We know Sekai died in the crash, we are pretty sure Kaori got hurt in the crash, and we know Yumi and Kaori are related.

Is it possible Yumi is connected to accident but she didn't know or forgot?
Nah, she would've known about Kaori then. She was completely unaware about her continued existence and her condition. Me thinks you're overthinking it, he mentions the car crash because the situation reminds him of his own with Sekai.

But that's the thing. He's a bad person, period. That has never been in question. Can he still do some good actions? Yeah. Will he stop being a bad person? Can he? That's what we're going to find out eventually.
Yeah but there's a difference between a bad person whose actions you can trace from their morality and rationale and a narrative just deciding that a bad thing will occur now. The resulting action is the same but one is intriguing and one isn't. That's what really matters at the end of the day, the intrigue over whether or not he can stop being a bad person depends on whether or not you believe his actions are his and so he can work his way towards that goal and whether or not you think he deserves to/can actually reach that goal.

Reminds me of a character from a game who ended up murdering a bunch of people in an experiment they did so they say they'll join the main character maybe after staying behind to work and try to atone for what they've done to the community. Except the community ends up all dying because narratively, there's no way to actually make up for that so the only alternative would've been to have them never join the main crew and that's bad for sales.

This also kinda reminds me of the dream argument but in this case it's deus ex machinas. Whether it's a deus ex machina causing him to do those things or whether those things are so fucked up that he needs a deus ex machina to redeem him (I think this one is more likely), either way would be bad for the story.

One day to go, it's time for our regular game! What do you want to happen most in update 0.47?
I'm looking forward to the return of cyclops Sana and blonde Chika, even if it's only temporary. I'm hoping that Sana chooses that hairstyle because freaky Sana is going to roleplay as innocent Sana in her sex scene. If that happens, you may as well call me Bingoogus because my almonds will be activated.

I can see the Rin and Chika interactions going in a lot of different ways, so that should be fun. I think Rin is going to meet Chinami without the dog mask for the first time - will she manage to make things weird (almost certainly, it's Rin)? Is Chinami going to get a new big sister?

How are Sensei & Io going to move forward on the green path? Surely "Stomachache" won't just be ignored, right? ...right?

Lore-wise, I'm fascinated by that Rin preview with Haruka. I'm hoping that means that Rin is being pulled into the meta-plot - she is an Arakawa after all ;). With five events between Rin and Sana, maybe we'll get some more hints that they're sisters. Will Tsuneyo's event give us any news on Mr. Tojo after what happened to Wires during the reset?

I'm trying to get the rest of my 0.46 thoughts written up today because I know from experience that if I don't get it done before the next update, I never will. The subjects for this post: the monks and what's going on with Ami.

I think you are very close, those are some solid theories.

I think WIRES needs some protagonism soon, there hasn't been enough of him so far, at some point there has to be more on-face conversations.

Thank you very much.

I just replayed the event again and when sensei sees Yumi on the bridge:

At first i thought wires were trying to stop him from grabbing Yumi but, after learning Sekai and Wires knows each other makes me think Wires may be the one who initiated the whole thing. But why would he do that. What has he against Yumi to the point of pushing Yumi.

Toward the end of the kiss, there is a remark of a car crash.

We know Sekai died in the crash, we are pretty sure Kaori got hurt in the crash, and we know Yumi and Kaori are related.

There is a lot we don't understand about both Yumi and Wires. Nodoka has provided a very reasonable explanation as to why Akira goes into "autopilot" including the scene of "this town has two halves", in that Akira is compelled by himself to repeat what he has done so many times before.

Pareidolia, on the other hand, provides yet another convincing explanation in that no god can really control people that don't allow themselves to be controlled. So even if Wires was present, it's not a certainty that he forced Akira to do anything - at least no more than Pareidolia - and that's currently up for debate, even though Akira acts like he was being controlled (I currently doubt it).

That being said, a very interesting event for Yumi is "Abyss", and that Pareidolia says that he knows her by a different name.

Edit: would the moderator that edited my post please forward the rules of engament for when a spoiler tag is necessary here? Because depending on the definition, everything is a spoiler. I'm not being sassy btw, I genuinely have no idea as to what the measure is - and if one expects for it to be respected, we're going to need more guidance.
The chances of a mod just walking by and editing your post is almost zero, it's incredibly more likely (like 99/1) someone reported your post, and i don't think it's at all a challenge to imagine who it was... as for getting the mod's attention, they're unlikely to see your edit, better to open a ticket.

most of these can be considered spoiler.
but the most important thing is. name of the sensei is spoiler.
otherwise the event that it is revealed would be meaningless.
just yesterday people were arguing because of it.

I remember then name being dropped earlier in the game before the "reveal" but I cant remember when. I think it was in a flashing image obscured by other stuff. But I could be thinking of something else.

(Sorry if this feels like i'm attacking you Walkerin, i'm not, your post is just a jumping off point.)

This line of reasoning might sound ok on paper but it presents a pretty major problem. We call him Akira because it's his name, it's normal to refer to people by their names, especially when talking to a group of people who all know that person by their name. When it comes to the broad concept of spoilers, where does the burden lie? To what length is someone expected to go for someone else? Why does the onus of responsibility fall on all others rather than the one person most in position to protect themselves? If i don't want to be spoiled by something before i've had my first swing at it, i take a proactive approach, i make sure i avoid areas i might be spoiled, i especially avoid places and group i know are going to be discussing the subject with the most up to date information, otherwise i am absolutely going to see something i wish i hadn't. Plenty of people have already said, yeah, someone deliberately going out of their way to spoil you is a dickmove, but outside of that... wtf do we expect of people? We want to talk about the game, amongst ourselves, once we're all up to date on the latest patch we speak freely here, the spoiler tag is more used to compress large posts and suppress images from making the thread jump around as they load.

If i wanted to play this game with no chance of spoilers i would not come to this thread until i was done, i would consider it just about the dumbest thing i could do, i couldn't even know the thread policy on spoilers without looking to find out if i'd be safe or not, risking getting spoiled in the process... i just can't fathom it, and to then go on an expect everyone in the thread to behave how I think they should? Jesus, what an absolute jackass i'd be to be so self involved to expect that of other people, to consider myself so important that everyone needs to put constant effort into ensuring my world remains untainted by spoilers until I'm ready to consume this or that game/book/movie/etc. The arrogance of it honestly makes my skin crawl, i could never behave that way, just imagining it is flaring my anxiety...

Anything can be considered a spoiler. If you open up the game, watch the very first event and come here, literally anything we say will be a spoiler. Hell, even if I say that in the intro sequence you have to jump, guess what? spoiler. Then someone will say, well but the spoiler has to have some significance. Who judges that? It is highly subjective. We literally have had people here that saw us talking about Akira every single day and thought for sure Akira would be a girl they'd meet eventually - and were very surprised when they got to the event. So it's not the name that matters, but that I can't say "hey, Akira is Sensei, okay (?)". And this applies to all sort of stuff. Chika at some point doesn't have blonde hair anymore? That is not only a spoiler but it might matter a lot more to someone else than you. Again, it's all subjective.

I have personally played through the entire game before reading the thread because, obviously, there will be spoilers. And the only real way to prevent spoilers about this game was if everyone starting making their posts like this:

click below for the actual post cause we can't risk anyone with accidental spoilers

Regardless, I have submitted a ticket and will thus wait for further clarification from the moderation, since, at this moment, I was instructed to use spoilers when necessary. Well, given that is up to me to judge when it is necessary, nothing changed. Will update if I receive further instructions. And regarding the possibility of this coming from a tantrum, well, if true that's just a disgrace - I have nothing else to say about it.

Sometimes I just use the real name because it doesn't feel like it'd hit right to just refer to him as Sensei in that context. Like usually it's fine to just say Sensei but things like

are

moments. I know that's a weird semantics thing but it'd feel silly using Sensei in those contexts.

ha? why would I think that u are attacking me?
and I didnt read rest of what u typed because 1-It is waste of time. 2- I can already feel something childish coming so..

he said he didnt understand why it is spoiler and I explained it. end of story
this thread is not for arguing people.

And I must say people in this thread is very careful and respectful about not giving even little spoilers.
pressing spoiler button wont kill you. better be safe than ruining some ones fun. again people can do whatever they want I dont care.

edit:nice of u to react with laugh.

Do you mean you submitted a ticket with the site moderators or something, regarding spoiler tagging things? Like, I'm a bad dude and didn't ACTUALLY read all site rules before posting (forgive me father, for I have sinned), so I'd be curious of what you mean. I try to be contentious of spoilers to the best of my ability, but I don't wanna break rules if I missed it or something, so I'd be curious about this.
