Right, "optimist" was my mistake, wrong word. I meant it as hoping, beliving, or at least just lying to himself, that going after everyone can work. That it's not doomed to go terribly wrong. He is rotten to the core and is only just starting to change over the course of the game BECAUSE of the girls. However, not enough change has occurred to stay away from any of them.

Eh, I don't see this. Usually, when he sees vulnerability in girls, he have to fight the urge to destroy them, it happened on several occasions, mostly with Yumi. It doesn't seem to come up when he's around Chinami, so I think she is totally safe.
He also said, on several occasions, that he's not a "complete degenerate". While the truthfulness of this remains to be seen, I think porking a 8 y/o girl with immune system problems and a sister of your "girlfriend" would fall under Sensei's definition of "complete degenerate".
Also, unless I'm misremembering something, Syllabus said that's it's not happening. So it probably not going to happen.

That 'urge' is exactly what I'm talking about. It is his normal nature, which it is an automatic losing battle to resist. No, no girl is safe around him and especially with the possibility of a moment of control loss. I could very much see a point in Chinami's route where it gives us an option only to do what it wants anyway. There are points in this game where he is not in control and, because of that, neither are we even if given options. Also, Selebus said it isn't happening "officially." This is due to being a Patreon dev, but it can and is likely to happen 'unofficially' at some point.

Wow, I didn't even think on that line, but there also weren't consequences when I did it. It's like the event itself is one massive warning against betraying Rin.

Apparently, as for that beginning part, yeah, that's the line I was referring to. He will go for any girl in sight, including Chinami, that's just the kind of guy he is. This is, of course, only taking the character perspective into account, not the development perspective with Selebus. Literally the only obstacle to Chinami is Patreon, otherwise she would likely have at least something more than what she has now if not on the level of her sister.

You hit the nail on the head, what he shows the girls is a front, an act being used to gain their trust and affection up to a level where they will let him do things to them. The only reason they aren't all equally advanced in relationship to the point we're doing things on Ayane's level is because only Ayane is the way Ayane is. Every character is vastly different with many taking more time than the few who have finally allowed some form of touching or more. I would say Chinami is much like her sister in this regard, naive, but not the kind to just let any guy touch her, so she would take a bit of time even without Patreon getting in the way as she would need time to develop. She might have needed a little less than Chika due to her lack of knowledge compared to even her sister, though.

All main events are picture only, all lust events are animated. This is so the player doesn't get distracted from the story, which is the main focus. Also, I remember Selebus mentioning the animations only play while actually playing the game, not in the gallery.

This game is being treated more as a game with sex than a sex game, the difference being a sex game is primarily about the sex and a game with sex is primarily about the story with sex elements as a secondary focus. This is actually the reason that not all of the scenes have animation to them, usually only when repeated if the scene is repeatable, so the player can focus on what the game is saying during those scenes.

I can assure you 100% that I can watch an animated scene in a game and still be focused on the story so your explanation is just utterly pointless. Dev probably added only some scenes as animation because this way he has less work since he does not do all the sex scenes as animation and thus has more time for the rest of the game which is writing, coding, renders etc.
So for me to say that only part of the scenes are animated to make the player focus more on the story is just total bullshit because in my opinion one and the other do not interfere with each other in any way.

Like I said above, a confusing and slow change is taking place. Make no mistake, just because he did nothing then doesn't mean he wouldn't normally. No, not every guy who wants a harem is evil, just this particular one. He's scum, that's really all there is to it until this change taking place overrides that. He's doing what is necessary to get with Rin.

He knows there is zero chance she'll let him as she is now, he would literally have to rape her to get any out of her at this point. Pointless or not, and pointless to you is not pointless in general, that's why Selebus did it. Just because you can focus on the story with a sexual animation playing behind it doesn't mean everyone can. Hell, I sometimes get distracted myself when I see motion in the corner of my vision in general, so I'm a prime example of someone the decision Selebus made is effective on.

No, there are only animations in the repeated scenes because this is in no way an H game, but is a game with H. The difference is all sex is side content in this game. He could do the entire thing without it with very little negative impact. The entire focus needs to be on the story or there will be issues like what was happening in the puzzle events. Because of that very common misconception that this is a porn game site, which it is not even though that is the majority of uploaded games. That is only the case because porn games typically have far less protection from piracy, which would mean they are easier to obtain for the purposes of this site, which is piracy of games and a few other types of media.

I would get used to it, this is going to happen A LOT on any thread for a project that isn't inherently meant for jerking off, including here.

You could also see if the mods would be willing to add one of their special notices to the OP to tell people to knock it off with the 'muh H content' complaints. I'm not really sure if it is a thing only they can do, I've just only ever seen it when they get involved.

This could help both with the animation complaints AND the complaints about lack of H content in a game that is inherently not technically an H game.

Indeed, if easier work was really even a plausible reason, there wouldn't be ANY animations. They are a pain in the butt to work with as far as setup in the studio. Renders are heavier on the queuing and getting all the angles, bone positions, lighting, and expressions right for the shot. That is tedious as hell, much more so than the animations. They both have their own issues with renders being the better of the two.

What animation have to do with distract player attention from the story or reading? Where does this supposition or feeling come from?
For me personally the determinant of a good game are three things: good and intresting story, good (decent) renders and animation and if the game includes all three at once then I can say that the game is really very good for me.
Of course if the game has a really very good story and nice looking renders and all the sex scenes are animated in it, then I can even find such a game as perfect. And believe that I have played a lot of different games in the adult category and it never even crossed my mind that animated scenes in game distracts me from the story told in it.

Of course it's still your game and I'm not trying to change your concept in any way.

I admit that I tried your game once a long time ago and I don't like the fact that we can't choose a name for the MC ourselves and on top of that he is called "Sensei" and after long time out of curiosity I tried play your game today once again and I see that this is not changed and MC is still called "Sensei" (and I still don't like that I can't call it what I want ) but apart from that I have no major reservations about your game, the story is interesting, the game have a lot of content and overal it is a decent game so I can say that you doing very good job, probably if I could choose a name for the MC yourself at the beginning of the game and all the sex scenes were animated I could even say that the game is very good.

If it was something age-appropriate (and I obviously use that loosely), like she would be curious about something sexual, he'd explain it, and there would be maybe some touching, but not more, ... that I believe Sensei could do. I read about this possibility but this is not the same because for most of game all girls default still call MC as Sensei and I always preffer games when I can name MC as I wish from the beggining.

And unfortunately I'm not yet at the stage when I can choose what a girl should call me, because I'm still playing and collecting relationship points, so I'll probably only get later to the events where I can choose it.
