Reminds me that the When They Cry series had pretty much all the basic answers in the first game of each installment, just that you didn't have the required context to actually recognize it for what it was.

i wanted to play this game, but then i saw a drm thingy. i tried to figure out what it was and found out it just destroys your saves once you reached a certain point of the game because you pirated. but i also saw that those convos were from 1-2 years ago. do i still have to get it?

No, that was only for the extra "care packages" that was basically just side content. You don't need those to play the game, and you really don't want them anyways.
The only Extra software I recommend bothering with at first is the Guide Mod, it will seriously cut down on wasted time and confusion with the sandbox part of the game

Well since the 2-3y (oh god so much fucking time) i have been here i have felt this like some kind of "Family", seeing the same users post usually and friendly talks about random things (ngl i wouldnt expect something like this from a random "porn" game about a dude grooming teenagers but i guess i will take it xd i dont even remember how i found this game)

Huh, started a new playthrough of the game, first time I go to Ami's dorm for the generic hangout she's got short hair.
I'm kinda sure I remember him saying that the consistency of repeatable events is tied to the latest update.
Yea I'm not all that surprised. Gonna be weird when I go to hang out with Chika and she's got dark hair.
I think he said he's focusing more on the game progression over small details like that. Not sure how it works in renpy, tho, maybe he could finally give the sprites some use, though I like the camera angles of the dorm events.

I was trying to theorize some endgame LiL stuff based on some sporadic Chapter 1 / early chapter mentions. But 0.53 giving an origin to Maya threw a bunch of that out the window.
Dorm generic events pull double duty showing who's supporting the game at higher tiers with the messages on the whiteboard. He hasn't thought it important enough to try keep the current appearance on top of it too, and as shown with the Miku update he's willing to do an entirely different angle on top of updating their appearance.
