Out of curiosity does anyone know if entering the code for these animations sets the 'cheater' flag in the game or any thing else similar that could be used by the dev to mess with the player at a later date? I may be being paranoid but with the dev's track record I thought a little caution may be warranted.

No. These are different things.

Now, to your following question, I wouldn't worry tbh. We already backup our saves every update, there's nothing he can do in that front. If ever there's such foulplay there'll simply be a note about it on the trigger guide, so that you can alter whatever variable/flag is a trap.

Right to be afraid though, most of the cheats in that menu apply the flag, but it's done as a per cheat move. allcharactersare18+ doesn't apply cheater and there's another one that fixes the saves of people hit by a very old bug which doesn't trigger it either.

Haha, yes, he once deleted my save file, and I will always remember it.
