As an absolute kinky degenerate pervert I have to say this is the only romantic game I enjoy and I think that speaks volumes of its quality. Sure I struggle with emotions sometimes feeling like my mere presence somehow gets this game dirty, but considering the updates come out with long breaks I can suffer through it. I also really appreciate the fresh and unique art style, that carries a lot of weight even tho it might not be for everyone I'm glad this game has something so unique to compliment excellent writing and production. This was also the first or at the very least most stand out game where I noticed possibilities of RenPy engine with sound design and animations responding to situation in the story with accurate and appropriate timing. It enhanced the experience tremendously!

Praying to the gods for a fuckton of Macy content in chapter 8

I also hope for that. But with the additional wish that, since we now have passed the more major emotional hurdles, that the new content is also a bit (or a lot more) leaning into the lustier parts of a having a gratifying relationship.

I agree, absolutely love the dialogue and story, but hoping for lots of lewd content now that the story has advanced. Anal with D, submissive/dominant hot night with M, 69 with both of them, multiple feeding sessions after so much tasty fruit ingestion. Lots of sexual tension build-up from the story yet to release. Of course, I'm sure whatever is delivered by NR, it'll be awesome!

That notation seems different (or underwhelming) from what I'm used to. Could someone explain? It would make sense to me if that decimal was one more to the right.
To me that looks two point six five one hours. But, just to spread confusion, some countries use a decimal point as a separator, some use a comma and some use none at all.

Actually, it's we, the English speaking countries, who spread confusion. We're the outliers, not the norm, for this notation.

Oh, right, yeah, that's my non-English background slipping in. We have the comma and period reversed (period separates thousands, comma is the decimal). Since this is an English speaking board, I'll correct it.

So now it's the colon ( : ) that confuses me. Most often I see it as a ratio, so originally I read it as 2.651 hours to 30 hours. Now it's updated to 2,651 hours, but then it doesn't track to the 30. Since it's hours, is that 30 seconds? 30 minutes? So two thousand, six hundred and fifty one hours and thirty minutes spent on chapter 8?!

That's 110+ full days, or 331.44 8 hour work days. Which is crazy (in an impressive, but also 'are you okay?' way).

Damn.

Being a mutt of a civilisation, separating yourself from your closest neighbours, dominating and colonising the world till the sun never sets on your empire, then handing that baton off to your rebellious kid who also dominates the planet, will do that.

The English speaking empires don't really have to make sense, everyone else had to panic and try and understand them, like victims in an abusive household trying to divine what was going to set off the next bout of extreme violence.

Oh, it can get much, much better.
  • Switzerland: There are two cases: An apostrophe as a thousands separator along with a dot "." as the decimal separator are used for currency values (for example: 1'234'567.89). For other values, the -style 1234567,89 is used with a comma "," as the decimal separator. The apostrophe is also the most common variety for non-currency values: 1'234'567,89 —.
I'll spare you my war stories about a commonly used ERP system by a well known cloud provider, where some parts seem to prefer the one notation, and other parts the other, and those parts try to communicate with datasets that are encoded using the user's regional settings.

Now the electronics engineer in me wants to write that down as 2k65 hrs, would that have helped?

It's obviously 30 minutes.

Standard time notation is H:M:S

so 5:15 is five hours and 15 minutes (if that is the context of the narrative) or its 5 minutes and 15 second (if that is the context of the narrative)

Same with 2651:30 --- since we know the context of the narrative is hours (as shown in my response in a post preceding NaughtyRoad's post - and it would be ridiculous to assume it's minutes because that is only 44 hours), we know that it is 2651 hours and 30 minutes.

Yes, two thousand, six hundred and fifty one hours and thirty minutes spent on chapter 8 for developing, writing, coding, designing, rendering, editing, revising, compiling, etc.

That's in under 13 months (chapter 8 work started 11 Oct 2023). That's on top of his work that pays the bills and spending time with family.

First off, I'll just admit I can be contextually dim on occasion. But if you're going to use the H:M:S format, use the whole thing for clarity. So, 2651:30:00. Much harder to misinterpret that (though depending on how little sleep, or how much -OH in the bloodstream, could still be accomplished). Or just round up or down and state hours worked on this chapter, why specify 30 minutes when you're talking about thousand of hours, and if you want to include that, 2651.5 hours is right there? There's a lot of options and assumptions that could be made. I was asking for more info, which is usually the best thing to do if one is feeling unclear.

The important take away is clear, dev has put a lot of time into this chapter, and I'm here in this thread because their work has already impressed me deeply. Honestly, if they have another job, they may want to scale back on something, because that's too many hours a week to work, imo.

But anyways, congrats to the dev on all the work they've done, I wait in antici...........

...pation, and will happily wait for when they think it is ready to share. Obviously.
