I understand, but since you do see game viruses even with all the measures taken to keep it from happening with an organized team and channels on here ... By downloading something from someone anonymous and no accountability, people are taking even higher risks.
Also, in the past month, I personally have reported over a dozen bad actors who have tried to share "save files" and "universal translation mods" on various threads on this site.
So yes, it is happening. But with proactive volunteer staff and user reports, many are getting caught before you might see them.
Also this VN has so many little nuances with player choices which affects dialogue for gallery replays and the like -- a player shouldn't reduce their chance for a customized experience by playing even a safe save file... Let alone a virus or a "dick tugboat" or an "asshole only" save file made in jest to share.
Also, remember, save files may not include every sex scene if players choose not to romance certain characters, so content could be missed to for Light of My Life save files.

It works perfectly fine for there to be no blood relations. It also is a great story without trying to bang Macy and Denise (raising two lovely, responsible unrelated young women who can simply have been raised in a foster home who find love with each other) but romancing the other available women. It all depends upon personal preferences.

The main story is all about the 2 sisters and the daddy hooking up.
If you take them out you are missing over 65% of the story.
If there not family then there is no since about Macy felling so bad about the mothers death.
If there not family then all the dreams are or should be gone or totally re-written.

the main story is not about them "hooking up." It is about how the relationship of the household develops through player choices. Some can choose one path, some can choose another and all can find enjoyment in their preferred choices. Just because that one part is an allegory of the biblical story of Lot and his 2 Daughters doesn'tean the biblical story needs fulfilled.
I disagree and I have played it both as a blood relation household and as a caring foster parent. If a player chooses not to have the MC build intimate relationships with Denise and Macy, sure, they don't see any of the lewd scenes that would be from that intimacy --- but no, players wouldn't be "missing" 65% of the story. Just the lewdity.
Macy still feels bad about how she treated the MC's wife and the events that led up to her death as well as dealing with the trauma after. That doesn't require blood relations. That's called empathy and humanity, particularly about a caregiver's death.
With your contentions, you are dismissing the foster family as a caring, nurturing family. Just because someone doesn't have blood relations doesn't mean they can't be a family.
Also, even with blood relations, a player can choose not to take opportunities with Macy and Denise, and just being a caring loving parent who nurtures their children and allowing them to become they people they can be without having to also having intimate relations with them.
How you choose to play isn't the "right" way to play and the developer has done a great job creating a narrative that offers a variety of play styles based upon player preferences and interests.
Edit: by the way, the nightmare the MC has when his dead wife yells at him for players who choose to have the MC simply ignore the raising of Denise and Macy in any way (meaning not showing them any concern, not even as a foster parent) is one scary scene for those who choose to play the complete asshole.
The developer has done a great job with the narrative to provide a compelling story no matter what style the player chooses - even those who choose no lewdity whatsoever.

if you have the MC seeking intimate relationships with all the eligible women, you see the most sex scenes. When you do not have the MC seek intimate relationships, sex scenes diminish -- there are not additional scenes which have sex.
The developer is not your enemy.

Good to know because I just completed the game trying to put my dick in everywhere I can and was wondering if there were any "caretaker" exclusive scenes since the game's gallery seems to only include scenes which you've already seen. Thank you.

You don't need one. Download. Unzip. Run the exe, go through the initial gamma black and white color bars for proper monitor display and then select default start.
Also, see OP for message about using saves from anonymous sources.
Also, someone else's save may not be the save you want because of who you may or may not want MC to get lucky with.

You don't copy over your save files you just start up a new game and choose to use chapter 7 stats and away you go.
That is if you played the last updated version of "Season 1 - Chapters 1-7".

You don't need to copy over your save files directory from previous version. As long as your save from Chapter 7 is in your %appdata/RenPy/LightofmyLife-########## folder. AND you used a Chapter 7 save from the v1.0.0/v1.0.1 version of Chapter 7, and not from the v0.7.x version.

Also, if you are going to play chapter 8, you don't need one - use default choices offered.
If you are playing chapters 1-7, congrats! You get to enjoy the story all over again!
Remember that each person's save makes small narrative and dialogue changes throughout the playing. Also, they may choose not to get intimate with women you would, or vice versa.
