This game was way better than I thought it's be. The animations were great, the fetishes lined up with my own, all in all this was a 10/10 for me!

Just do what your quest says. It will eventually trigger the next quest after you get enough influence point.
It doesn't allow me to load the save file I've edited according to your instructions. It says "This save was created on a different device. Maliciously constructed save files can harm your computer. Do you trust this save's creator and everyone who could have changed the file? I click yes and nothing happens. So am I stuck until next update? thanks :/

Your save is probably from a too old version then, where there wasn't even functions to check if a maximum influence value was reached, you should start a new game to have a fresh data at this point.

The next quest is supposed to trigger at 12 points, it's impossible you started a new game with v0.6, this bug was fixed long time ago so you probably loaded a save from a very old version. Or you have a save which got edited online.
Anyway you need to edit your save and set the "infnina" viarable to 12, or start a new game without messing with the save.
