You don't need a mod to move people around.
At the top right, next to the NPC name (on contacts screen), is their type of relationship (family, friend, lover, etc), and were do they live (with you, someone else). It easy to miss, and shows the options if you hover the cursor. You can click and change/assign whatever you want. (note: at the bottom of each character data, you can also see options, one of them is to reassign -randomly I guess- were the NPC lives)

The mods give you more granular options, but overall, first use the basic options of the game, then any mod. That can avoid some problems, as the system will acknowledge your changes more... "naturally".
The problem was that you can't move in an assigned wife as there is no panel to click so it changes into "living with me".

I mean obviously it would be easier to find a women with a game generated daughter and just to marry her. But that's pure luck and could happen never.

Hence my conundrum.

How can I change my appearance? I used to be able to do it from contacts in 4.20 but I can't anymore. I know it's considered a "cheat" but I need to change the genital morph fix because my vag looks fucked up when nude.

Cheat smeat.

Just hit ESC --> Edit Appearance.

The option has been there for a long time now.

Hum... maybe doing the inverse?

Make the NPCs (a woman and her daughter). Assign them to live with you, and then change the woman to be your wife.

My recommendation would be to do it by steps.
Create the NPCs. Change their stats if you want. Assign them to live with you.
Let a day (or couple) pass, just go to work, or do stuff.
-Alternatively, have sex if you gave her/them high attraction while passing days-
Change the woman to be your wife (note: you could simply change her stats to have high attraction, and simply ask her to marry, which would be more "natural" as we said)
-Alternatively, with high stats changes, change her first to be your GF, let anothar day or couple pass, and change her to wife-

Basically, you can create the NPCs, change their stats, let some days pass (so the game has variables and tags to take note) by doing stuff -and the NPCs will do stuff too- and "naturally" ask them (to be your GF, then wife), or simply outright change their status.
But always let a day pass at least between status changes, so the game can record data.

I decided to help you.
Attacked is a new interaction which should.
1. Allow your wife to move in.
and
2. Move in any children of that wife, either yours child or new "stepchild".

Is there a way to make it so random events only happen during idle time? It's quite immersion-breaking to be giving a university lecture, and then appear in a dark alley watching a porn star get railed by two guys, and then be back to giving a university lecture.

Hello. On Linux (Pop-Os 21.04) I get these errors in terminal after launch:

Hi, try to check in package manager if these gtk-modules are installed.
Also, maybe I don't understand something, but why are you using terminal to launch game?

Well, to launch the LifePlay.sh file. I mean, the game runs, but sometimes the females in character generation have glitched clothing or no hair

I just enabled "executable" flag in files properties and now it works with mouse double click like in Win. Although I use KDE, but I think something similar should exist in GNOME too.

Change Log:
- Patrons' commissions for December. This update has the most number of new commissioned scenes and animations so far. You will encounter them naturally through normal gameplay, but if you're a completionist, you can have the full list by simply searching for "cms" in the LifePlay/Content folder, then sorted by date modified (the lpscene files are scenes, the uasset files are animations)
- Some bug fixes and minor improvements
- New button during scenes "Timeout for x hours" where you can change a scene's timeout once and for all. This is especially useful if there are particular scenes that trigger far too often for your liking.
- Some background work and feasibility testing in preparation of the big announcement I'll make tomorrow about the Broad Plans for 2022, including what this year's v5.0 overhaul will be focusing on.

I dunno there are some Universities where that wouldn't even raise an eyebrow....

There's no global setting to do this, no. However you CAN edit the specific scenes or events in question, and set them with limits about when and where they can occur. For example, if there's an event that keeps popping up during your lectures that's really annoying you can find that event in the Modules folder (it might take a bit of hunting) and look at the first couple of lines that say WHEN and WHERE. Those define timeframes and locations in-game that the event can possibly occur within.

You can type something like 'home' to restrict the event to only happening when you're at home for example, or '-home' to prohibit the event from happening when you're at home.

Now, the punchline is that everytime there's an update, ALL the scenes are in the update files, even the scenes that haven't been updated. This means that once you tweak files manually like this, updating Life Play becomes a bit of a chore. You have to merge folders and tell it to skip all the files that have the same name, NOT replace them. Otherwise you have to do all that editing all over again.
