Well, from the preview pictures of earlier versions we were also convinced that Chinami was gonna die but it all ended fairly well.
Sel likes to throw in some red herrings or try to misguide with his previews, he deliberately chooses them after all.

That beings said, the previews still make me look forward to this Christmas event more so than any other of its variants before, idk, it seems eventful.
Also I'm kinda starving for new content tbh. Gonna have to hop back to my replay.

Now that I think about it, wasn’t Kirin pissed at Akira the last time we saw her (at the Beach)? She straight up walked away when he ran into her and Noriko.

Clearly she isn’t that mad anymore, though.

Looks like either the reset has affected her behavior somehow or she got over it on her own. Guess we’ll see which is which.
Based purely on the fact that Selly seems to post previews as he makes the scenes containing them, my guess is Kirin was the girl he was 'sneaking' away with that got Chika giving the yandere stare...
It haaaas to be, man…

We’ve already seen how Chika reacted to Kirin flirting with him:

I can only imagine how she’d react to her ‘boyfriend’ straight up making out with another girl. Especially one she already dislikes.

As someone spearheading that discussion it was actually the other way around. After a long season of no reset, the season itself not working like all the other resets we've witnessed so far, a long drawn out sensei depression, Chika going fucking crazy after just being freshly 'betrayed' by Yumi, hints of a reset coming at halloween, no one to take Maya's spot to control the reset, Sel hinting at something controversial happeng in that update which was planned since chapter 1 and Chinami's death being something hinted at from chapter 1, there were a lot of big dangerous ways the reset could have happened and her death / wounding was starting to become a major catalyst for what triggers this reset.

But then we got a picture of Chinami hugging Sensei, I believe a preview with Chinami, Yumi and Chika in the same shot, and then a sweaty Chinami in bed. Those were 3 different scenarios to match her 3 events. There wasn't any room left for her to get hurt / sick enough to be dead a few events later in the next update.

We get the actual update and Miku gets penetrated with a big ol dick, and she bleeds and cries and the sex stops. Considering a few updates before that we had a CSA victim force Akira to rape her, and doesn't enjoy it so badly that Akira breaks down twice from how much her trauma doesn't fit into his trauma, Miku not preparing for sex was kinda tepid.

Another quick note on the topic of '"Does Ami know more than she alludes to since the beginning?", here's an excerpt from the Chapter 1 Maya event Rewind/Repeat/Refuse.
Foe context: Akira enters Ami's and Maya's dorm room, they sit together and Ami invites him to join but Maya obviously is against it. Ultimately Ami forces them to spend time together by leaving to go take a shower so Akira and Maya talk about why she avoids him and that Akira will keep pursuing to be friends with her.
This is basically how this conversation ends:

Now I think this would be one of the examples that would support Moonflare's theory quite nicely. Assuming Ami is all-knowing to some extent, she might have planned to force those two together so that Akira gets annoyed and stops wanting to spend time with Maya and focus on Ami more.
Except, at the end of the day, as well all know, this does not work. It actually backfires. Maya's resolve seems to crumble, she even seems to realize that this Akira is different than the majority she had to deal with in past cycles. It becomes really obvious here:

In true Prime Maya fashion, she makes it sounds like it's pathetic and dumb of him to do that, yet I am certain that deep inside, she is stoked to find out that this iteration of Akira is not blindly pursuing the first girl that shows him affection (like Ami or Karin from other cycles) but that he is actively trying to befriend the objectively most uninterested and least convenient option out of all of them - her.
The player does not know this at this time, of course. But Ami would know, right? She mentions that Maya is acting weirdly and that Akira is trying to get to know her but that Maya somehow is not interested. Wouldn't an all-knowing Ami be on Maya's side instead of Akira's? What would be her goal in all of this, when her own behavior favors the two of them getting closer together?

I will die on this hill, I believe we are all ultimately victims of confirmation bias and will interpret past interactions to what fits our own views. To me it is not clear whatsoever that Ami has any form of prior knowledge of her own (by that I exclude any God and Sekai involvement). She really does act like a horny teenage girl that is really into her uncle and wants what's best for her friends. At least at the beginning of the game.

Edit:
Bonus Yumi scene, because we all love her.

Sel posted another preview but then quickly deleted it. And by the looks of it nobody seemed to catch it.
Oh! I have a solution! There's this app similar to BetterDiscord called Vencord, I'm using it and one of the plugins there is MessageLogger, no matter what, if a message gets deleted, you'll be able to see it, so long as it isn't too old to get auto-deleted to save up space and you have discord open. There's two versions of Vencord, Browser extension and installer for application discord, you'll have to go to settings afterwards and then plugin and search for MessageLogger.

Hope this helps (and gets a me more leeks :D )

Also something off topic, either Disney is stupid or smart releasing Mufasa same day as Sonic 3, because people would drive down for sonic but afterwards could watch Mufasa, or they tried to get a bigger audience than Sonic 3.

Since we have to wait another month for the new version, I decided to watch an old anime (damn, a 2012 anime can be considered old). To be honest, I don't usually watch anime, but I finished watching "Love, Chuunibyou & Other Delusions" in two days. I watched both seasons, all the specials (except for the Christmas one) and the first movie. Now, I have to watch the second movie and read the light novel.
Damn, Rikka is the cutest and most silly girl I've ever seen, lmao. I always liked chuunibyou characters, but if I had watched it years ago, I would have cringed a lot, but now I accept my cringy self and just enjoy it.

Again with the devil's advocate, Ami knowing stuff and Ami managing to pull things off aren't exactly the same thing. We're talking about the girl that spent thousands of years getting cucked by everyone else with the help of her mother, because Akira wasn't a sad boy after Sekai marrying him.
"Love, Chuunibyou & Other Delusions" in two days.
I only watched it once but when I did, I did it in the same fashion - all at once. It is a great romance/coming of age anime!

I am very angry at this picture. I never got over Kirin's blackmail/sexual assault arc and I don't see her sacrificing herself to let Akira know that Ami's a psychopath any time soon. Well, at least he tends to be aggressive with her and put her down during sex.

Also, I wonder if Maya will recognize the scarf. It would be interesting, but also a very long shot in the dark if by taking the scarf back, Maya Prime managed to download herself back into New Maya's avatar. Finally, I wonder who Chika saw, I guess it would have to be Kirin, since seeing Niki is probably going to be the culmination of her insane arc. Selebus has to farm this some more.
