the popular theory (or theories) i'd say is a debate between current Ami being the same Ami we knew at the beginning of the game or not. There is no real unified theory about that at the moment, there are solid points to either interpretation.

Do mind that Selebus has said that Ami is the character that most people get wrong/has most unrevealed stuff, and that Ayane is currently the best understood/portrayed one. It'd be wild if we got an "ami never existed" arc following the events from this reset, but I'm not holding my breath.

The thing I'm most curious about is how every being that knows anything about what's going on seems disgusted by Maya, like she's some intruder that really doesn't belong or wasn't supposed to exist; this applies to Sekai, Gods, Angels, like everything hates, is disgusted by or disregards Maya

Inside her head would be equivalent to the "it was just a dream" problem that lots of people including Selebus would have an issue with, Ami could wake up and none of this has mattered. Now a product of her head, since this a world where wishes can be made is a different beast altogether. Then remaking Sekai would be a wish of hers, and all of the 'staff' of the simulation could exist to serve Ami's goals.

And if it was a creation of Ami's, then other implications can be followed like that time Ami created Maya 2, who was supposed to make Akira like Ami more. Or like this latest update naming Nu Maya as Maya 2, which also implies Ami is the reason Maya got reset to create Maya 2 if it's anything deeper than a joke. Reset Ami's treatment of Maya 2 is eerily familiar to their relationship this reset.



If she created the first Maya, and then Maya 'stole' Akira's heart from her, she'd have every reason to be angry with her. Maybe she created the Nakayamas to interfere with her happiness (Other characters implied to not be real by Himawari), both with backstories that tap into Akira's core.

There's other things that Ami might have done, maybe in a fit of anger over none of this working, like deleting Akira's memories of Maya and trapping them in a time loop with an Akira who isn't able to retain those memories so Maya can suffer forever. And if that's what happened, even that isn't working evidently.

This opens a weirder theory. What if Ami isn't real in the wider world? Himawari, yes, but what if Ami too? What if Kyoto? What if she exists now because of Sensei's belief in her, like in the gods' case?

Yeah, I'm thinking coming "from the sea" means that she's from a different world. The narrator talks about how other worlds are on the far side of the sea, in particular the world with the abandoned school (Sana was told something similar in her TSS).

Though even if that's true, it doesn't necessarily mean Ami was replaced; she might have always been from the sea.

Sorry, had to get that theory/headcanon out of my system. Right, now that I actually read stuff, my thought is that Ami could be re previous iterations of the world. As for the abandoned school…I have to be very speculative here. School bells ringing from the bottom of the world? Wait, which school is at the bottom of the world?

No clue how this was overlooked. Sekai taught at Kumon-mi Academy. There are only 2 high schools in Kumon-mi, either Kumon-mi High or Kumon-mi Academy. That means Kumon-mi Academy HAS TO be the abandoned school, besides the fact that Kumon-mi High's rooftop looks nothing like the abandoned school's (from Baby Finches and other Happy Events like Trinity 1 and Letter T). Kumon-mi Academy sank in the sinkhole. We just found the sinkhole again with Io, and we *might* be getting down there soon.

Every character has watched sex at this point. 9 side characters and 8 main characters are yet to make the leap to a sexual relationship, and if you raise the bar from bare minimum I'd add 2 main characters to that count.

I used to be the kinda player that would literally record happy events for later, and autistically screenshot any numbers that might seem relevant, but it's such a waste of time and effort

LOL that is me exactly. I eventually realized I was paying more attention to some of this shit than Sel was. The game is tricky because Sel _clearly_ puts a ton of attention to detail in some things, but flagrantly half-asses others. I decided I was just going to enjoy the amazing story (and, secondarily, the porn) and not make it into a _job_. Selebus has some issues and wants to punish his players, but that really doesn't need to be a reason for me to be made miserable.

I don't think Uta's explicitly stated her sexuality but she's definitely expressed attraction and blushed looking at some of the other girls at some points.

She's also had several flirtatious/sexually charged exchanges with Chika specifically in the past (e.g Chika rubbing her chin and praising her, with Uta trying to lick her fingers before Io pulled her back) so, to be fair, with this event it's kind of a running gag at this point that Uta's into Chika.

That's up to interpretation, but imo no - because Akira's not an active participant in that. If he was guiding Yumi through then yeah, that'd be closer to it - and if he touched Yumi definitely.

Touka masturbated once to Akira's voice as well, but he wasn't really an active part of it either (imo).

Again, the checklist can at most serve as a baseline of the most clear cut sexual interactions - eventually everyone will be in the sex category, but until then, there will be a few situations that will remain up to individual interpretation.

Uta's a huge pervert. While the Chika attraction has become a gag, there have been multiple instances where it's stated that she is attracted to pretty much anyone. This doesn't mean that she's romantically interested in anyone, that's an Akira thing imo - but her sexual attraction is just off the charts. That's more of a biological thing, as she doesn't really follow through on it most of the time, and it's the source of her inner conflict.

Maybe an easier way to look at it is that Uta is a potential nymphomaniac that heavily represses herself, further making her situation unhealthy. This is quite different from Chika developing feelings for Rin. Uta's deal is just being horny (and not getting a regular proper fucking yet). Mind that this is also quite different from Sana, in that an ideal life for Uta would likely be having a husband (a single person) that has sex with her everyday rather than rape fantasies, gangbangs and whatnot.
