Sel has made it abundantly clear that this is a "one true path" game. Choices are traps. If this is a case of there being 1 "correct" answer and three wrong answers however.. then I have to say I'm losing a bit of patience here.
Just remember that Selebus is a person that very much embodies the saying: "It's my way or the highway".At the risk of beating a dead horse, I would like to talk about Our Time Atop This Mattress and how it pertains to the overall design.
If each choice presented leads to a different outcome down the line (and only the Ayane outcome is -currently- available), that's fine.

Now that I think of, the Casca think did actually happened huhHm. LiL Berserk Egg?:Let's HOPE that's the only reference to Berserk in this Reset, or we might all need a break. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

820k vs 884k chapter 2. Chapter 1 was 582k before 0.24 (based on official changelog info)Chapter 3 is the longest in term of words right?
According to my measurements, 0.1.0 - 0.6.0 was as eventfull as 0.7.0-0.16.0, and since 0.17.0 there were less important events, than in 0.1.0-0.6.0. I still need to update underlying model, because it does not feels like this, but there is major loss of pace since 3rd reset anywaysIdk if it is because of the pathing of the game or because most of the story now is told through chain-link events, but it felt like the shortest (and is not because it was the best, because for me is actually the worst)
3rd to 4th reset was a lot of focus on subplots and less linear in terms of the main story and plot development which is why you'd feel that way820k vs 884k chapter 2. Chapter 1 was 582k before 0.24 (based on official changelog info)

I am measuring character development, not main story / plot development. There is problem that the deeper we are in character stories than less it could be measured by formal metrics, but it feels safe to compare first floor development during first chapter and second floor development during second and third chapter3rd to 4th reset was a lot of focus on subplots and less linear in terms of the main story and plot development which is why you'd feel that way
More or less. I was prepared for far worse to be honest. Probably why last update didn't hit as hard for me as it did for others. Paper City even had me more nostalgic than sad.Now that I think of, the Casca think did actually happened huh
Sel wants us to suffer. Pseudo NTR is just one way to accomplish this. Sel dislikes it because it's effective. The author talks so much about hating ntr, so why would he have the best girl lose her first kiss to someone not us in the christmas event? Makes my heart so sad![]()
I find it’s a mixture of things. The game has become bogged down with recurring events, Halloween, Christmas, dorm wars, beach trip… not to mention resets. All of these events barely push anything forward and result in a huge chunk of the updates just devoted to wheel spinning.3rd to 4th reset was a lot of focus on subplots and less linear in terms of the main story and plot development which is why you'd feel that way
Going through update by update is what's going to kill your interest if you're only into the main story or a few character subplots. Molly didn't get anything for 1.5 years as an example. Unless you're paying I recommend you just look at this game every 6 months for a slew of updates rather than killing your interest on a slow burn.I find it’s a mixture of things. On top of that the updates being devoted to a set number of characters each getting a set number of events regardless of how much he wants to move that plot along results in countless events of basically filler.
And there are just too many characters. He wants a slow burn with most of them, and you couple that with a game of thrones size cast and well, it can be years before a character you may have been invested in is more than a background character.
I think this game would feel less tedious if he limited the recurring events to 2 a year and the character updates wouldn’t thes 3-4 girls get 3-4 events. Instead just have 9-12 events or whatever the update average is where they could all be the same or all be different girls based on what story is actually worth telling. But as one of the stated purposes of the game is to waste player time, that seems unlikely.
oh yeah, I play maybe twice a year, and it’s a grind to get through a lot of it. I’m curious where the story will go one day when Sel can be bothered to advance it. This whole last reset just felt like a mistake and wasting time since he didn’t pull the inevitable Maya trigger last time.Going through update by update is what's going to kill your interest if you're only into the main story or a few character subplots. Let's not forget that, pretty much, 1/3rd of all the content is sensei rumbling in his mind some useless thoughts that dont move story even slightly, which I, personally, skip for a while now.820k vs 884k chapter 2. Chapter 1 was 582k before 0.24 (based on official changelog info)
