There is a lot we don't understand about both Yumi and Wires. Nodoka has provided a very reasonable explanation as to why Akira goes into "autopilot" including the scene of "this town has two halves", in that Akira is compelled by himself to repeat what he has done so many times before.Thank you very much.
I just replayed the event again and when sensei sees Yumi on the bridge:

At first i thought wires were trying to stop him from grabbing Yumi but, after learning Sekai and Wires knows each other makes me think Wires may be the one who initiated the whole thing. But why would he do that. What has he against Yumi to the point of pushing Yumi.
Toward the end of the kiss, there is a remark of a car crash.
We know Sekai died in the crash, we are pretty sure Kaori got hurt in the crash, and we know Yumi and Kaori are related.
Is it possible Yumi is connected to accident but she didn't know or forgot?
Pareidolia, on the other hand, provides yet another convincing explanation in that no god can really control people that don't allow themselves to be controlled. So even if Wires was present, it's not a certainty that he forced Akira to do anything - at least no more than Pareidolia - and that's currently up for debate, even though Akira acts like he was being controlled (I currently doubt it).
That being said, a very interesting event for Yumi is "Abyss", and that Pareidolia says that he knows her by a different name.
