This is where I'm betting. Nothing will be moved far enough that the generic events need to be rewritten. If we're lucky she will remember what happened, and during christmalloween she might actually say something to Akira about what Ami has done to her.
Hmm. You know...the conversation with Otoha in the event "White People" makes ALOT of sense in hindsight, if you believe that she's the shotacon Selebus alluded to.
She says "It's not abnormal for people to 'feel' immoral shit like that from time to time, but once you start acting on those feelings...can you ever really be forgiven", and "There are a ton of us out there who are struggling to keep the shitty parts of ourselves locked away and you're just running around and flashing those parts of yourself for the whole world to see."
Seems like some hefty foreshadowing, and a dash of self-awareness on her part.

Been a hot minute, but I'm reporting in with another recommendation. I've just discovered a game called After Dark, and it's checking off all the boxes of the things I love about LiL. As of typing this out, I haven't even gotten through the prologue yet, but the gloomy protag, the dry sarcasm, and the ability of the characters to seamlessly riff off one another just screams LiL to me. As far as I'm concerned, it has everything that makes LiL good, and I'm hoping that this other game has its own little special sauce that makes this game great in its own right (the opening scene also heavily implies something supernatural is going on, but I haven't gotten to that point yet). Visually, it's more stylized than LiL and is more cartoon-y, but the characters have a lot of thought put into how their facial expressions are rendered from frame to frame, another key element that makes LiL just so damn good.

Yeah I think the same. I hope she sticks around, too, she's only just started to really engage with things and it'd be disappointing if her dynamic with Ami was never revealed properly and all that torture and stuff was just for our sake.
Maya Prime coming back completely randomly 'cos her replacements head fell off would be a pretty fucking lacklustre return after all this misery too lol

I agree, but in that case, why killing her? For the «shock value»?
You know, I think Ami should have give her own decapitated head to Sensei. The shock value would have been the same, with a lot of questions about who/what she is, and you can even keep the exact same scene! That, without the frustration of a unmeaningful death in a world without any consequences.

I've never given someone a head in a box myself but I think it's probably just a lot easier to do if you use someone else's head.

In a normal world, I'll agree with you.
But, we are in LiL world, where shapeshifter, «reset» and reality-shifting exist. So, giving «your» head to someone else isn't impossible.
Also, the number of times we've seen Ami die during a reset is quite big, and still, she's there (her body, at least...), so it won't be a novelty to see her dead again.
Man you get me thinking about all the Amis having a fight to the death battle royale. The winner gets to chop off the rest of the Amis' heads

There are a lot of juxtapositions with Maya being a "Normal teenage girl". However, every time her past is brought up before she meets Sensei its either vague or non-existent. Ami and the various narrators consistently say "She shouldnt be here" or "Doesn't exist" or something along those lines.
Pareidolia before leaving Sensei talks about how anything can become a god, and how the "worst punishment possible" for a god is to turn them human.
Maya always says she has the "Worst luck in the world".
All it takes is 1 believer to create a "god".
What if Sensei on the night he meets Maya, was in another desperate depression spiral. He wishes desperately for someone that can understand his situation.
Pareidolia says the gods had been watching Sensei and people like him.
What if they punished one of the gods in the bottom of the well? Creating "Maya".
This would create further parallels with the Altair and Vega story of star crossed lovers. Maya descends from the heavens, and she and Sensei fall in love.
Maybe the "punishment" from the gods is the current world in a Monkey's paw wish fulfillment. After Sensei's suicide, they grant Maya's wish to bring him back or turn back time or whatever the wish literally was.
The twist is that it takes Millions of Sensei iterations for him to come back, following the once a year meetup in the Altair/Vega story.
Maya doesnt exist in the alternate timeline where Sensei goes with Sekai in the Kyoto event. Maybe thats part of why Sekai tries to ignore Maya in the happy events and always talks down about her. Maya's existence would be a direct result of Sekais death.

>If this statement is true in its absolute meaning, then every single "god" we've seen so far has at least one believer somewhere, and this person is aware of the supernatural and how deep it really goes. Also, who's to say it's just one person? There's so many differents "gods".

How powerful can you make them, and is their strength based on your willpower or creativity?
Can you turn a regular human into a "God" by believing they're one?
Is this what Nodoka was trying to accomplish in Nodokathon 2?
What if the experiment "failed" because Akira already IS a "god", so nothing seemed to happen, he's just currently powerless.
Did Sekai create Akira out of her despair in an abusive relationship? Is that the reason he's so spineless, just projecting Sekai's mental state at the time?
That can't be right... something's missing.

Low stakes betting time, will the escape shampoo finally be forced out of your hands before leaving the final reset puzzle next week?
For whatever reason Sel has chosen it's been optional so far and seemingly intentionally so, which would explain why we haven't had any mandatory dorm events this chapter.
In a similar case, but one that seems like an actual oversight, the Tsukasa cell events aren't missable yet even though there are several event chains that you miss out on for not completing it before the second Christmas of chapter 4. Considering how Connor, God of Continuity is now canon to the red path, I doubt this is some 9001 iq play by Selebus. He's forgotten several other things in the past too so it's a trend.
