Personally, I really did like Prime Maya, at least once you started to understand her.
While I think Akira's hatred, and almost fear, of new Maya might be a bit exaggerated, I also feel like she has become a little empty and it bugs me that she seems so blissfully unaware of everything, compared to the others.
So, at the risk of making enemies in this thread: Noriko > Maya ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I wish i had the free time to play through visual novels for 0 pay off. But yeah having a goal beyond hand holding is what keeps me moving. If i dont see a goal then im just listening to young girls talk for no reason for no pay off. And frankly i find that FAR weirder than listening for an eventual pay off thats worth it.

This information might rock your world, but Selebus, the developer, confirmed there will be lewd scenes with every 35 characters. So sooner or later there will be a reward for everyone.
Also, if you are mostly just in it for the sex scenes, you kind of chose the wrong game. Not that they are bad or extremely rare, I just find that this game is one of the very, very few on this site, which story is actually more entertaining than the lewd action. Which, again, are well done too.
So, paradoxically, anyone skipping the lore and focusing on the fucky-fucky is considered the weird one, at least on this

I'm not judging. It's just shocking to see a perspective so far removed from that of our particular bubble on this thread. For most of us that are active here, LiL is about the story, sometimes there are sex scenes sure, but often they aren't the sort of thing one would like to watch in the first place.
As for having free time, it might be in your interest to stop playing LiL then. It's not the kind of game where you'll tolerate mediocre teenage girl talk until you get to see them having sex. It's rather the sort of story where you'll rewatch the layered dialogue for the 3rd time either trying to decipher things you couldn't before, or to notice the cruel irony that was hidden in the background.

It's rather that Niki didn't want to have sex, if I remember correctly. She was happy Akira didn't rush her and settled for her blowing him (she didn't know that was because he already had Sekai though).

Seriously though, it'd be interesting if this was a reference to what Nodoka said about it being ridiculous that Yasu considers two universes when they're infinite.
Maybe Yasu's sad because she's summoned to meet god and finds out that there are 99 of them, and HOPE ain't even one?

See thats where you miss me. It IS about the story. And its an amazing story discounting the odd amount of selebus stroking it to his own name in game.
The joy is getting to actually know the girls in depth first and the story is part of that. But the reward to me at least is just as important as the journey.
Im the kind of person who can love a book and enjoy it but then maybe its going in a way i dont like or i learn somehow that the ending is horrible like the main character shitting themselves while getting cucked by old pervert.
Sure there is value in the journey but if you know that journey ends with you falling off a cliff into a chasm of shit and used dildos would you be as willing to make the journey?
I know im not. And somehow making friends with teen girls for no reason other than fake friendship and no ulterior motive appeals to me about as much as the chasm of dildos.
In essence it would be a waste of my time to do something for no reward i care about. The story is a reward sure. A decent one. But getting closer to girls i know i can unlock things for with excellent character building and development and seeing them react and respond to my choices is a FAR greater joy to me.
Of course thats no different than the people who drop hundreds on gacha waifus just to poke them and make them squeal on phones but i dont claim to be above that either.
I wouldnt do all these damn head patting minigames if i was. Even the birds.
The story is part of the lewd. At least to me it is. Skipping it would be pointless. You might as well watch porn. The story is the connection and investment in the girls. Seeing girls you have zero attachment to be throw at tentacle monsters gets boring.
What doesnt is building unique and interesting connections with girls you come to care about with trackable rewards of a sexual variety.
And as someone coming up to the tail end of chapter 2. The lore is....sparse. Nor does it feel like the point to me. If anything it feels intentionally sparse. But hey what do i know? I might care more about having fun and being happy with the girls but if esoteric code breaking of likely nonsensical and possibly egotistic lore is what gets you off best of fun to you!

If that's your perspective then it makes even less sense for you to play a game that's barely at its midway point. You can't know if it will be worth your time because it isn't finished, nor can you properly evaluate its worth (if you're interested in the story) if you keep skipping the story.
You said you skipped dialogue for characters that hadn't sexual scenes accounted for in the menu (from what I understood), because these questlines wouldn't net you any "reward worth your time". But the game isn't finished, nor is every sexual interaction dependent on lust points or shows up as a lust scene.
Furthermore, characters that don't have lust scenes now will have them in the future, will you then replay everything because then the character will be worth your time? lol or worse, upon skipping through sexual encounters with characters that weren't flagged as lust scenes will you replay it inside the current build?
Lastly, if you are interested in say, Ayane's story (that has loads of lust scenes), but then just skip through all of Sana's dialogue because she has none or close to none, Ayane's story will make less sense cause, well, all of these stories are interwoven. Especially in main events, but honestly through all events.
Skipping everything cause one just wants to see porn is something I can definitely understand. Not the game for it, but I understand. What you just described doesn't make much sense to me, but it's not like you have to justify yourself either, I'm just responding since you went to the trouble of explaining.
I'd choose Bingoogus over any girl in this game.

After finally catching up with the releases and not yet catching up with the thread, I've missed you guys, I kinda stumbled upon an interesting thought. Every chapter can be summarized with an emotion which culminates at the end of it.

on that topic, I'd be interested in hearing some of the events you guys have re-read and got a different perspective on and/or conclusion on since I'm currently replaying everything from the start
for me: a lot of the early Tsuneyo events had hints and info for Wires that I somehow just forgot about or my brain just didn't pick up on the first time, probably thinking HOPE was the only god?

Ah maybe ive misframed how I treat it.
I find things "Worth the reward" to be lots of things other than sex. Comedy being one of them.
However. For girls that i have simply no interest in to begin with. Or that seem to just be Saying things that go nowhere and dont entertain me.
Yeah no reward means ill either skip OR skim.
Sana is a good case. I like her character so im willing to go through it for the little scenes i DO enjoy to feel more meaningful.
spending time with a character you like already is a reward in itself.
However. If you are asking me how much i care about spending time with otoha? A girl i have zero intrest in and frankly find boring and is currently just a foil for rin? Yeah pass. I skipped almost everything or skimmed it and i feel zero loss.
If anything I feel better about being as detached as sensei is in my game currently about it.
Im also a little offended at being represented as if im just skipping through for he porn. I would just watch porn then.
I skip through characters I dont like when i think they have nothing interesting to me to say when they have no rewards.
Osako is another example. I find her ok. But I might see sesbian lex so i always at minimum am a little interested in her development. Even if its for base reasons. Its enough for me to keep reading.
I try to only skim for events though when I come across a character like that.
Summary
orn isnt the only reward. Spending time with a character you like can be as well. I always read enough to understand the story. Just maybe not with as much care or emotional impact to anyone i dont like. Porn helps though.
