Throne of the God King indeed!

Here we were talking about hyper-Western/American consciousness in the game--the centrality of actual Christian teachings/traditions is another thing that's a bit odd. I mean, Japanese use of Christian symbolism has been notoriously tonedeaf over the years. Take Evangelion, for example.

I was gonna go off on a whole comparative religion spew about Japanese syncretism, but who wants to read that?

I'm unsure what exactly made you think I wouldn't want to read that :ROFLMAO: I read through moby dick dude's spew the first few times, and I can safely say we respect you way more than him.

But I agree, the use of Christian symbolism is on pair with their use of totally broken "English" sentences for spell chants that make me want to turn my brain off.

Edit: Not that they can't use Christian symbolism, mind you. It's just used in a jumbled nonsensical way a lot of the times.

Niki's finger is not straight and I will not be able to unsee that.

Moby Dickler was the name i gave to that dickhead who kept writing novel length posts about all the deranged, pretentious, pseudo-intellectual garbage in his head, i forget their original user name but they changed it to Princess Euphy (sp?) at some point.

IIRC, he usually has ten releases a year. He generally takes June and December off to recharge. So while the fanfest had me worried that we were getting the classic dev burn-out/slow-down, he seems to be pacing himself pretty well.
Hmm, this actually looks like he builds up lead time for "Plot heavy season" then sprinkles in seasonal events and fan service stuff as he catches up to his material. Rinse, repeat.

The first thing came to my mind when I saw that was this immortal artwork. I think it'd serve a great promo image for LiL.

Well to be fair the Japanese syncretism is pretty superficial per se. Take Evangelion as best example, the lore and religious themes were, vaguely recollecting one of the staff's commenting on Christian symbols in it , "flavours" that has nothing substantial per se. It just kept tossing out mysteries and concepts to keep the audience (Somehow reminds me of Twin Peaks, I have same opinion on these two) occupied without a directional totality, which isn't to say there is nothing worth considering in it. Like I got intense interest in Evangelion when I was teenager and I helped me develop maturity in many ways, but that's because Evangelion in its core a psychological bildungsroman, nothing more. Sometimes LiL gives me same vibe too.

I miss Princess Euphy. You guys are careless."Boring books come from boring readers, for it is the reader’s searching melancholy which works in books, and not the author’s skill."

In a way, they are. You have to remember that, while not really superficial, this is at its core, entertainment of sorts. Sure, entertainment probably isn't a word that you'd want to give to LiL, but, be it in a metaphorical, rhetorical, poetical, theoretical or any other fancy way, it can't really reach too deep.
Also, I'm pretty sure your Twin Peaks comment means you're in Sel's shit list.

Syncretism is too difficult word for putting americans into japanese bodies that by anime canons depict caucasians into japanese decorations being american schoolchildren with japanese schoolchildren roles in american schooldrama in japanese schoolbuilding with japanese schoolcurriculum. If I'm not mistaken, 20 years ago Sel just would had been called weaboo, things were simpler.

Sure, you can say that. I'm well acknowledged on limitness of entertainment. LiL is foremost a parody of everything you'd expect from visual novel. It's not, at any point, an ancient satire like that of Don Quixote. It doesn't have connection to anything and this rootlessness is what labels modern novels. There are enough self-ambivalences in LiL.

And Twin Peaks and David Lynch oops, Selebus really likes this trick heh? Well damn it I'm going to be truthful here. Without a cast of doubt I will truly list Arms Bent Back and Second Sun as the most boring Happy Events. It's just empty and stacking of symbols, totally devoid of vigilance and amazement I get from others. I'm more than willingly to acknowledge Lynch was a master bluffer and mystifier (just take a look on how contorted his sayings were and you'll understand). With his considerable directive skill, he managed to pull the strings of people into believing that they had witnessed bizarre or supernatural happenings. Question at hand is that I just really can't appreciate American Symbolism (yeah I'm not using surrealist cause it's symbolism in every aspect), in the end there is no surface plot (complete smokescreen) but symbols that can be interpreted in anyway you'd like. I think kitsch would be my impression for them since however dreamlike the media is, it's still artificial and can't cover a cycle. Nothing short of intellectual puzzles.

Hold on, isn't it just LiL.........Still, LiL has something genuine in characters and story.

P.S. Lynch and his works are still way better than most of the entertainment we have today. At least there are something to think. No offense to Lynch and may he find eternal peace in his rest.

Gonna be honest man anyone playing a Koikatsu game is a weeabu.
Although as wild as it is I don't like anime.
And that's why the game is as popular as it is. Anytime a new anime comes out 9/10 the girls are going to be made into KK cards. So you can pound that virtual highschooler, with your virtual wiener to your heart's content. Although some people want you to pay an egregious amount of money to access aforementioned cards.
