i agree with you on EVERYTHING i also think the game is incredibly well written from the beginning when i played the first part years ago it was just amazing how good the game is and the interaction between the characters!!!!!!
oh and because you mentioned the humor my still all time favorites are the banana dance and marcy with the bear just sooooooooooooooo awesome
So it has been a year since I checked this game and nothing much happened I guess. Any idea when the update will come?
I saw his chart, says 80% build down, then testing. Maybe a Valentines Date.

But if that's all you want, be honest when the game asks you when you start playing. That will get you the gallery unlocked for everything up through chapter 6. But you'll have to play from the start to get the gallery for chapter 7.
Since the next release seems to be a complete redesign, will it be a "start from scratch" or will we be able to continue from our last saved game in the current version?
Not sure where you're getting the "complete redesign" from. It's starting in a fresh installation because shoehorning more content into the existing installation that is creaking at the seams is just asking for it to blow up in spectacular ways.
Further more, it will be able to co-exist next to the existing installation, and it will seamlessly pick up from where you left off with all choices intact (using one of two methods, depending on what it can find).
That sounds good. For some reason, I thought the characters were being redesigned in minor ways. Guess I misinterpreted that. All good. So, I should be able to just load my last saved file and go from there?
No, booting up the new install, it'll find your end of chapter auto-save or an export of your choices, and it'll pick up from there, nothing you need to do or select.
If you played the last chapter with the beta or first release that came out, you may have to boot up the latest version, and quickly run though the ending bit again to trigger making that end of chapter save and export. I'll make sure to document that in-game as players try to start in the new install.

That bonfire scene where Macy & Denise kiss in front of the mc still gives me goosebumps that's how erotic I found that whole scene.
It will be 10 more years before it will be totally done. Not worth it.
