Anyone having problems fighting goblins once they capture any of the characters? They just seem to jump in power to the point I can't beat them! Currently only using Journey, Treu & Samara (who is currently subjugated by the gobos), all level 8/9, decent gear and upgrades. is anyone else struggling with this, or am I underlevelled/need to git gud etc?
I haven't tried the newest version yet, but if it's anything like the previous versions:
Leveling doesn't really matter all that much.
What you need is good gear - try a few runs in the lower levels (just avoid the enemies) and collect as much gear as possible.
Some weapons/combos are (almost) gamebreakingly good.
If you don't have an AOE attack already, get some bombs to deal with larger groups of enemies.
Also, always have a ton of replenishing items at hand.
It's pretty much all you'll ever need to spend your money on anyways.
And f you haven't done so already: It also helps to unlock the better skills in the skill tree.
The "currency" you need for that is earned by defeating a boss - so just farm the first boss for that once you've gained some good gear (I guess you already know that, but I don't want to give incomplete advice).
If that still doesn't help, take a bath with enhancements in the area you feel is lacking.
