It might be true that dark thing after dark thing happened during this update, but honestly I didn't feel it quite as much.

I think that's bad from a reader's perspective, I kinda dissasociated from everything that was happening. Not completely, but like my level of emotions wasn't equivalent to what was happening on screen. I still felt anger and sadness, but not as intense as it should've been.

It didn't reach the shock and despair I had during Molly's Lavender's Green, clicking the unclikable option dozens of times hoping something else would happen.
The dread of Karin possibly being raped.
or the sadness & disgust I felt during Stomachache.
During all of those, every click to progress the story felt heavy and painful.

Something I remember from a long time ago was the first time I read Tsuneyo's stand-up comedy event. It made me feel so uncomfortable that Tsuneyo would bring up that incident in front of everyone, that I literally had to stop and walk away for a few minutes before I could keep going. That event is nothing comparable to what happened in 0.50. And yet I had such a much stronger emotional reaction to it.

It might just be a me thing, but that's how I'm feeling at the moment.
Like, it is kinda scary how little I cared for these characters I have grown to love for years.
I think I either need to stop playing for like half a year and come back, or replay the game again so that I remember why I fell in love with these characters.

But for now, I'll reserve my judgement until beach.

I still think it was a great update. Is just that sadly my emotional investment is not matching the relevations, and suffering they endured.
Do you think your lack of feeling is due to the fact that Akira was barely involved with the trauma this update / it wasn't first person? (Like the only thing he actually did this time was continue to fuck Noriko, but Niki finding out has been signposted for a while now, and the alternative was cucking Noriko again after having the huge talk about needing her to suffer, she then suffered, and then he gave her a secret part of his heart and said she doesn't need to suffer anymore)

All those other times you listed have you right there feeling or doing the trauma.

But if then Akira gets to simply romance Yuki after this, how could it be satisfying in any way?
I don't really get this... why does Akira have to have input on Yuki's struggles for him to earn sex with her? She's fighting her own battles and in a lot of ways, she's tough as shit, makes her own choices... why can't she overcome her own battles and in the end choose to bang Akira for herself? Why does Akira have to save her for it to be satisfying?

Maybe you are referring to the the joker 2 title thing?

Also, does anyone at this point feel like the dark route is just gonna be full-blown NTR or something?

Like even right now I think it's very hard for this "Harem" route to end in a way so that all characters even consent to the harem actually existing, the side characters just make that almost impossible to happen. I don't know a lot about what the dark route is supposed to be but the name implies that it will be somewhat opposite to that of the first route. Like a worst case scenario for each character or something like that.

Sex has been a destructive force at some point in many of the girls lives so it's very easy to see how it could be turned into a super edgy misery-porn NTR fest. I'm totally chill with NTR games and even play them sometimes but can't say it's the same feeling when it's a surprise after already reading 3 million words .

Molly foreshadowing may have doomed us all

No, Sel likes money too much. Unless he's gotten some assurance that adding full blown NTR in is going to result in more money than what he'll lose from the people unsubscribing for it on a game with a staled audience growth.

But he likes to flirt with the line.

Pls, whats the name of the scene where Ami tortures Maya?
Maya's "Right as Rain"

Did you guys like this update or not? I personally think it's written better than the previous one and we finally get a break from a chain of aimless events. I think the game needs to go darker, how low can we go?
Without Noriko winning as hard as she did, and Ami getting chewed out by Akira, it would have been infuriating. Even if there were some other good bits. As dark and darker as the story may need to get, it can't just be a torture fest and the update is right on that edge, even with Yuki's scenes trying their best to ruin the update.

Noriko - Finally gets a W, but with an ultra harsh caveat… Her relationship with Niki is gonna be mega awkward going forward.
To be fair though, this was also a long time coming and it's purely Noriko's fault. There's a LOT more Niki suffering to come before she's able to properly heal, and Noriko's one of the big landmines. Niki's gotta learn that Maya is the girl that Akira picked to comfort him after he abandoned Niki following Sekai's death, and she's gotta learn that Noriko found him again and was getting regularly tutored by Akira while Niki was in the middle of writing those letters.

Surely Maya Prime has got to come back at the end of Chapter 4 or something assuming that the upcoming reset isn't going to end the chapter this time. Prime having to deal with Nu Maya's reactions to her social life is too juicy of an opportunity to pass up surely. After Niki's been gone for a while surely she's gonna try to reach out to Maya and either Maya would have a different reaction to that. Hopefully Prime keeps Nu Maya's memories if it happens.

The fact there's also a generic pool event for Karin that she can't experience before halloween is more evidence for it too, since the generic menus are chapter based. Why put in a karinbetter variable if it's not going to be used before making a new chapter in 3 months otherwise.

Was gonna say, if Niki wasn't actually big braining things during 0.47, then Imani being as casual as she was during this update surely means she hasn't noticed anything.

the only question is if Tsubasa is Yuki's actual sister, or just her senior. As "nee-san" can be used for both.

This is certainly a Tsubasa event, of which we'll have three.
I'm leaning toward just an older friend. Granted, I wonder how much older as Yuki is 38, and the only indication we have of Tsubasa's age is that her eldest daughter is the same age as Yuki's. I can't see Tsubasa having her first kid in her later 20's, so I'd have to think she is only like 3-5 years old. Would that even result in that type of title (i have 0 clue on how those work)

If she was the girl who ran with Yuki's old gang for a time and taught them English as you suggested yesterday it could just be a term of endearment all the gang used for her because she was older. She might even have insisted they call her that not wanting them to know who she really was, for obvious reasons.

Yuki and Tsubasa being actual sisters would raise a lot of questions that could only really have dumb answers too so yeah, my money's on that not being the case personally
