This game is ... just wow ... the writing , the characters ... my new favorite by far.
Oddly creators previous work is quite bad which makes this massive jump in quality even more impressive.
I don't see it that way. "First Contact" was hillarious in my eyes and the writing was already good. But the models etc. could have been better. However i still think that good writing overrules any render or animation you can think of simply by the immersion you creating. And that was already present in "First Contact" at least in my eyes.
The best writer in the world can't show you what he is capable of when he has to visually show it to you through renders. Cause thats a skill that doesn't come with writing and is something different entirely.
So i assume (Naughtyroad will surely correct me if i am wrong) that when making this game he practiced alot with how to make his renders etc. better before starting a new project.
Because when i think about "First Contact" i can't stop laughing at one Scene when u get killed because you try to fuck and despite seeing the female who is big enough to simply rip you apart with one hand you just HAVE to go with the option. And then you die xD (Worth it)
My first book was bought and published by around 2000 copies. I got 1,50€ (the euro didn't exist back then) for a selled book. If all would have sold i would have made 3k! But not even half of them did so i ended up making around 1.2k and lost all hope as i wrote 6 months for it to be finished. So i made 206€ in a month and knew this shit will get me nowhere.
Now i can live from writing with mostly no problem.
But a VN is similar. You can work literally for months and present it to the world and even when it sells good (many patreons) if you just can't make a living of it, that just hurts as you invest weeks or even months of your free time to create something and when you don't make at least a bit of money you feel like it is a failure.
It is exactly when u fail that you can improve and if "First Contact" was a failure (i just assumed that) in naughtyroad eyes then he took his time to analyze why and tried to improve for his next project.
If that was actually the case then i am glad he failed the first time cause this game is simply put amazing.
When you finish Chapter 3 and gotta wait another 6 months for chapter 4.
I don't think it will take that long this time as his patreons will surely increase after this update
) who got fired. If there's no twist, it may end up predictable, but it's still a great story with a lot of legitimate emotions, you could feel the tension when Macy went berserk on Brooke. Well done.
