Seems to be a pattern - had to choose only one LI to spend the night with at the end of S1 too.

For anyone who has played the full S2 and tried the different paths - was there any difference in how S2 played out depending on who you spent the night with at the end of S1??

If "no" then the choice at the end of S2 might just be window-dressing. If "yes" then who knows?

exactly brother and it's frustrating because the game does give you options early on to reject people but then forces things

like I went to sleep alone in season 1 and I woke up with somebody in my bed

in season 2

and no matter how much you tried to reject the blonde girl in the beginning you still end up in a relationship with her no matter what

but this is supposed to be a choice-driven visual novel

and even though you don't sleep with anybody when they give you a chapter summary at the end

the game will tell you you slept with people you never slept with

also when you reject a girl they act like they have never been rejected and it carries no consequence

again the game says it's a choice-driven visual novel and choices matter:oops:
I went to sleep with the asian chick and woke up with the princess...

If you choose Valery, MC would say Freya is "just a fwiend". Lmao.

I'm okay with choosing one of them, but at this point, MC is just a major dick.

In season 2, the sisters walk a fine line between facing danger and being the danger themselves.

Whether they're out in the wild with chaos unfolding around them or tangled up in more intimate adventures, there's one thing you can always count on - they're in it together.

That unbreakable bond and the shared thrills makes them such a powerful and unforgettable duo.

This continuity issue with the ending and beginning of parts 1 and 2 is a prime example of the learning curve developers of branching story lines run into. It's actually quite difficult to be a good story writer and allow for segments of your story to diverge into different narratives whether they re-converge or not. Even though kinetic novels are probably less popular, I think most developers would benefit from gaining experience in the various other aspects of VN development before attempting meaningful choices that result in branching story lines. Even a single type of choice, like whether or not a character becomes an LI, can be difficult without a good story board or flow chart.
You're correct, of course, but also being far more diplomatic and forgiving than I. I finally got around to loading and playing (or starting to play) this update and season two start and progression is inexcusably flawed. If they go back and do a rewrite I might pick it up again.

accept your mother's offer and you will see that the game restarts for nothing, the scenes are mixed up, the text does not match the image, the story of season 2 has no introduction, you wake up and they're on a divine mission to find an artifact that came out of my ass. so no, don't buy the game if it is not reworked because at the moment it is not professional

OK, fine. You don't like the game, so don't play it and please stop posting over and over in this thread which keeps adding new alerts for everyone who does like the game and follows this thread.
I like the game but I expect the same quality as season 1 , there are so many flaws , that I wonder: did they test their own games before posting them, but you can defend the studio if you want and get used to this unfinished work, if you sell your work, your work must be well done

Do you as a metal worker have patrons? Do you sell access to your products early, do you sell a look into the design process? That's what's for sale on patreon. Finished products are for sale at stores... you don't work under a patronage system. You're either deliberately making a bad faith comparison, or just don't understand how things outside of your world view work... take your pick.

steam is a store and Jubei is a studio and yes I understand how Patreon works but in the end it's the same you sell a product so you have to please your customer

you need to design your product with customer so yes we sell our work before and you can work as metal worker under a patronage and you can or not have patron (boss)

The join the cult ending was disappointing, at least have a little dicking down of the queen... I like villainous ladies and so far Jez has only given up a BJ, and nothing from Lilith or the Queen.

OK, I know I'm late to this party, but just started playing through part 1 and part 2.

The dev really takes the Dragon Age approach to blood spatter on their characters. lol

Between the blood spatter and the general butchering of the english language, it's been an amusing ride.

Did you mean 'plateau'?

*Edit : Actual bug report time Jubei . In this sequence of the script, you accidentally have an early look at the praying giant/oni/monster standing before you do the reveal in the dialog (scene S2L3S3C013).

Follow up: Digging through the code base a bit, I can see the proper image for S2L3S3C013.jpg in the levels/level3/images/scene3_book/ folder. However, this image is not getting referenced. Instead the image S2L3S3C016.jpg is being referenced in this call:

Code:
    scene S2L3S3C013 with dissolve
"She walks down spreading from the left, and so does Riaku from the right."
"You advance slowly drawing your daggers and ready for anything."

The gallery unlock also references S2L3S3C013, but shows the image for scene S2L3S3C016. Seems to be some confusion here.

S2L3S3C013.jpg:
S2L3S3C013.jpg

S2L3S3C016.jpg:
S2L3S3C016.jpg

*Edit 2: This mis-display issue is more rampant in episode 2 than I originally guessed. It wasn't nearly so bad in episode 1, so maybe it is something the dev fixes over time when they have a chance to go back and clean it up? Or perhaps they are under more of a time crunch as more patrons demand output?
