We can agree to disagree.He was the most insightful, entertaining meta-poster the thread had had in years.
Also, his loquacity and almost comical self-reflectivity seemed quite suitable for discussion of Lessons in Love.
Maybe I just have a soft spot for people with strange but internally-consistent views and the will to expound at great length on the internet?
There was a unique style there that brought some real fun and intrigue. I enjoy it most when the thread feels like a sort of meta-narrative supplement to the story. In that sense Y_F's posts really hit the spot.
But that's just, like, my opinion, man.
I found their writing annoyingly pretentious and if they were doing a bit, it went on way too long for me. They also seemed to think that if they just wrote long-winded essays with unnecessarily complex wording, it made it worth reading. Which to me, it didn't.
I am also very aware of the irony in my statement because Sel does the same thing.. but I also don't really enjoy when Sel drones on and on, and at least he's telling a story that I actively seek out to read.
