If I was Sel I'd be tempted to add in some sort of intermission or something to prompt the player to let it sink in. The month long break did that for current update players.

Just make sure to finish 0.54 before you decide to take a several update break if you're one of those.
That's actually a really good idea. In the future I imagine players will move on immediately, and won't get the full impact.

I'm definitely too far engrossed to take that long off, thankfully...just a few days to really let this one sink in. There are few moments like that that can exist for people, and that this one came from a Harem Parody Horror VN is honestly astounding. It deserves it's moment.

No wayy, the legend himself.
Bro, i used to play your android port back in 2022 thinking you were the author of the game and i was like "yo this guy is actually a genius" and then found out about Selebus. You are still a genius to me, just in a different way. But anyways, thank you so much for working on this amazing port, i would have never discovered the game if it wasn't for you.

I agree that with how NuMaya's past revelation mirrored Nao-chan's situation, it's almost certainly true that Nao-chan also comes from a wish; like why wouldn’t she be?

But the reason why I am still slightly on the fence about Nao-chan simply being the wishspawn of Kaori is because Nao-chan has been so much more than just Kaori simply asking for a heterochromia family member. Why is she a mute? Why is she capable of any of those unexplainable things? Why those two eye colors in particular? Unlike Maya, we met Nao-chan since the beginning and thus any of those traits are from direct manifestation of the wish in questions and not from whatever effect the loopy Kumon-mi can give anyone. If all those stem from a wish made by someone from a different world, the hell is this wish exactly?

If I have to pick the owner of the wish within a constrained pool that consists of 34 cast members, then Kaori; for sure. However, Nao-chan's existence is to a point where she feels like a combination of Kaori's cute, innocent wish plus some otherworldly being's wish that targets specifically at Akira's "survival", and that composition is like 10% to 90%, respectively.
Kaori herself has stated that Nao-chan was what she used her gold star and wish on:

Whether it was for a family member or for "friend", etc, isn't clear, though. The actual wishes aren't entirely explained, and only the outcome of them is shown. So far.

For example, we don't actually know what Sensei wished for. Just that wizard Maya was the result according to Himawari, and fucking her was his choice after intentionally keeping her isolated and dependent on him.

It is doubtful that wishes come from nothing, though. Resources and gods seem limited in the Wishing Well. Maya and Nao-chan likely came from something or some things, and Nao-chan at least seems to be "[TEMPLATE9]".

Question for you, or anyone else who played "Out of Touch" for that matter.
I remember trying it some time ago because of all the praise it gets. I only played the very beginning to be fair, but I somehow found it rather...cringe? I don't know, it felt very "anime", for the lack of a better term. And I do understand that LiL itself is very much Anime-inspired thanks to the dev being a huge weeb (just imagine what'll happen once he lives in Japan, oh boy). But it didn't click with me.
I tried it for like 30 minutes before I put it down.
It takes very hard from this game on some overarching themes, which made it kinda hard to digest because it just led me to drawing comparisons to LiL constantly.

The MC is an absolute dickhead, and he's so young that there's no good reason for it, he's just a miserable cunt to be edgy.
To be honest though "edgy" sums up the whole of what I experienced, it just felt like it was trying too hard and jumping too many guns for no reason.

Maybe it gets better later on, but I thought it was flat.

Thanks for this. I kind of got the impressions that's the case from some of the comments and reviews for that game, so I think I know what it might refer to.
The cringe part is mostly about the MC that I found utterly uninteresting and just the initial vibe I got from the characters.
Which is obviously not very fair to judge so early into such a long game. I vaguely remember not immediately hitting it off with LiL either, though the game kinda also looked worse back then (old heads in here still remember the character sprites).

And as I said, I didn't mind the style. I liked it in Tropicali good enough and I'm not insanely picky. So I'll most likely just give it another go.
I won't let myself get spoiled though, but thanks for the suggestion!

I'm pretty sure every game on F95 is marketed off as wank material :BootyTime:
This one was no exception really, it was initially just seen as a rage bait VN harem parody, that essentially played like a typical harem but subverted your expectations.

I'd imagine that the average/typical initial experience of most of the thread dwellers on here was something like:
"Oh this game seems good, let's see what this is all about. Damn, the characters are cute, the writing is pretty decent too. Oh fuck, shit's going down already, neat. *unzips pants* *FUCKED UP THINGS HAPPENING* *pants getting aggressively zipped up* NOPE.EXE"
And then you just eventually stay for the story and kind of just theorize what's actually happening.

It essentially turned from a "Anime isekai parody harem horror" game into a "Sherlock Holmes if it was set in a weird alternative universe and Sherlock was a depressed piece of shit with childhood trauma and strong Ephebophilia" game.
Tbh, considering I only started playing from like v 42 or something plus I downloaded it from Itch initially which had a few previews that rang a bit of alarm bells in my head. I initially concluded porn with pretty good plot with horror/psychological scenes that wouldn't be the main focus. I never expected for interesting plot that just distracts me from fapping straight up

Yeah, I imagine a lot of people are in the same boat considering the site. I started at 0.46 and this was just like...A random thing I downloaded during a wankathon lol

A quick question. Just started You and Me And Her and it is...boring. Does it improve - and I mean improve ALOT? I dont want to stay with a game thats going to be as slow and plodding as it currently presents itself.

I guess it largely depends on what you found cringe, because part of it is on purpose in the beginning (it's explained later, but it's a huge spoiler).

That being said, if you found the style itself to be cringe, there's not much to do. This is from the latest update:

But yeah, the story is super transcendental and whenever it gets even a little bit deep, you're bombarded with asses and thighs to not be overwhelmed :ROFLMAO:

If you don't mind spoilers, I have written a "story so far" for "Out of Touch" some time ago: it's the very beginning of the post.
Really appreciate this - I guess it shouldn't be a surprise that there would be LiL readers who also closely follow Out Of Touch. I love that VN to death for both personal and unpersonal reasons, and I appreciate its pacing and flowery language but the writing can sometimes be a little...obscuring, especially with breaks between releases. The habit of writing certain things in the Japanese way (where they go "Is it because of...*that*?") can also kind of leave me dangling when I'm not in the habit of rereading and giving myself a proper refresher, and this very clear and concise breakdown you did REALLY helped put a lot it together in a way where I can properly view and appreciate it. Thanks for that.

Do you think it's one of those games that might give off the wrong impression in the beginning and you ease into it, or is it a "you get what you see" kind of deal?
If you only play the beginning part, yes it's cringe and it's only cringe to be honest :ROFLMAO:.

This game, however, does take some wild turns as soon as you get past the initial stage. Whether or not things are still cringe afterwards will be up to you and you can safely drop it if it still doesn't click by then, but I'd say at least get to it because at that point, Story Anon will be able to showcase their skills in making games and have much more to offer. But I agree with you that Out of Touch is probably better suited in the form of a silly anime or those manga shorts on youtube with its rather rapid dialogue exchange, and VN is likely not the most optimal medium especially if you have become accustomed to Selly's style. Seriously, before Ch4, our beloved dickhead really has spoiled us bad.

BUT, since you play LiL, I highly recommend you play Out of Touch not because of whatever similarities people find between the two games (I honestly think they are worlds apart different but each excels in their own category), but because...there is a dedicated LiL parody/taunting in Out of Touch much much later in the game and I personally found it very funny.

After scrolling through the Are You Happy Here page "again" it's not just Kyoko posting on there its all 5 members of the Upside Down House.(which really makes me think my shit post has came full circle) The 5 (or 4 excluding Shiori since she somehow got out)members of The Upside Down House are Ai, Setsuna, Yuko, Kyoko and Shiori. Ai's post are usually have red text or red starts in some of the images and is asscoiated with a X3 face as her signature. She has been described as a goof and the total opposite of Shiori by Kyoko. She has also been described to see and hear "him". This could make her the red hair stick figure in the drawing. Someone uses a blue color. A blue similar in color to the blue Himawari is associated with. There's also a someone who use green, someone who uses pink(and for some reason scribbles on everything in pink), and then there's someone who only pastes yellow stars. Also the way the tweets are formatted denotes a different person. Each member of the UDH posts in a unqiue way. *If this seems confusuing I apologize. I'm currently away from my pc and I will make another post showcasing all this info later*

Does that mean Kyoko can watch what happens in resets or other terminals through her pc? Is she looking for real world? Or her previos terminal?
