I got through it, I'm victorious again. With URM it's much easier, but still a pain the ass.
So here's the thing, there are 20 different scenes you have to watch, they are named from "a" to "t", after you see all of them, you have to return to the entrance, which is "a" - and Amy will take you to the hole, that's it (also Alexis shows up now, but she just babbles a bit and returns you to where you were).

Day 31 character count 24185, 4,457 words. The word count might not actually be accurate now I've discovered as the website doesn't seem to be tracking it the same way the txt is. Also... I don't know what happen today. That's 10k more characters than it should have been but ehh...

I think that, besides other considerations like how good your computer is, it depends on the amount of images. LiL has over 34K images now. Another game with like the fifth of that opens more quickly, but it still takes a bit of time.

I have the game on an HD and it takes me around 20-25 seconds to load, which I find slow tbh. Maybe it's cause LiL loads everything on the "background" instead of those games that show you a loading screen.
Inside joke is that both times I measured it, it took 23 seconds to load (...) - If this is by design, so help me god, Selebus.
Nevertheless, if other renpy games of comparable size take much less to load, it might do you good to have a fresh install of LiL (if that isn't the case already). 5 minutes is insane.

It's not just the images, as i understand it the game's engine will compile all .rpy files into .rpyc files every time you load the game, this is one of the ways that Renpy makes it easy to add to or mod the game, just throw an .rpy in and reload, but it does mean, with how many .rpy files LiL has and how long many of them are that it's basically recompiling a lot of the game on every boot for no reason. I do know you can take previously compiled .rpy files out to speed things up, but i found it too finicky for too small a gain, easier to just double click the .exe and do something else for a minute or two, enjoy the music when it finally loads.

Not really. Pretty sure you're playing the largest renpy visual novel made, if not the largest visual novel period. You're gonna have to make some concessions.
But it also only takes me 20 seconds or so to load. If you're patching from a very old version of the game, you should really redownload the whole game from scratch since the renpy upgrade did improve loading times. I've gotten into the habit of preclicking the game and then finishing the video / post I was making or reading.

my computer is like hmmm 4060 even its not the newest type but i still thinks is other problem？this time I restart the pc and open it 5 times its all go as background program, until i finish cooking the lunch back to my bebroom hell yes 5 of the game on my screen, i guess this time is like more than 20minutes..... how？why？o(╥﹏╥)o

Weird then. I have a 3060 that I'm pretty sure I didn't even configure well. What's your RAM? I have 16GB but I pretty much always play while doing other stuff, so a good quarter of that is always in use.
Also, I just noticed it really is 23 seconds. Holy.

Well atleast Ima now in the game so i will enjoy first. few questions before start!! Is this game overall more of a cheerful slice-of-life style, or does it lean towards a dark tone filled with depression and sadness? Did the protagonist really travel through time, or is it some kind of... brainwashing or dream? (If it doesn't involve spoilers.) bruh... recently read some romance novels with bad endings, and I really need something to cure me. Especially since LIL updates almost every month or every couple of months. It feels like the creator of this game must either love it deeply or be a full-time developer. Compared to the painfully slow update pace of other similar visual novels, LIL truly a fresh air!

The game is oppressively serious and dark. There are many wonderful slice of life moments, but the meat and bones is a dark journey. I don't think saying anything about plot is a good idea given the nature of this VN. Needless to say, years later, we have thousands of posts still trying to parse the story fully up to this point. Give it a shot, see if it clicks, and if not, no worries. For those of us that this game gets its claws into, though, its unlike anything else out there. For those that don't click with it, then its no big deal to move on. Best I can say is this:
Don't go into this like an H game. Go into this expecting a story with sex in it, and any time you're given an option to make a choice, it isn't like a normal H game; its an indictment upon you and H games as whole.

Good Evening. Your suffering inspired me to make something terrible. I hope you hate it. (It probably has mistakes, but I gotta stop messing with it for now.)
If you're truly starting, I recommend you also install both the hints mod and the save mod, though they're optional.
About the game, if you want some healing, this isn't for you. Like, seriously, it really isn't. Or maybe it is? It heavily features sad and uplifting tones, but it also mixes healing and depression with them sometimes. Occassionally all of them at the same time. Again, though, I really wouldn't recommend it if you only want healing like some SoL manga do. But maybe you should? I'd say give it a try and if you can't, then don't force yourself.
Yeah, LiL updates fairly consistently, ten updates, mostly monthly, per year at least. About, the creator, well, let's just say Selebus definitely the game. Period.
