Is there any sort of timeframe for the next update? I had a quick look but didn't see anything in the comments, just thought I'd ask as it has been about a year since the last update.

The developer doesn't make estimates, instead posting weekly progress charts for people to follow along - this week's above: #11,252. He's put in over 2800 hours into the update, already, with writing, coding, art, and rendering time. The previous 2 chapters took about a year each and this chapter looks a bit more ambitious. It will be ready when it's ready. If you have questions about the images/icons in the chart, here's one of my previous posts: #10,700. When the ship in the lower left is filled in, the update is... shipped out to the public for consumption.

I really dont think, that update will be out sooner than by the end of march . most probably somewhere at the end of april

Most of us couldn't agree more; I've dated women that looked like Macy but I've never seen anyone that looked like "Dee" from "Dating My Daughter" and all of her digital clones.

The characters and whole look of dmd is too much 'plastic'. fake and sterile. A lot of games on this site have that issue which is one of the reasons why I love and support this one.

How...How thick do they get? Ticks aren't a thing where I'm living. Thick as in intellect or mass? I'm guessing mass.

That wasn't what CassidyPRO was saying.
The question asked was if the update will "take 1 more month" -- which implies asking if it will be done in February. CassidyPRO responded with their guess that it would take longer than 1 more month, ergo "march or april" -- or 2 to 3 more months.

Basically, agreeing with you in your response earlier in the thread. And using similar language. So your critique of his response is baffling.

Every week here is a post about progress, use it and calculate your own guess. If yo compare last 3 or 4, it's even easier.
Bottom line, we don't know, but we guess March or April. When Naughty finished, we will know. But there are not only renders to complete. This could be another week... or two. And on the end testing, possibility to find another bug. That's the reason why we don't know.
