We didn't have a «genderless» pronoun in french, but, if we want to use one we already have, it should be «ça», not «on».And French has always had “ons” (basically the same as the pronoun “one” in English).
As the common use of «on» is much more like a «we/us».
For example, with an easy sentence :
«On est fatigué.»
«We are tired.»
And yes, I usually speak french. And I'm terrible in english... well, not that terrible, but I write in english the same way I write in french, with a lot of comma and, of course, with a disturbing way of phrasing.
So, my apologies if you had, or have, some difficulties with my writing.
