What are some characters that surprised you with how much you ended up enjoying or liking them, for whatever reason?

Yumi — oh, hi. I didn't care about her at all. Some tsundere bitch? No way I would like such a character! ... Damn it, she is cute. Damn it, she is adorable. Damn it, I want to cuddle with her. Damn it, she is an actual person, not a flat tsundere bitch. Oh, she is still bitch towards Futaba... Okay, I have anger issues too: I literally stabbed my classmate with a pen once. I am the kindest person in the world, am I not? So is Yumi. :3
Ayane — at first I didn't care about her. But she went through the most complicated character development. It is hard not to like her now.
Touka — another rich girl who I like (damn, maybe I just want some money). She's genuinely one of these characters who went from flat stereotypical character to likeable person.
Maya — unlike others, I liked her, but then started to feel less interested in her story.
Nodoka... is the one who I liked at first. But then... Well, most of you know I dislike her.

If you can turn off Autovn for a little bit do so (I'd guess save near the end of a event, then remove the mod. maybe the mod has better instructions)

Then go visit any of the people you're able to do any sort of h with. Either visit them at their dorms / night location, or invite them over at night via the phone. Based on what I've seen from your reactions, I don't think you've seen Ayane / Ami sex where they weren't in pain.

Didn't know removing the mod would actually work. Not sure I would mess something up by doing this. Should probably look into that.

What are some characters that surprised you with how much you ended up enjoying or liking them, for whatever reason?

I'm going to mostly ignore my first impressions of characters when thinking about who to mention because its probably boring to just list all the archetypes I find boring. There certainly were other girls that I never expected to like that I did end up enjoying. But I think it would be more interesting to mention girls that I grew to disliked but then at some point flipped to liking them, either again or for the fist time.

What are some characters that surprised you with how much you ended up enjoying or liking them, for whatever reason?

Mine is Io. She hasn’t become my best girl or waifu and I don’t see it happening for the time being, but gradually I went from not understanding hence not really caring to genuinely wishing her the best. She is your high maintenance feral green little sister that annoys you so much, but at the end of the day you still want her to be treated well in ways she can willingly come to terms with.

Oh well. I can tell most of you don't use autovn. I don't enjoy sandbox experiences very much, especially when they are this complicated

Tbh, i wasn't paying attention, did anyone tell you the autovn was rather new and still somewhat untested? I haven't used it but as i understood it hadn't been reviewed end to end by multiple users so i still consider it in an experimental testing state...

Personally i used the guide mod for my replay, it was accurate end to end except for, i think, 2 or 3 minor hiccups, i don't even remember what they were, my beloved URM was easily able to fix them so it's unsurprising for them not to stick in my memory, plus, being a replay, that playthrough was ultimately disposable, i deleted it after getting back to recent content.

Only thing i'm not 100% sure on is if the guide mod is uninstallable, i know it locks saves to it but i am unaware if there is a way to de-mod a save back to normal later, and as it only updates on public release, not leak, it means a two week delay on being able to play the new content on that save. Though again, tbh, once you hit the content wall, someone will almost certainly provide you an unmodded save to continue you on from, be it a green path or red path save you want, only thing you'd have to do is alter the lust names then, if you disagree with the save providers preferences.

I don't see a lot of people bringing her up, but Uta really grew on me. I expected an Ami 2.0 who's kind of a dummy but always brings a good vibe no matter what, but her feelings are surprisingly complex and relatable (at least to me). her relationship with Io also helps a lot to make her a caring friend, even if it annoys Io when she tries to push her out of her comfort zone. I'm really looking forward to her lust events, there's a great potential to make them very unique and fun, hope Selebus puts some good effort in them

Man with everyone replaying/starting off for the time, it makes me want to replay the game as well and maybe get a better sense of what's going on; but then I think about the amount of points grinding I did, the guides needed for the reset "puzzles", the happy event search....

With URM and the guide mod, maybe it'll turn out better when I first caught up to the current version, but then I would have read through all 60k+ words again, I guess it's just really daunting.

Understandable. It's not like the sandbox is doing too much for me, but the game was designed around it. You occasionally lose little bits of context / reactions from the world by doing something like Autovn and I'm trawling through most of the dialogue paths and even most of the huggy boy dialogue to ignore world cues. (Like breaking into sleeping Futaba's room has a line where you say something like "I must look like a monster to the girls standing outside of their dorms but at this point they know what I'm about")

Only two weeks to play through the save with the guide mod though isn't it? You can still play with the out of date guide mod and just not be guided through the latest update.

I will say a bunch of the saves I've used are guide modded saves.

What are some characters that surprised you with how much you ended up enjoying or liking them, for whatever reason?

I have a few examples. One is Rin. I didn't really know what to expect from her at first, but she absolutely won me over. She's a fun girl who deserves nothing but happiness. Her boobs are also no joke.

Touka is another. I thought she'd be a bitchy rich girl, initially, but she was the complete opposite. Though she's certainly a stereotypical sheltered rich girl, she has a kind heart and is very sweet.

Kirin's development in later chapters is interesting, to say the least.

Ayane needs no introduction. She's way stronger than I thought possible and I'm kinda rooting for her.

Imani is hilarious and fun, and her and Sensei's relationship is endearing to me.

IDK, just curious to hear what you guys think. And did any girl who you didn't notice much at first become your best girl or waifu?

I can second Touka, I thought she'd be the dumb and accidentally condescending type the whole time with no other big personality things that wouldn't be drilled into her by some awful event, turns out she's sweet and protective.

Think Miku belongs here too, I'm not averse to Tomboys but she was boring as hell as a pure gym fan. Very un-relatable to me.
Her arc into an explorative and curious girl is really nice to me, just all around a fun chr to be near now.

Obligatory Niki comment, think this one is the biggest for me, I like bitchy girls but it's a bit 2D for a game like this and most of the time the diversion traits for this kind of character is ALWAYS "Oh she secretly cares" but man, Niki is OUTWARDLY caring and kind to Akira in a really heart felt and touching way, I didn't expect her to go to such lengths for someone she cared about and the way she also tried to make Ami feel better is admirable and cute, although boy she's in for a surprise.
Went from a "eh" side chr to a high tier favourite for me.

This also extends to Maya, I thought her "hiding" her feelings was a bit cliché and it got old for me, never hated her or anything but I remember thinking "oh get over yourself" a few times. Most of these got absolutely axed over time as she began to crack under the pressure, and finding out she is like that because she can't love you is heart wrenching.

TBH though none of the girls on this list were people I actively disliked, only were more neutral or uncaring about. They all grew on me massively and I'd list all four in the top sections if I had to rate all the girls.
