If you wanted to do cumflation, good luck, you'll be waiting awhile.
There are a lot of things you will wait for long, even if the game is presented as moddable :LOL:, I doubt it is really possible to have a mod changing anything or adding something in the gameplay.

Let's try a classical example, a sexual slavery mod. Here are some reasons (there are surely others why you can't seriously do this :

1/ No arrays and functions : even if you limit for example to 10 slaves your cattle can you really think you will need to have in each script 10 global variables used with cascades of if/elseif/...., repeating for each slave the same code (as I know there are no users-functions)

2/ No precise possibility to force and restrain a NPC location. Imagine you put a slave in a jail and after some hours you see it praying at the church you enter to hunt new slaves. Seriously...

3/ More generally no way to indicate a NPC must not be used in the normal pool. Imagine beeing able to send your slaves gifts or invite them because they are in the contacts lists without restrictions.

4/ And, the more fun I ever add in the lasts updates, having a slave halting non consensual sex because "beeing not in the mood"

The game is very modable but sadly Strec is correct with all 4 reasons. This should also be solved and not only new content be added. It would lead to more mods and help the game to advance faster.

Yeah... That's a bit frustrating and discouraging. The game of this type should be a toolbox with more options available in each release. Instead, the dev is writing mods himself and not improving on the core game. Many theoretically existing commands and conditions do not work at all. I'm still hoping things will come around, because the concept is pretty fun and I would like to contribute more content myself.

Bah, it's a vicious circle.

Not enough mods means not enough content and, in a sandbox, lacking content is a quick killer. So he have no really choice but making content himself and, as "hours" is a fixed time, there is no way to improve the core in the same time.

As soon as you decide to make regular incomings of money you have no choice than to also make regular content and the pressure grow more and more and finally you have chances to crash.

Quantity versus quality, thanks the patreon system.

I disagree. The game is supposed to be community driven, right? Let the users create stories and other types of content. It's happening right now, really... Not developing the core game inexorably leads to stagnation - in my opinion, anyway.

I agree with you, but at the same time I think there's more than enough content already (632+ scenes according to OP and a good bunch of mods), to allow for some time to improve the core and really overhaul the game in many fronts. Summertime saga took a year for a tech update and they're still going strong, just as an example.

Does anybody is close to Vinfamy to nudge him in that direction? I am merely a low tier patreon so my voice is a drop in the ocean.

Aha I was being respectful to the person who quoted me, but you understand my frustrations very well.

I'm playing the devs game instead of making the world the way I want it.

New Rap Music update lets you go on the fetish site and have people come in to assault whomever you want, but every single Actor is female no matter what. Ugh.

I go in to want to change something and I'm met with a cascade of If statements.

The core game either needs to be overhauled or make it easier to mod it.

Here here! Modders are doing what they can, but it should be easier than this.

Tweaking values is good and all, but you can't tell me that someone play tested the Sex system out the box and said "Yea, -20 is a great starting number for sexual preferences" but not put a cap on how many Preferences can be negative.

A new player will just frustrated and stop playing, not head over to F95 Zone and find out they can tweak certain values (outside the game mind you, should be settings within the game, but I digress)

Fortunately, it can be edited with relative easy and willingness... but honestly, it shouldn't.
The "basic" game as you say, should have the basic options included already, as it only takes a keystroke for the dev to add or remove a "!" which changes a lot.

For example, we have the basic option to play trans/shemale/futa. But most base scenes don't include them. Which is really easy to edit, as you only need to use "!notmale" to effect females and trans, or "!notfemale" to affect dick-wielders. But the scenes don't have the damned "!", and it should, since they're available as part of basic content.
It's like playing a RPG game, you can choose a mage, fighter or rogue, but all the content is for fighters and mages.*

Fortunately, the game is currently quite mod-friendly.
I think the intention behind is to build the game slowly, while modders can have their fun and complement the game. I'd rather have this way of game building, rather than a base, structured game than you have tow ait months and year to get some new stuff. At least, here you can adjust content closer to your liking.

*(which is also the case for many mods. I know it sounds bitchy, but it doesn't hurts to change a simple word to include everyone in the scenes!)

I totally agree!
The contents are easy to make, just go to a store, buy a porn book and create a mod based on it.

About missing functions:
An example that limits me to extending a part of one of my mods: Taking control of a church
We just can't.

About quality:
Many animations are location based, Ex: you can't lift weights at home.
Some functions are buggy.

But as far as changing what is already in the game, yes there are choices, but adding text doesn't improve the game, it just makes it longer.

New features, animations and taking the time to improve the features already in the game is what I call an improvement.

Just reading through the docs, I kinda get it

At least add some more quests or something.

Btw, I really like the idea. I changed the belly size when pregnant, but yours is much better.

Were's the download for the mod? (I already downloaded most of your mods, but honestly and no offense intended, your mods thread is quite hard to figure out)

I have not been able to trigger any of the new events from 4.21 except for the "browse R fetish site"
Are there special conditions that must be met for them to trigger?
Also when you do use the browse function for R, then during the scene, if there are multiple rapist, the rapist will first have sex with each other instead of the player
And another thing that I have issues with is when your master leaves you in a doggy part of town, all the NPC's are woman, while my girl isn't interested in woman, only men
Is there a way to make those NPC's male?

"Modable" is not the same thing as "Eventable"

I agree adding events is relatlively easy but provoking an encounter, permitting to have a NPC in contacts, having sex and make a baby is not really a "mod", just a small feature added to the base game.

I think Vinfamy have worked enough on some Bethesda products to know and understand the difference :)

In my mind a "mod" change or introduce some sort of gameplay (or at last a story). So it "modify" the base gameplay and must be compared to some sort of existing DLCs and there are very few "mods" really doing this in Lifeplay.

It's the difference between adding some new or modified settlements objects with better productivity in Fallout 4 and adding slavery or breeding in Skyrim.

It's the difference between having a prostitute engaging conversation with you in a dancing and managing a brothel.

I played a long time ago when LEWDPATCHER was part of the game officially and I remember that it was more complex to have relationships with the dog since the character refused because she was not corrupt enough or something like that
But now it's very easy and I don't like it, I want it to be complex to get into the story, I don't know if it's any option that I should change
and before I remember there was a party related to dogs and I can't find it

I know.... I have been trying to make it easier.
Half of my mod is fixing/replacing scenes while the other half is my own custom stuff.
I also go back & update old parts too. So it is hard to keep track of everything. Mostly hot fixes while I'm playing the game.
