Ami 100% did this on purpose to prevent the group getting any further.
Also niki's event was fucking hilarious. 10 / 10.
That's hilarious considering their only accomplishment thus far has been making custom matching t-shirts.

I think Niki not leaving the house despite Noriko sex, Akira wanting to become a dad and refusing Ami's advances made her plans obsolote.
Thats why she needed a irreversible reset?
What made me wonder is himawari's reaction to the head. She looked like she was annoyed by a prank.
Possibly thinking, "Oh, great, more work now. Got to save the whole freaking universe."

I don't think it'd do anything worse than what he did during "God of Light". He wouldn't be happy but he wouldn't reset or slip or anything.
Simply because he refused to stop having sex with Noriko for Niki's sake. He did for Maya's sake.

I'm gonna go against the grain here and say it would have been a similar result.
He might not feel the same way about Niki as he does Maya but he still obviously cares about her - and, more to the point, I think the fact that it's his beloved daughterniece who both did the deed and shyly handed him the box would be enough to do it regardless of whose head was in the box.
Anyone else wondering if the head may be a perception issue, and that's why Himawari didn't seem as alarmed as the others besides recognizing their reactions?

I might argue the other way, that Maya's deadheading might have been a thing foreshadowed since chapter 1, the watermelon being part of the foreshadowing too. In that context she's already known about it for ages and that's a "Ok, now I have to deal with this" face.

Has the game leaned this heavily into yuri from the start? Can't remember anything aside from rin and her shenanigans. Maybe my memory is failing but this looks a lot like a more recent trend.
I don't think yuri is a bad thing in a harem this size, but it just feels more and more like there won't be any girl that exclusively likes sensei by the end of the game (especially Yumi), and that kinda sucks. At least there is still a little bit of room to have fun theorizing the supernatural aspect of the game

I think there will be a bunch ready to have threesomes / orgies but aren't going to eat each other out, in that regard a quick count I took of people I think will stay straight got up to 11.
They spend too much time together for exclusive 1 on 1 relationships. Even Karin's destined to have a threesome with Kirin. As it is, Yumi is getting coached by Makoto into fucking Akira more than fucking her.
No, regardless of whether that was real or not I think Himawari simply understands a lot about the universe they are in to be alarmed from something like that. Given previous comments from other characters, I think it's fair to say that she has been in there for quite some time, surely this is far from the only time she has seen something like that.

There were big yuri vibes from the start yes. Nodoka would touch a lot of the girls against their will, like Makoto. Hell, even Miku had a scene groping Futaba before it was cut.
Noriko and Kirin, Otoha and Rin, Chika and Uta, Molly in general, we could go on. Even Niki had a big fight with Akira over her being bissexual in the past (we never went back to that, but that was one of the big things that pissed her off about Otoha telling him about her kiss).
I will say though that experimenting with other women and being romantically interested in them are very different things in the current context of the game. Most of the girls would not, imo, ever go for any level of experimentation with girls if Akira wasn't banging most of them. Most of the group is only romantically interested in Akira and seems quite monogamous. It's just that he isn't and finds yuri hot/not cheating. For instance, even Chika would never have considered dating Rin at the same time, if not basically forced into it.
I personally don't share Akira's views on the topic, but it is what it is.
