I used to prefer using the term Sensei, but then I saw Selebus using the name 'Akira' instead of 'Sensei' when posting here. Since he did so while in a position of presumable safety and comfort, I imagine that in his mind he uses 'Akira' too, and that would make it the more 'canonical' name, or maybe there is some other purpose there, but either way due to that I slant towards Akira as well. It may be that the name 'sensei' is associated with evading responsibility (like: "It wasn't me, it was [generic protagonist title]") and so he used Akira here to reject that disassociation and lay blame flatly at his feet.

Gonna throw in my two cents cause I like participating in this thread, I usually call him Sensei if I'm not using a spoiler tag or the blurry thingy and call him Akira only in the spoiler drop down and blurry thingy. (Also yes I know it's called Inline spoiler before someone jumps on my back about it, I'm home on a porn game forum wanna be a bit childish ) The reason is simply that's just how my brain works and I expect no one else to follow or do that unless you're talking about recently released stuff then I wish your pillow is warm and soggy on both sides. I grew up subconsciously covering or tagging spoilers cause while I don't really mind them (Unless it's something media shattering or a giant twist, like someone else earlier wrote it makes me look forward on how said spoiler came to be) but I have two best friends I love to death but would get pissy at the smallest spoilers (They are a lot better now compared to a decade ago) So when I knew I was ahead of them I had to in my head edit anything I said or wrote in real time to avoid it (My go to was I give you 2 weeks for something we are all watching/ready/playing ((Again a decade ago when we were younger and had more free time)) before I starting spoiling small stuff)
Another thing I did while playing this game that had the secondary effect of keeping me spoiler free and made me not say or post anything (Unless it was a question I needed to answer, and even then I would only read what was responded to me and the question was usually not story related) was that I would have the Wiki open, see when each patch would end as I played, then come here and search 0.XX, find the post that had the update and then from there read what everyone said until I got to the part where everyone would get excited and start theorizing and then stop when the "It's releasing tomorrow" posts would appear, leave the forum there, play the patch, then repeat till I caught up. Think it was a good system. It also made me start to realize how complex and deep the story is and how much I had missed.

And i was like "Yeah, i just don't self insert, so i adress characters by their name".

I think you are misjudging the situation here. Just ignore how snappy the comment you replied to looks as I didn't mean it that way. I'm not the best at conveying my thoughts through writing or whatever that was. I do get defensive but you didn't trigger that right then. The Akira situation did however. I'm not a positive person and this is me being somewhat reasonable. I'm holding myself back a little because I like it here.
To me, it's now about self inserting or whether he deserves a name or not. It's about context, what fits the most and maintaining the illusion of a major spoiler, which I would argue that is. Makes sense in my head. I'm a logical thinker

If you like it here then i suggest you work on dealing with your issues than just holding yourself back, you've rubbed a hell of a lot of people the wrong way with your spat and it's going to take effort to repair your public image from this point. We can be forgiving but acting antagonistically or even just being perceived as such is a sure way to cement yourself as a thread nuisance in the eyes of just about everyone who participates in this thread on a regular basis.

Aight, this might be my first and last post to you, not out of malice but you're more like a visitor to me, and you replied to my post.
First: How is that characters name a "major spoiler"? He could be named "Biggus Diggus" and it would change (afaik, and i might be wrong, but doubt it) absolutely nothing. It's not like Akira is the keyword to "solve the game", if it actually can be solved one day.
Second/Last: As a pragmatist myself, don't throw something around like "I'm a logical thinker", if you defy your own words by acting as mentioned in *First:. It's illogical, it's emotional.
Finally:
I'll still try to see you as a normal person that's a bit picky.
And not as some "I'll go to a foreign place and stir up shit" kind of person.
