Wait... now I wonder... how Maya prime managed to survived that long if Ami was always like that?
Because, according to Maya prime, it's not the first time Ami killed someone. So... how? If that new version of Maya was her in a «early» stage, well, she didn't survived that long! Or, was it just another version? Like Sensei loving soccer in another dimension?

Maybe she didn't? Maybe Ami killed her at some point(s) and she came back with the reset? Alternatively maybe Maya Prime just got the better of her one way or another during their past encounters. She was a lot less submissive and malleable than Nu Maya and this Ami seemed particularly irked by her from what I remember of that conversation.

Just doing a headcount. Please react with a thumbs up if you had enough of Ami by now, or a thinking face if you think she still deserves a chance.

I'm genuinely curious. Obviously, if you'd care to write a post about it, it would be even better.

I myself have had enough of her ages ago, and this update played basically like a "I told you so".
One day I'm going to be able to post "I told you so" about Ami and I'm warning you now, I'm going to be absolutely insufferable about it. :ROFLMAO:

The latest in a long line of clues that our Ami is a victim of what's been happening, not some sort of comic book supervillain: a happy event where Ami is sucked into a vortex and held prisoner by an army of spiders.

I think she's just a lost opportunity to create a compelling character. Let's think about it:

Also, Selebus is out of his mind if he thinks he can talk about Maya Prime and New Maya as if they were the same character in the reader's eyes, they're clearly not. People absolutely adore Maya Prime to this day. If people never got to love New Maya that's way more of a writer's issue than anything else.
Well said; her potential trip down memory lane with Sensei and her anticipated path back to Maya Prime, all gone after her main function that is "to showcase Ami Prime" starts running. SENTIENCE score increased by 1 my ass.

Though I'd say that perhaps New Maya's primary purpose as a whole has always been providing a sinisterly deliberate false sense of hope. The hope that you'd learn more and the hope that you could unlock Maya Prime one more time via her current hallow shell. Instead, we get a desperate watermelon-flavored cumslut and it honestly surprised the hell out of me. The ridiculous extent of New Maya's desperateness and stubbornness when it comes to Sensei is something I can love her for, and something I can make solace in my heart in terms of her character usage, knowing that at least she did bring me something unexpected and some more to think about when it comes to her still veiled origin story (but man do I want so much more from her...). Oh well, hope things aren't that irreversible when all settles down and we do get to see her again.

On a light note! I can't be the only one that "heh" when Ayane calls New Maya "Maya 2", right?

Is there anyone that disputes this? I think that's quite clear from what she says in that one happy event (when she says she's the only true Ami). It's just that it doesn't really matter to me, that Ami doesn't exist in the story as it is. The Ami that we do have is insane, and from that one's admission, not her.

On another topic, on the end of the update:

So it could be that the end of this following Ayane segment will end with a fully grown Himawari diving into the resets.

As far as this current version of Ami? Oh yeah, totally sick of her. Or I guess it's more accurate to say I'm sick of no one even attempting to challenge her. Touka called her out. Once. At Dorm Wars. So that's something, maybe? I suppose it's wishful thinking that Akira will finally wise up a bit and say, 'hey, maybe something isn't quite right with Ami here', yet I still hope it will happen anyway.

At the same time, I fully acknowledge that you kinda need an antagonist of some sort to keep things interesting for the readers, since it gives us all someone we can unanimously rally against while at the same time trying to piece together their motivations. (See: Nodoka, Tsubasa, Otoha.)

The reason I still hold hope for Ami in the long term, though, is because of her appearance in "Lamb Legs":

So yeah.

Current Ami? Boooo...
Ami in General? I will huff as much copium as I need to until I'm proven wrong beyond a shadow of a doubt.

I think we're all just caught up in recency bias (completely understandable, don't get me wrong) and that there's more than meets the eye. Something we just don't know quite yet.
I just reread RWC and I recognize some dialogue at the final part of the event. The same recurring theme about not trusting those hands and eyes(iirc), maybe the same thing has been happening with Maya for a while?

By being a good girl perhaps. This time Ami killed her not because of her actions.

As I expected I don't feel like this update was that interesting. There was still a few thing of note but I feel like I should have just waited till whenever the next update is supposed to be.

Because now I just have to sit here for 2 months and hope Selebus has not decided to reset characters I'm interested in to pivot to Ayane arc 2. I don't think it will end up with Ayane and Akira as the only ones that make it through. But man will I be bored of this game for quite some time if that happens. My gut feeling is we will get Something where we are still in Ayane's reset experience. She will have to realize that and choose to leave to survive the reset. Something like that anyway becasue everything that happened at the end there did feel to conveniently align with her. Akira saying he did not mind if the others got reset, Recognizing Himawari when she was not supposed to, getting sent off with just Akira, etc. Maybe this is just cope idk. And there is also her not being present at all in Akira's supposed reset puzzle experience which makes this quite suspicious to me. Maybe it will be a shared experience for the 2 of them and Yumi and Makoto will have their own one, or have already made it through.

And I think I could really annoy some people if I make a new tier list, because It might end up with Nodoka and Ami much higher than people will tolerate. Otoha as well but I guess people don't hate her as much anymore.

Were you also trying to edit your save using a third party tool like save edit online? It's a pretty bad idea when you have much more secure options like URM.
i was ages ago and i learned my lesson...(lessons of cheating) i just use the progress mod now... enough for me atm

Its kind of a silly way to boost affection and lust but when I last needed to I just went into the scripts and edit the end of a repeatable event to give a whole bunch for characters that needed it. Then saved after playing the edited event and restore the script file.

Is the "Good Uncle" path more or less defunct now? Was idly wondering if there was any variation of note in this last update leading up to the death of Nu Maya.
