So I've just reached There is Nothing, and when it started telling me why not become a god, I started hearing a bird tweeting. I thought it might have been some sort of clue so I doublechecked the script and didn't find anything. I took off my headphones and could still hear the bird and I just about shat myself.

That bird almost isekaied me into the game.

I knew like 5 girls that'd flirt with Teachers, Drug Dealers, and Police, to get what they wanted, growing up. They'd also typically have boyfriends on top of that.
They are not normal then. lmao. The fact you know a lot of them doesn't mean it is normal.

Edit 2: Actually Yumi is kind of fairy tale-ish as well. Even ignoring the Yakuza Princess stuff, the fact she's actually not given in to prostitution or drugs, is admirable as fuck. Basically every Yumi (male and female) I've known has, well, made Yuki look good.
Again, I don't know in what kind of ghetto you live, but it is not normal, lmao. You're just projecting your experience.

Sana, Sara, Makoto, Maki, Yumi, Yuki... The list of mothers with similar names keeps on growing.
Then remember the fact that each character's first and last name starts with the same letter.

Just realized but there are some similarities to Chika and Rin's hairstyles. Probably not a coincidence.
Not a coincidence.

Nothing exciting to be reported down here today. Or I can't be bothered. Honestly, I might scrap this section, or make it more generic.
Noooo, keep doing that. It's curious to me and others to see how your opinion about girls changes every day.

I know for sure, one was pregnant (I mean, the belly was an obvious give away). Can't tell you if the Teacher was the daddy, though.

I'm also not the social type even if people tended to group up around me. That's just from casual observation. (Albeit, I did tend to be around the "bad kids" and boy would the girls in LiL be different if Men and Drugs weren't so suspiciously absent in this game for the most part.)

Anyway, I definitely don't see Kirin as anything special in any way, shape, or form.

I'd think most girls in her position would do similar. She really just wants attention, and it's not like Sensei was a random person. She already had a good idea that he was a pervert (and one at an all girls school), and Ayane was someone she's had a petty grudge, and a crush on, for likely years, then the opportunity presented itself. If that opportunity never did, then they're still friends.

Hence why optionally, Kirin and Ayane are still friends. At least, until next update, lmao.
People who think teenagers aren't capable of the most vile things have simply forgotten their younger years or were oblivious to their surroundings.

In my eyes the only difference between a teenager and an adult is the fact that you still haven't got the time to realize that the bad things you're doing are bad, hence you should be forgiven for most of your actions.

Teenagers are just as, if not more evil than adults in my opinion, and most of them are more mentally conscious and aware of what they're doing than we give them credit for. I speak for personal experience that growing up usually mellows you down as you become more understanding.

Kirin is in fact, a quite common type of girl - teenage girls are one of the most vile types of people there can be, SPECIALLY if they find a supporting group where they form gangs and make the lives of other girls miserable. Our Kirin simply didn't happen to find more like-minded girls, otherwise she would've been part of a bully gang. Despite this, I believe that she's not necessarily a bad person, she simply didn't have the time to understand what she's doing. Some people do bad things and at some point in their lives it hits them that it's wrong and grow up, those who are genuinely evil will remain so if they havent changed by the time they're 25-30ish.

These two girls for example, showcase the bully persona but different reasons for doing it;

Exhibit A. Yumi - She has always had a good heart, despite seemingly "enjoying" bullying Futaba. I see it more as a defense mechanism

Exhibit B. Kirin - Honestly I lean towards the fact that she is just an evil person by heart, but we don't know (it's Selebus choice) but she should be given a chance. There are glimpses of her genuinely caring for other people and she's just an immature brat (who needs correction)

Not "projecting", I'm speaking from experience. You're the one projecting.

Also, I'm talking about girls from this game and the most realistic of them from my point of view, so of course I'd be referring to real girls I've known as examples. I'm not saying every girl is like this or that it's "normal", I'm not arrogant enough to claim what is normal like it's some kind of undisputed fact.

I also wouldn't really call 5 girls, a lot, tbh. Those just came to mind since I know they're still around, and at least one is trying to turn her life around for her kid.

If you've had experience with girls like Yumi who were born from rape, raised around drugs and violence, ran away from home, robbed people and stores, and still managed to not sell herself or give in to drugs at any point in her life, then holy shit, good for them. Otherwise, you're definitely just being optimistic here.

I mean, you do realize that Yumi and Chika (And Tsuneyo), live(d) in a "ghetto" right? It's called The Old District and it's literally made the likes of Touka cry after just finding out it exists:

I don't want to start a huge argument or something. And I don't want to read your non-theories stuff.
But let me say, whatever you just said is still projecting, no matter what you're calling it. Also I dunno where I am projecting stuff, but if you want to call me privileged or lucky, then go ahead, it sounds good.

They are, though weird spoiler Makoto does not have invite over sex to this day.
DUDE! That's a horrible spoiler warning! 0 effort what so ever.

I don't know how you managed it but you got the Halloween event before the beach? That's weird. There's a bunch of discussions that I feel happen in response to what happens at the beach, like Yumi being a bitch at the beach, getting told off by Rin, and then still thinking over it at Halloween where she was more subdued. Makoto getting fingered at the beach and fucked at Halloween (I'm assuming here, maybe the game does handle it nicely). Then again you're on autovn so that author thought it made more sense or something? Still seems weird.
Not even this is spoilered correctly. I haven't even done the halloween thing yet and didn't need that info. I'm extremely fucking disappointed by you if anything. I have literally told you where I am in progression and STILL you end up spoilering something that happens in the future

I'm sorry, I misinterpreted the hell out of this line, at least I think at this point. I thought I saw more halloween spoilers first.
Oh my god, that's fucking gold! The one whose least dressed turns out to be Maya!
[edit] Yeah, that line, then the line about "now I see the beach episode" after it

And then built upon that misinterpretation.

As for the lazy spoiler warning it wasn't really a warning. It was just going to be a factual statement about something that you had experienced at that point. Like you've seen Ayane have sex at this point, but what if she didn't have invite over sex despite being one of the first girls to have sex in the game.

Oh I didn't mean scrap the tierlist, I meant scrap the attempted description. Sure, people might have to guess what I think about the characters but I pretty much insert that stuff in the reaction spoiler above.

I’m going to suggest a different interpretation of teen “badness.” I don’t think they’re unconscious of good and evil. Most people understand that pretty early on.

I think the difference for teens is that they haven’t yet experienced real consequences (as opposed to rewards and punishments from parents and teachers). Some (Makoto, Futaba, Sana, etc.) think a bolt of lightning will come out of the sky and hit them if they ever do anything wrong. Some (Otoha, Kirin, sorta Yumi, etc.) think that they can do whatever they want and never have to pay the price.

They eventually learn, as most of us do, that when you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes. FAFO.

I think Sensei starts this game like a particularly sociopathic teen. He doesn’t think anything is real, so he doesn’t think about how the choices he makes are going to affect himself or others.

At this point, he’s completely paralyzed, because the consequences in this world can be so horrific—and seemingly random.

True. And they're what I'd call evil. I don't think any of the girls fall into that category, just age-wise.

Ghost Sekai, though? Not yet sure about Tsubasa. Akira, as I said, seems at least to be trying to err on the side of doing the right thing. When he is capable of doing anything at all. He's an awful person. But hey, he's trying.

(This actually ties in with a current US news story for me--but I'm going to be a good boy and not go down that rabbit hole.)

So it remains a big mystery to this day:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Who was the little girl with not pink hair that hung around Akira's house in the old district? (at the time that Sekai was still alive) - I mean, it can only be Maya, right? But he only met Maya after Sekai died, so which Maya was it? Maybe it was the Maya that was conjured up to change the timeline? Narrator Maya or something?

The other possibility, obviously, is that it was a different Noriko. Meaning that the current Niki and Noriko are fakes, including the pink hair, and that there were other Niki and Noriko in the original timeline. Don't know about that though, because Niki existed with pink hair in the Sekai gets married with Akira timeline... and she had pink hair then.

Could it be one of the Arakawa possible bastards? Sana, Nodoka, Rin? But why would they be in Akira's family home in the first place? Rin would be in an orphanage, so not her. Hard to imagine Sana being there by herself even if Nozomu brought her... Why wouldn't Shota be there too? Maybe Nodoka?
Edit: unrelated, but if this isn't such a huge slap in the face for Niki on their first meeting:

Makoto's picture really is the gift that keeps on giving :ROFLMAO: Yeah, I don't like Niki, she's too overbearing for me. As a character she's fine, I mean for me personally.
