Yeah, I noticed it the last build but forgot again. Too many naming changes: The VN, the images, the labels, the variables... it's too damn much tbh. There are label name changes in v0.3.1 that weren't in v0.3... it's driving me nuts.

Just like to take this opportunity to thank you for the update on your mod. Everything now works with 3.0, the old mod didn't do its job at all. Great work.
Seriously still couldn't spend 5 minutes making the changes you make to sound options be persistent and not reset every time you start the game, and make the stupid sound effects like the bear growling be muted when you turn the sound down.
This is the dev. He even forces the sfx volume at time (other times he doesn't). For example all the "bear growls" will respect the Player's settings except one where he forces it.
He also forces the sound volume setting on each restart with this line:
define config.default_sfx_volume = 0.5(This is fine, it only sets the volume on very first VN start (if the Player doesn't have a persistent yet)
_preferences.set_volume('sfx', 0.5)(This one forces it to other than what has been read from the persistent meaning this command occurs AFTER the persistent is read by RenPy)
So, RenPy's "sound" persistent is being overridden by his script coding.
Edit: Yep, he's even overriding the persistent sound settings in other places as well. I can fix this for the mod (by hijacking the bits of his code and changing them to respect the persistent file). I can make that a part of a maintenance update if you want.
Circumvented the dev's decision to force sound mixer settings in Preferences to override those of the Player's persistent file (in layman's terms that means your settings are remembered as you want them, not what you are forced to have).
Corrected the VN's name change within the mod's information screen (accessed from the Main Menu) as noted in the post found here.
Simply download and reinstall over existing mod installation, overwriting as requested if necessary.
Hey, yeah, preparing for steam version 1.0 which will be ep4 (full season 1)
Added achievements, and small fixes like fixed missing or wrong frames,
removed the audio reset at the start things of that nature.
The big thing is the achievements, and sync with steamworks.
which changes the game structure as steam demands the game itself will be in top directory of the zip file.
and the 3 versions in one WIN/MAC/LINOX together.
My understanding is that there's no new content from v0.3.1, so theoretically yes, it should be fine (it'll simply convert the current version to v0.3.1). As the dev posted above your post it's basically Steam code and fixes (most all the fixes I had already done that I'm aware of). There's an additional dev post here that explains the differences.
That said I have not had time yet to do a direct comparison... so be the guinea pig for the rest of us and see what happens
Edit: See post here for dev response. Deciphering "you are right though" in that post doesn't elaborate to which question I asked I was right about... so take it with a grain of salt.

Note: The VN is Prologue and just released so keep your expectations of the mod grounded for the time being as this is the foundation for what is yet to be released pending future VN updates (there's only so much content so far to work with).
Modder: Sancho1969 F95 Mod Version: v0.3.1 Game Version: v0.3.1 Language: English
Features:
Improved aesthetics with animated mod menus/screens, all fully customizable to tailor your personal experience.
Too many story branches got you down 'cause you can't remember which of your saves is which? I gotcha covered. Includes the Original SanchoMod save description feature. Often imitated (including the use of my GUI buttons) the SanchoSave is more intelligent and efficient, saving you keystrokes as it autoloads the save slot descriptions and it also allows you to completely escape the process of saving if you wish (I've personally not seen this feature with other imitations). Feature can be toggled on/off anytime as desired.
Adds multiple exhaustive stats screens always accessible via the MiniMenu or Options menu. Resizable, toggle-enabled, various formats, and more.
Adds in-game walkthrough (ChoiceGuide) noting all variable changes and highlighting important choices. Can be toggled on/off at anytime, play as YOU want to play. You are not forced to view spoilers if you do not wish.
Multiple opacity and text sizing options to customize your experience including dialogue boxes, text and fonts, QuickMenu sizing and format versions, and more. All can be toggled on/off as desired, again allowing you even more control to tailor your experience.
Adds a custom fully unlocked scene gallery (SanchoGallery) that runs completely independent.
Adds professionally coded custom cheats (SanchoCheats) if applicable (varies from port to port).
Adds the ability to view multiple scenes (SanchoSplits) if menu choice has a scene/route split (varies from port to port).
Too many new features to list (see FAQ below for even more features implemented in the latest Core).
