It looks like Maya Prime is trapped at her replica of heaven, yes. And in that sense, she could be brought back. However, if the narrator for that event is herself, she is both confirmed as a narrator (which could mean that her "restoration" is becoming an observer instead, and narrating the game same as Himawari), and confirmed to be shrinking (which could mean a lot of things, most troubling being that we have a time-limit to recover her from there).

Lastly, the question remains as to who is keeping her there. Pareidolia had no intention of saving her, so probably not him. That Nao-chan led Noriko there would point to USER4, but AmIOkay says that Noriko shouldn't be there, so it could be that USER4 had Nao-chan lead Noriko to another god's domain instead. Unclear for now.
My money is on HOPE/USER1 for a few reasons.
- In terms of gods, this replica of Heaven is seen occupied only by HOPE in the past events
- amiokay's screen time (along with the rest of the paranormal Maya clones) with any god is exclusively with HOPE iirc
- the deadline Sensei failed to meet back in Ch3 was from HOPE, so I am assuming it's also HOPE who bestowed the consequence and took Maya Prime away (I have to go over again what Pareidolia said immediately after Maya Prime got reset; currently I don't remember whether Pareidolia claimed that Maya Prime's death was exactly his doing, or he was just mocking Sensei's loss due to his inaction and complacency)
I think it's Sekai and Pareidolia that are currently keeping Maya Prime prisoner, whether or not they are the ones that killed her (I think they did that as well, with Himawari's help, but that's a subject for a different post).

From "DEN OF THE MOLERAT" itself:
  • The PA voice says the same thing as in Pareidolia's reset

  • AmIOkay is writing "LET ME OUT" on the board over and over, a phrase which is associated with Sekai in "Something Everyone Knows and Ignores" and "Worry Not, the Mason Jar"

I think the earlier events in the classroom are connected to them as well. "Turn Off the Lights":
  • The room is in perpetual darkness and no sun (i.e. HOPE's light) can reach it
  • Sensei thinks he's someone's shadow and AmIOkay addresses him as Sekai

  • AmIOkay says some stuff that sounds like it might be coming from Sekai

  • During the flashing images, a hand appears on the right side of the screen that I'm pretty sure is Kaori's (I don't think anyone else ever uses black nail polish). The T-pose stuff also seems to be connected to SekaiDolia in general.

"Trinity pt. III":
  • HOPE went to Wires's domain (the old district) in "Trinity pt. II", so it makes sense that he would go to Pareidolia's domain in the third trinity event.
  • The event is probably narrated by Pareidolia, no one else would say things like this:

Well, you convinced me, well done. And damn, that Kaori detail was amazing. So Maya Prime is being held by Pareidolia (and likely Sekai as well), and USER4 used Nao-chan to sneak Noriko in there?

There are a few points that could be argued in this, like checking AmIOkay's presence in there and cross-referencing her appearances throughout the game to see if she's acting as a freelancer as well, or always connected to Pareidolia. The classroom being in the dark could point to Wires instead, and it would align with Maya praying to him - since Wires is in the dark, and Pareidolia is the dark (thanks, Selebus, not confusing at all...) - but those are individual questions, and given the sheer amount of evidence put together, I'm convinced.

AmIOkay does show up just before "untitled", but that's an event where Sekai saves Akira (presumably), not Pareidolia.

There is one issue though, the one speaking from the PA told Noriko to follow Nao-chan, and Pareidolia does not have control over her. So during the event Nao-chan and the PA voice are in the camp that want Noriko to be there, and AmIOkay is in a different camp (the one that works there probably) that does not want Noriko there. If they're in different camps, that would also complicate AmIOkay telling Noriko that "with another three you get nine", since TEMPLATE9 would be an intruder there, so why would AmIOkay be referencing her?

Edit: There is also another question that doesn't have to do with this per say, but I was reminded of it. Yasu classifies different gods in one of her events and points to one of them that lives underneath a bed of/sea of worms. By process of elimination, we might figure out which of the gods is aligned with worms from that. Worms had been a Sekai think until now if I recall correctly.

My guess is world itself, HOPE, and Wires. But it's surprising Wires would be associated with worms. Could Yasu be talking about Sekai? If so, Yasu is recognizing her presence even more than Pareidolia's. Could be USER4 as well since it's "concealed"...

As a person who has just started playing this game, right? What on earth are all these theories I keep finding in the comments section of this game? Like reading some of them makes me feel like watching Interstellar Part Two or something. I thought this was just your run of the mill porn game with a school setting or something. :WaitWhat: Can someone explain just what on earth is going on with this game, but in like... short? Thanks!
The biggest tip i can give you is avoid this thread like the plague until you finish the game.It will only confuse/spoil you.Remember to smile,Praise be!

Ah yes my thoughts are shared. Its funny how easily paredilo and sekai have turned into the ultimate villains in this story but anyways.

In order to find which god is represented by worms we can think in a few different directions. There is the obvious, straightforward one.So something that lives underground, someone like Tree.OR we can go a bit more symbolic. In the game maggots and worms have been used time and time again to represent something deyestable.Maggos especially were used to represent a rotting wound,a disgusting reminder of a time long past.So if we think of it like that then its Sekai.

But you ask why not Paredola?Well thats simple.Sekai fits the definition of an old wound better.Sekai is the reason why Sensei is the way she is.She was the one that abused him,(And if my theory is correct) she was the one that indirectly killed both herself and Nozomu, creating immense pain for both Akira and Ami.Finally even after death she continues to torment him.Sekai is a parasite,a maggot that keeps infesting his old wounds. So ye i agree that Sekai remains the uncontested worm/maggot representee!

I do wonder though. Why would Sekai and Pareidola do this to Maya prime?I mean yes they are evil and bla bla and they want Sensei to suffer but if thats their only motivation then thats a bit bland. Now while i have no evidence i still want to believe that Akira the bigger picture requires Akira to be broken(PS:Himawari found a loophole in her contract with the gods. While she cant help Akira directly, she CAN do it indirectly, helping ayane and the like)

The AmIOkay in "Turn Off the Lights" is tonally quite different from any other version of her that I can remember, I think it's probably only this one that is connected to SekaiDolia
There is one issue though, the one speaking from the PA told Noriko to follow Nao-chan, and Pareidolia does not have control over her. The generic voice on the PA tells Noriko to go to the principal's office, then Maya's voice (which Maya?) replaces it and tells her to follow Nao. Given she goes to the classroom instead of an office, it seems like they want different things. My best guess is still that USER4 sent Noriko and she was recognized as an intruder, but I'm not very confident.

I still don't have much idea on the stuff AmIOkay says or why she says it. I will throw out another possibility that the "nine" could be related to the still-mysterious desk of the ninth god, but your guess is as good as mine for what that would mean.

My initial guess is that she's referring to Wires, with the hum being an electrical hum and him having a connection to the earth with his roots. In that sense the bed of worms would just be a poetic way of referring to the world. It is a good point that being concealed might point to USER4, though. I do also think there have connections between Sekai and worms, especially due to worms in her grave, but I don't remember specifics

EDIT: I wonder if this could also be related to Sensei's whale story. The larger whale sleeps forgotten in the earth's core and the whales are described as making loud low-pitched noises.

Man all this User talk has got me confused smh.My understanding of it is this.

>User 1
This is legit the most confusing.User1 has been used by mutliple people at multiple occasions to fuck with Akira. As both Moonflare and Aramaug have pointed out,User1 has been used by Pareidola,Maya and Hope.Impressive.

>User3
Now this is interesting.I am assuming with quite a bit of certainty that User3 is the only good guy here.As far as im aware he hasnt done anything explicitly good but the reason why im calling him good is this.Pareidola was FURIOUS when we had the choice to kick him out and let User3 resume control of the terminal or Connect to talk with us.Now you could say that that is just Pareidolas obsessiveness at hand(Funnily enough thats one trait that he shares with both Sekai and Hope) but thats the only time where he is this furious. My interpetation is tha the feels threatened by User3.

>User4
This is the newest player here.We dont know who what or why. What we do know is that for whatever reason he is working for us(directly or indirectly),to help us and that he is using Nao-chan as his proxy to influence real world events

I'm confused. Let's start from the assumption that USER1 = HOPE. USER 2 = Wires. USER3 = Pareidolia.

That being said, Pareidolia may have hijacked USER1 a couple of times. We've mentioned "ad infinitum", which could be him using some sort of hack on USER1 during the event, and then switching over to his own USER3 at the end. The same routine can be observed in "trinity pt 3: non est deus", he narrates the event, flees when HOPE shows up, then switches to USER3 at the end of the event.

One other time when HOPE was hijacked from his controls was during the backwards bus ride. I can't remember the event name. It happened after they visited Sekai's grave, and following Ami's date on the same day in which she tries reading him a poem. Akira starts to blackout and something takes control over Ami (?), HOPE tries to connect and is denied multiple times.

USER2/Wires is probably the one you mean by "good guy". Unless he was the one responsible for "scary room", which I still don't buy, he only ever tried to help. His connection is so weak though that we just don't understand his intentions. If I recall correctly, during one of his resets he tried leading Akira to Tojo Ramen during the reset. Him leading Akira to the "writing room" with Nao-chan is probably the first time we've seen one thing that he wanted to do coming through. What does that even mean I have no idea though.

If I recall, User3 is just the Concerned God. He's always been my favourite, I suppose. He's sort of hinted to be the one who prevented Akira from assaulting Yumi, but that's more of speculation.

User4 is supposedly the god who just stopped showing up one day? I'm unsure.

Hei fellas I want to ask your opinions the often mentioned phrase "Something is buried underneath your feet." in Chpater 1.

What do you think that "something" could be? My thought lingers between Sekai and Pareidolia (Or real HOPE that is User 1? Which god is actually dead?). Though Wire or The Unnamed Baby could also be the answer. I'm very uncertain on it.

Regarding the voice beneath the maggots / bed of worms, I think it might be more figurative than literal, as in literally having maggots or worms above it. If it's below us or inside the Earth, it might anyway, but it could just mean below. Both words, maggot and worm, also refer to people quite often in a negative way, so it could be "festering underneath the human trash."
I believe the same for the whole 'more than one god in the dark' thing. In the dark can mean literal darkness, or uncertainty. Speaking of ad infinitum, I think this sums it up well:
1720519107199.png
Pareidolia especially seems to fit into "something in between" (and uncertainty, hidden motives/true face)* rather than "the dark." He's not darkness, he's the rogue, emerging from between the others, coming from behind, something between light and dark. Unnoticed because he was behind the others at first, until he peaked his head over their shoulders, grew stronger, took control. Pareidolia (noun) itself requires light, some times a heavy absence of it, some times just the right amount to highlight the right features for us to think "human."

I used to have saves filled to page 4k to halfway through 4k pages before I went on the thread and asked for help (thank you lord of crust) deleting all my saves since it took a whopping 12.5 gb and delayed the game.
Also, what the FUCK

I would say it seems to be Sekai, but I guess it could encompass more than just her depending on the context it's used in. On top of that There was a line about hope not wanting to wake something up that is buried/at the bottom of the world, something along those lines anyway (don't remember the event). Then later in the "all for you" event there is a few lines about a thing that "sings in its sleep" that's goal is to find another "resting place". Which I think must be about Sekai and Kaori given the amount of times Sekai appears to have possessed her now. Although whether or not Kaori is the intended "resting place" or just a means to reach it I'm not sure.
