I'll change it eventually but I want to first make sure 100% not to break everything (especially old save compatibility) when doing it. It's quite a big risk for such a minor change.
Hey. Just downloaded the game. I was having an issue where everything on my screen looks foggy/hazy and I can't really see anything. During scenes the only thing I can see is lampshades. I tried adjusting the graphics setting but couldn't get that to work.

A question, though, one I guess that has already been asked and answered... would it be possible to have the character's expressions more, well, lively? I mean not in those preview pictures, but in general. No smiles, no lust filled expressions... I always feel like the sexy scenes are the ultimate boredom for them. Or do I have a setting wrong?

Alright... I'm familiar with LifePlay for more than one year now. I found it barely by accident looking for some 3D adult games...
Back then I did not like it that much, as the old models were not looking too realistic, but I knew the game had some potential. That is why I was checking it from time to time again.
Vin did change many things in the past months and one of the best - if not the best additions to the game - (at least for me) were the DAZ models and the skin variation options. That makes the game feel a lot more realistic for me.
One thing I and many others seem to struggle with is getting additional content into LifePlay. There are lots of mods and presets available and Vin courated a little list to make finding them easier. But you have to download and install them manually. That is why I decided to write a launcher for the game, which will be introduced in the next post.
Before starting with the launcher I started working on my own LifePlay mod called PornEmpire. This mod enables you to run your own porn company in life play. Producing videos and selling them online. It comes with own models, rooms and some complex algorithms to make the game feel realistic. I distributed it as alpha Versions on the LifePlay discord and some of you already did some testing for me.
I will upload it here soon as well. Hope you like it.
Now I hope you are tuned in and that I will be able to post links and attachments in the next post... Fingers crossed!

Not sure about the usefullness of the launcher to be honest, its Currently no less steps than normal. But the more mods the better. What is without doubt going to cause an issue in this game is mods that rewrite base scripts. EG Pregnacy mod and my SugerDaddy one, once a script is used by a mod, all other mods cannot use it. EG I was considering making a simple height mod for random height models, however the pregnancy mod uses the script I would need to change, so you have a choice Pregnancy or height, Or I have to patch the other mod each time he updates. Currently not a big issue but it is going to become one. What is needed is a mod merger, but Im not sure that would be possible without someone manualy merging them.

Are you on discord? Could you elaborate on this? Which base script? How do you modify it? Or do you mean "overwrite"?
Dont have time for discord. The script in question in this case is "meet_new_person.lpscene" So basicly when you meet someone they are randomly generated. By using Actor.blendPreset() and making preset charictors that are just scales for heights. It would effectivly randomise the npc's height, as they are created. However The pregnancey mod has already used this script to make some people you meet pregnant. I could easly get around this by releasing a modified version of the base script and the pregnancy one. But then I would have to update each time pregnancy one did, and if pregnancy was installed after the height mod. It would delete it. This is all theoretical BTW, the height mod was just something that crossed my mind, and personaly I am very carefull not too reuse base scripts. This is going to cause issues though as we get more modders.
Is there a reason in the bedroom when you want a wall/floor/ceiling/object to be white or grey, and the color bar it shows to be the same but the wall/floor/ceiling/object looks more blue? Like very light blue for white and blueish-grey for shades of grey.
it's the sky being reflected in the lighting setup
you can compensate for this by setting a white object to 1.0, 1.0, 0.9 instead or something like that
I set it to like 1, 1 .7 blue and still had the problem or another color coming through. The blue tint for everything in a room is a problem.
Hello. I tried adjusting the depth of field and I'm still having an issue with the weird hazy/washed out/foggy look of everything. Also building textures and stuff like that aren't loading.
try update your graphic driver
If it's laptop, make sure the game uses your actual graphic card and not the integrated graphics
