I checked the event name "Flowers for Algernon". And description of the book is interesting.

One of the specific things that Charlie remembers is how his mother beat him during puberty whenever he showed an interest in girls. Reminds me of how Saki punished Akira when she caught him masturbating as well as the "Something Everyone Knows and Ignores" story about a guy (possibly Nozomu) who had his sexuality repressed by his parents. Charlie's mother also desperately wanted him to be normal and neglected him because he wasn't, another pretty obvious parallel to Saki and Akira. So maybe we'll learn something about their relationship.

Another possibility is a parallel between Charlie and Ami, with the way her "infection" apparently turned her into a poetry savant and possibly made her smarter as well. It feels like we're due for some big hint about what's going on with her during one of the beach updates.

I think one of the big issues in Selebus writing right now is the dissonance between what we know and what Akira knows. At first, he was in the same position as us, he didn't know shit about his past and remembering was dangerous. We shared every discovery with him. Now, I have no idea what he knows, but it's definitely way more than I do.

I agree that this is happening, but I'm not convinced it's an issue (at least so far). We've never known all of Sensei's thoughts, only what he chooses to narrate. The fact that he's an unreliable narrator is more obvious now, but it's always been there. This is just one more reason that treating him like a self insert is a bad idea.

Were you also trying to edit your save using a third party tool like save edit online? It's a pretty bad idea when you have much more secure options like URM.

I can see the future now. Dark route is what you said, but everyone is dragged along too. Purity routes are, as said before by Sel (I think), different decisions over the course of the game. True route is what happens after Sensei kills himself.

Selebus is all about the yuri, these days. I could totally see a timeline where Niki go down the corruption path and starts girlcucking Sensei. It may take her getting infected with something similar, but not exactly like Rabies. It may just take a psychotic snap, like the kind that can be caused by seeing your soulmate deep dicking your little sister. (and then listening to it for hours).

Niki may be one of the more "stable" and accomplished characters in the game, but she has taken quite the trauma-load right down the throat thanks to the Arakawa clan. And, there is the whole supernatural angle. Plenty of reasons she could get reprogrammed.
