not alone with that assessment.
I bet she wouldn't, most girls her age wouldn't considering this is high school we're talking about, when weight is a major concern for girls and could result in a lot of emotional episodes.I don't think Fubata likes that idea...
When you're having a Selebus moment.
I'm not sure if anything physical changes; but her memory being reset back to before the beach could possibly be a bad thing, if she doesn't remember the Halloween party.Hold a sec...she does!

Ami, Ayane, and Noriko seem severe, because they're constantly letting it show, however, I would say most of the girls in the game have things *as* severe. Miku just *shuts down screaming* at loud noises, Makoto tried to kill herself, Molly has a case of chuunibyuo to rival Rikka, on top of her lonliness/why can't the one I like see me thing, Rin.... I don't think I need to say anything for, Yumi is crushed beneath the weight of who her parents were, and thinks she's incapable of joining society, Maya is outwardly holding up super well, but you know that the weight of being the only one who remembers everything is crushing her, Tsuneyo is simply oblivious to the world to the point of her being super easily manipulated, Futaba struggles with eating disorders due to hating her body, Io so far is probably one of the milder cases, but still suffers from severe introversion, Kirin is incredibly self-destructive and potentially sociopathic, Nodoka I'm gonna go with bouts of extreme obsessiveness given the one scene where she is driven mad by not being able to figure out her literary conundrum, plus super bad insomnia, Sana is dealing with the trauma of losing her brother, and with being the shyest girl to ever shy on top of having to worry about homelessness looming and her mom going crazy from stress, Uta.... I should actually probably be worried about too. She's got her odd quirks, sure, but she hasn't really shown us what her issues are yet. Chika is dealing with abandonment issues, having to be a single parent to her little sister, and dealing with a little sister who could die if she so much as goes outside, the two girls being added in 16 to the class we've barely even seen in comparison to those above, and I have a better handle on what they're bringing to the table than Otoha and Uta.Otoha has only just begun her journey in the game, though she has been in the background for awhile. Well, that could be true actually, event as an adult, most girl will be mad if we ask their weight.I don't think Fubata likes that idea...
And once again I'm wondering if you are just trying to respond to as many posts as possible, no matter if you have anything useful to add.Their affection only goes up one point per event, so the second event would leave them at 2. The only thing in the game that raises any stat by more than one is inviting a girl over and doing the corresponding action for the stat you want to raise. Not every girl has the invite over option yet, even some of the original cast is unfinished in that regard.I'm disappointed that Nodokas affection is 2 after the second event and not 5. (And 15 after the third.)
You know who i think the yasu girl is? Its the girl holding umbrella while talking to sana. Could be wrong but she's definitely an option. That Yasu girl, she is so misterious, her document contain only blank page and [redacted], but i hope she could getting along well with Maya in the future updateor maybe they will attack each other
